this is an incredibly well thought out hotel in sense of concept and design. i have never stayed at a hotel where there is a proper common kitchen and where you can do your laundry yourself for free and not have it sent out at a high price tag. THere is also a bar, and restaurant so you can choose. I like the mini bar in the room and coffee in the room, a lot of hotels do not include this as many want you to buy it from the hotel, i like the music in the hallways and stairwells. there is also a sauna and gym. every staff member and housekeeping are friendly - i do not find this many friendly staff at most places i stay. The neighborhood is full of music studios , recording studios, creative spaces, mtv cool bars... lidl is 2 mins away, the tram is in front to take you anywhere you need to go . i also repect that there is a person at the desk 24 hours a day and you can check in anytime and not this self check in or no one working at night nonsense. the beds are extremely comfortable and proper mattresses. it is a hotel that makes sense and is perfect for any creative , artist, designer, musician or folks here to go out to the cool neighborhood bars and music scene

Very pleasant staff who also upgraded me to a better room free of charge. The room is really spacious, with everything you need, the design is sleek and modern, but with respect to the historical building it's located in. Room was also very warm and had a nice homely feel. Breakfast didn't have a lot of options, and no hot dishes, but everything was tasty. The hotel is located a bit far from the city center, but a very convenient tram runs just in front of the hotel an it takes 15-20 mins to get to the most important sites.

Only a couple of downsides: 1) The shower area isn't separated from the rest of the bathroom, and tend to get flooded, so it's not possible to use regular soft slippers or put a towel - you have to wear rubber flip-flops 2) There wasn't a lot of storage space in the room, just some hangers

The room was very spacious. The hotel and surrounding area are pretty quiet in the evening, I didn't hear any loud noise that would disturb my sleep. The sauna in the hotel is excellent. Although it is not very close to central railway station, but very close to Pasila station and the bus and tram stop are right in front of the hotel, only 1-2 minute walking. The staffs were very nice and friendly. Couldn't say much more on how much of pleasure to stay here.

The room feels a bit cold for me personally, need a second blanket. Otherwise, everything else was just excellent.

I travel a lot for work and I don't usually bother with leaving reviews but I have to this time. The hotel is exceptional. The rooms are nice, spacious, clean and modern. The bathrooms are small but they are clean and modern too. This hotel is a perfect place to stay for a work tri due to fantastic breakfast (one of the best I've had in a hotel), free sauna, gym and many places nearby for dinner - including the restaurant in the hotel. Staff has always been smiling and friendly and in overall I could not enjoy the stay more.

The main entry to the hotel requires you to walk up stairs which may be an issue for those with mobility problems or very heavy suitcases, but perhaps there is another, accessible entrance that I just didn't know about as I didn't need it.

Our stay at this hotel was a good experience! The location has easy access to public transportation, which makes getting around the city a breeze. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived, always ready to help. The room itself was clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the unique mattress—it was very cozy, adding a nice touch to an already relaxing atmosphere. After a long day of sightseeing, it was the perfect place to unwind. One of the highlights was the breakfast at the hotel's restaurant, Angelina. There was a great variety of options, including some delicious Finnish goodies that added a bit of local flavor to the meal.

The hotel is within walking distance of the Kallio Church and is in a quieter part of town which is perfect for sleeping after a long day of either sightseeing or doing business. The hotel itself is trendy, new, and has comfortable beds and furniture. The property also has a nice sauna on site, gym facilities, and a wonderful breakfast buffet in the morning that includes several Finnish dishes that are freshly made.

No dislikes - the staff was friendly, the breakfast was filling, and the service was attentive and excellent. Thank you!

made my time in Helsinki i willl be back in the spring for sun and more making music but this place made my time..its old school , classic, manners to actually refund me 2 nights i didnt ask when i had to leave early , just shows class and respect , old school and manners the manager is so so ni\ce, just making sure all is cool adn calm ... i dont want to leave too good a review becauase i need a room when i come back ha

Extremely helpful staff. Very well equipt kitchen (however for some reason i only found one fork). Good internet connection (although a public network). I found bed very comfortable with a great choice of pillows.

Minor stuff: didn't find more than one fork. Shower didn't have curtain, therefore i had to dry off the bathroom doors and toilet itself. Wifi is public network and at this day and age, it comes with certain risks. The room had thermostat (or atleast i think it was thermostat), but you couldn't regulate temperature and vents seemed to be blowing fairly cold air.

The room was very comfortable, clean and looked quite modern. There was a minifridge and all the amenities one could ask for from a hotel. Great bonus was that you could use the sauna and gym. Even though I was exhausted so I couldn´t try them out, it definitely is a good deal in my book. Staff was friendly. Absolutely no complaints! There was even a construction site nearby, but I heard absolutely nothing, it was very quiet in the room so I could rest very well!

The only thing is that I wish the breakfast was a bit more affordable than 20 euros (I did not try it because of the price), and that I wish there were a couple more signs to lead the customers to the elevators, I kind of felt like the corridors were a little confusing so I didn´t find them right away. But that was a such a minor thing that it certainly didn´t outshine the rest of the good service and condition of the hotel.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They helped me with my tram tickets and how to best get into town and to the airport. The room was quite spacious and impeccably clean. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The Folks Hotel Konepaja has the best sauna and steam bath area I have ever seen in a hotel. They provide a lot of different towels in the changing rooms as well as shampoo and soap in the showers. It really feels like you are going to a spa. I really enjoyed my stay here!
