Indoor pool and hot tub. The location was ideal for eating in town and also for quickly getting on the highway to go to Pisgah. Also I was allowed to keep my bicycles in the room, a real plus

Paying $20 a day for parking. The toilet was a little older and lever sometimes needed to be fooled with and I couldn't get the dark out curtains to close completely.

Location was excellent, restaurants, shops etc. were all within easy walking distance of 3-4 blocks. The staff was very friendly and responsive. Elevators were quick and available despite the hotel being full.

Our room needed to be serviced properly in the beginning. For example, in the shower the liquid body soap container was empty and the shampoo was almost out plus there was only one disposable coffee cup and only one real coffee (with caffeine) and a single creamer. Housekeeping staff needs to do a better job in making sure rooms are fully supplied with these items for the bathroom and coffeemaker. The downstairs automated snack shop was a low on items for sale and there needs to be a better selction.

The hotel was very enjoyable to stay in. The staff was accommodating with our late arrival on our first day. The beds were very large and comfy. The Internet TV was a plus for when we wanted to just relax in the room. The hotel was within walking distance to a lot of restaurants, bars, shops, music venues, and sightseeing. There were also lovely views of the mountains.

Room was very nice. The only issue was the sliding door on the bathroom was a little weird. The door didn't lock and if someone was in there with the door closed and someone else came into the room, the room door hits the bathroom door and knocks it open.

We were able to check in very early since we got to town much sooner than expected. The front desk staff were always welcoming and pleasant. The self parking was very easy....there is a fee, but it it much more than makes up for the convenience of being able to WALK EVERYWHERE in town easily. We only had to move the car to take our hikes and explore other local areas. The breakfast and staff were amazing. The lobby bar was well stocked and staffed.

Nothing. It exceeded our expectations.

Great location, clean accommodations, easy access to surrounding Asheville attractions. And friendly staff.

The hotel could do with some updates. New paint in the elevators, new caulking in the bathrooms, updating the wallpaper, some pieces of wood were chipped on some of the furniture pieces. Just overall general updates. Will bring this hotel back to its former glory.

The location.

The maid was not very attentive, and put a towel in the door to keep it open, but we had to remove it because every two minutes there was a loud slam, and we were trying to relax. We were in 607, and there was an extra door that housed ours and 608, this was the one she was letting slam, so we had to pull out the towel to shut it and prevent the slamming.

The pool was closed and we weren’t told until we arrived. Also, the exit from the parking lot was blocked by a large crane, so I couldn’t get me car out and missed my scheduled tour.

This property is perfect and the number one reason is because of the employees. Every single employee is attentive, knowledgeable, respectful, informative, and enjoys his/her job. We included the free breakfast - do this! Our wait person in the morning has been an employee at the Renaissance for 22 years. This is unheard of today and she was fabulous. The entire breakfast crew is commendable. The suggestions from our front desk person when we walked in were our favorite places to eat/see. We enjoyed the bartenders in the small bar at night. The pool and whirlpool were mostly empty so we used both every night - fabulous! The fitness center serves anyone’s needs while traveling. Self parking is the easiest I have encountered. it is obvious the employees love this hotel and Asheville and they want visitors to love their city, also.

It is not the newest Renaissance, but it is lovingly cared for.

Clean. Professional. Comfortable. Good location for touring Asheville.

Parking 22$/day to stay in an outside, unsecured lot. $75 per day security deposit.

Room had floor-to-ceiling windows and a big cozy bed. We glasses of welcome champagne when we arrived to check in - loved that. Easy to talk to the places we were visiting!

I would have preferred a stylish walk-in shower instead of those old-feeling tubs in the bathroom. Also, paying $22 a day to park when there are two large parking lots seems a little bit absurd.
