**Review of Hilton Helsinki Kalastajatorppa** During my recent stay at the Hilton Helsinki Kalastajatorppa, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional quality of service and the overall experience. This hotel truly embodies the essence of luxury and comfort, making it a standout in Helsinki. **Location and Surroundings** Situated in a serene and picturesque location, the Hilton Helsinki Kalastajatorppa offers breathtaking views of the Gulf of Finland. The tranquil environment provides a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet it's conveniently close to central Helsinki, making it easy to explore local attractions. **Accommodation** The rooms are spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with large windows that allow natural light to flood in and offer stunning views. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The amenities provided were top-notch, including high-speed internet, a well-stocked minibar, and a luxurious bathroom with high-quality toiletries. **Dining Experience** The on-site restaurant did not disappoint. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. From traditional Finnish dishes to international cuisine, there was something to satisfy every palate. The dinner menu was equally impressive, with beautifully presented dishes that were as delightful to the taste buds as they were to the eyes. **Facilities and Services** The hotel's facilities are extensive and well-maintained. The fitness center is well-equipped, and the indoor swimming pool is a great place to unwind. The sauna experience was a particular highlight, offering a true taste of Finnish culture. The conference facilities are state-of-the-art, making this hotel an excellent choice for business travelers as well. **Staff and Service** The service at Hilton Helsinki Kalastajatorppa is second to none.

Beautiful location, in a quiet, leafy suburb, right on the waterfront. One of the best hotel breakfasts ever! Amazing selection of hot and hot buffet items, lots of selection for various dietary needs and tastes. The hotel restaurant for evening meals is equally wonderful! Beautiful setting overlooking the water and sunset, with a great menu. Good gym, reasonable size indoor pool and great sauna.

The curtains in the hotel room were terrible! They didn't close fully, they were full of holes, and very little protection from sunlight, so made it difficult to sleep. The room was also too hot, with no option to change the room temperature. The heavy duvet didn't help with the temperature either!

Everything! This is (one of) the best hotel(s) I’ve ever stayed in. Wonderful location: Green, quiet and peaceful locations, with free parking and easy tram connection to city centre. But there’re also things to see and explore within walking distance. Super comfortable(and soundproof!) room, especially beds. Amazing breakfast. Very good restaurant with sea view. Swimming pool and sauna. Super friendly staff. Outstanding value for money!

Difficult to think of something. Well, the pool is rather small, and whenever we went there, it was pretty full. Only big adult bikes available for rent. And armchairs in the reception lobby make a horrible “creeeeak” sound when moved; this can easily be solved by attaching felt tips to the chairs’ legs.

View from the seaside room was wonderful. Everything was clean and functional, and the restaurant exceeded expectations. The sauna was luxurious and private, and my son loved the pool. Several great playgrounds within easy walking distance, and the cafe just a few minutes' walk away from the hotel was absolutely perfect for breakfast with lots of options for everyone. The walking path by the water makes it easy to go for a quick walk or jog.

Only wish the sauna hours were extended on Sunday! Decor in the rooms is a little dated but totally fine. Really didn't have any issues to speak of.

We were very lucky with the room we got - it had a fabulous view directly to the sea. Also, the room was large and very comfortable, probably recently renovated; it exceeded our expectations. The location of the hotel is fabulous, in the beautiful nature. It is very quiet and relaxing to be there, and one can also take wonderful walks around.

The corridors leading towards the room are desperately in need of renovation and they have a foul smell. Also, the pool and sauna area is in need of renovation.

Located directly at the lake, the location was simply just amazing. Looking back on the trip, I felt at ease, calmed down and relaxed every time I looked out of my hotel room. The staff is worth mentioning, too. They were always super friendly and did their upmost to make my stay as relaxing as possible. If you have the money, I’d also definitely check out the hotels own restaurant in the seaside building. It is quite pricey, but you’ll be gifted with truly wonderful food, an exceptional wine card, great cocktails and a truly stunning view over the lake.

The only thing that I really didn’t like during my stay at the hotel was the breakfast. Although the buffet had a lot to offer at a first glance, I felt limited in choices, especially when not wanting to eat eggs every morning. In addition to that, none of the egg meals provided at breakfast tasted good, sadly. But that is about the only negative thing about my stay!

The swimming pool was great, but you are not encouraged to shower before swimming. That seems unhygienic. The wardrobes do not have showers, and the only shower is in the pool area itself. You don't feel like taking off yoyr clothes and showering properly in plain sight. I saw people going directly into the pool without showering at all. If the wardrobes had showers, it would have been great. Or at least some signs should have been put up telling people to shower in their rooms before entering the pool.

The hotel is beautifully situated on the coast in a quiet part of Helsinki. The restaurant has a wonderful view on the sea. It is really worth a visit, not only for the excellent food and wine, but also for the staff. Our room was very spacious, quiet and had everything one can think of. City centre is easy ascessable with tramline 4, but don't forget to buy a dayticket at the R'kioski before you make use of public transport.

Like so many other hotels there is little space at the hotel entrance to park your car while you register at the reception.

The reception staff were brilliant. The view from the room in the original building was beautiful, Breakfast was excellent. Kalastajatorppa is my favourite hotel in Helsinki.

This was a nostalgia visit because I stayed here in the seventies and eighties (although I have also stayed here a few times later than that). I miss the White Room and the Red Room. Room 322 in the original building is showing its age (a piece of wooden flooring kept dislodging and there were some quite deep scratches on furniture).

Rooms are modern and plenty of space. Swimming pool and sauna was great with towels provided. Breakfast buffet has plenty of options although abit expensive. Location is perfect for visiting Senete square cathedral and christmas market.

We stayed there for christmas and unfortunatly we did not eat any of the food that was offered in the restaurant on christmas day as it was a buffet of local Finnish foods. There was a great choice of food but not good for what my family and I would eat being Irish.
