Such a cool place to stay! A lovely, very old pub right in the middle of Fowey. It was great to have our own private bathroom (which was very spacious) - it was across the hall but that didn't worry us. Lovely breakfast the next morning before we left. Located centrally so we could walk everywhere. And I like being able to make a cup of tea in the room, something Europe isn;t good at! Tip: we parked at the top of the village and walked down to the pub. In the moaning we caught the local van driven by Julie (I think) up the hill as it is quite a hike!

We did hear people who were in the courtyard drinking after we had gone to bed but to be fair it is a pub.

Breakfast is excellent, but only served from 9-10. Room is comfortable but not very modern. Basic. Location is dead in the center of town; perfect. Free bottled water through the whole stay. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

The shower is one that is mounted on a pole, so basically you have to hold the cord in your hand to aim it. No shelf in the bathroom, so I scooted my suitcase in there and used the top of it as a shelf. No shampoo; just a basic and very weak body wash provided in the shower.

Right in the middle of where you want to be, so close to the town and quay. Parking is tricky and you may need to drop off your bags first, but the local car parks are very walkable from the pub(this is based on out of season). If you have a disability this may not be the place for you, not only for the parking but the pub has only have stair access to the rooms and rickety at that. Room was very comfortable with an on suite bathroom/shower. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room and TV, though none of the two remotes worked on the TV. We Managed to work out how to turn on and off, change channels etc manually. The breakfast was superb. You could have as much or little as you would want, plenty of choice. GREAT.

Nothing accept the remotes for the TV. If we were there for longer I would have asked them to resolve the problem.

We loved the traditional pub stay and our room was spacious and had a great shower and the bathroom was newly done. There is no parking - this is a 10min walk to a long stay car park that you pay for. We parked and packed a back pack for two nights and walked back. We had two great meals and enjoyed the atmosphere of the pub and our breakfast was included which was also nice. On the Saturday we had a musician playing guitar and singing and he was very good which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Traditional pub in heart of Fowey. Great atmosphere - it was buzzing on both nights we stayed with both locals and visitors. Live music on the Saturday night had people up and dancing and bar was full. Well kept beer. Fish and chips lovely and crispy and huge portion of mussels. Superb breakfast. Room was comfortable and bathroom modern and clean with good shower and fluffy towels. Convenient for coastal path. Helpful friendly staff.

Peeling wallpaper / plaster cracks in the room - appreciate the building is old but a little bit of maintenance would make a big difference.

The Ship Inn is a lovely building within the centre of Fowey, and perfectly located for a relaxing stay in Fowey or to explore Cornwall. It’s an old, quirky building, so the bedrooms are not massive, but are clean, tidy and comfortable. The breakfast was great, with several cooked option and plenty of toasts, cereals etc to keep you going. Friendly staff, and a busy little pub, with music etc. which is really nice to see.

I didn't not like anything.

Rooms seemed to be newly refurbished and to a high standard. Good tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. Dog friendly which was a priority for us. Very central location. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic! We really enjoyed the food and quality. Bar and restaurant staff were extremely friendly. Loved the live music on the night we stayed.

Check in was at the bar, there was only one person behind the bar at the time we arrived so it felt like an inconvenience to others waiting for drinks.

All staff were very warm and welcoming. Very willing to accommodate dietary needs for breakfast. My vegan breakfast was nothing short of wonderfully tasty and plenty off it. Utterly delicious. I loved my room, tastefully decorated, to keep in harmony with the building and I had a lovely view of the street below. My additional bathroom was also beautifully designed too. The entire pub felt as if I had stepped back in time. I expected Poldark to come sweeping through the pub door at any given minute. With two roaring log fires being attentively fed, I felt very cozy and found it extremely hard to pack up and leave when my holiday was over!

The location. This is a very old public house with no mod cons, creepy uneven floors etc and it’s all the better for it!! The staff were really helpful as we had to leave early the next morning before breakfast would normally be served. However, they went out of their way to accommodate us!

Nothing. Enjoy the history of the place! Be aware, as others have already mentioned, the car park is a steep walk from the Inn. Travel light if you can.

Located right in the centre of Fowey. We stayed for two nights. The room and bed were comfortable and the bathroom was modern and large, great shower! A lovely old historic pub, dog friendly in the rooms and the pub/restaurant. Food was fantastic! We ate there both nights that we stayed and the breakfast was good too. Lively pub, music/dj on the Saturday night. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Dj went on quite late on the Saturday night, 12.30am, so not good if you want an early night. Church bells chime through the night but didn't really bother us. Pillows could do with replacing as they were quite thin, my partner had to ask for an extra one. The room could have done with a chair, as the only thing to sit on was the bed.
