Great location, large room wonderful breakfast, quiet during the night.

I think its the normal over there, but all doors open in to the corridor, which is a fire risk if someone blocks the door from the outside

First of all the hotel has a perfect location - very close to major turist attractions like Helsinki Cathedral, Senate Square and Market Square and even closer to the main railway station, thus, getting there from the airport is easy and convenient. The breakfast buffet was great and had a lot of options to choose from which makes it impossible (in my opinion!) for anyone to go hungry. Room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was clean, the staff more than helpful. I highly recommend this hotel!

Maybe it's just me but the room (especially in the mornings when the sun shined directly at my windows) was very hot and it took a while before air con helped. I stayed on 8 floor.

Accommodation of reasonable quality in central Helsinki does not come cheap. Hotel Arthur combines an excellent location, five minutes' walk from the Central Station, with sound standards and more than a touch of charm. Gently old-fashioned in a positive way, offering quality where it matters in bedrooms and the dining room. The staff are exceptional: friendly, helpful and caring; they seem to enjoy working there! The breakfast offered plenty of choice. Always a good sign: plenty of Finns staying there, as well as the international travellers. We were sorry to have to leave Helsinki and Arthur.

No plug in the shower room basin? It is surely now an international standard fitting.

Copied from my TripAdvisor review: We spent two nights at the Hotel Arthur for our first visit to Helsinki since 2018, when we stayed at the same hotel. Not much has changed! Our room was small but there was space for luggage and the beds were comfortable. The lighting was good, there were enough electric sockets and the shower worked well. Breakfast was a fine buffet. Staff were polite and helpful. The location could not be bettered. It is a short walk from the railway station and the cathedral and harbour in the other. Helsinki is an expensive city but the price of the Hotel Arthur is reasonable by Finnish standards.

We loved everything about the hotel: the location, the room, and the breakfast. The hotel is just a stone's throw from Helsinki Central Station, within walking distance of the port, and the tram system is fantastic. It's very easy to get there, as well as to head out and explore the main tourist areas. The room was wonderful, spacious, with super comfortable beds, and it even had an electric kettle for making tea or coffee. The breakfast was perfect, with plenty of options. They also have a little corner with a variety of breads and gluten-free choices. Simply perfect.

Nothing to complain about it

The location of the hotel is good so every main attraction is easily reachable by foot. The railway station is also very close, which is convenient. The breakfast is diverse in both sweet and savoury options. You can even find some typical Finnish pastries to try. The room was not too big, but it was very clean. You can leave your luggage in a locked room if you have a later flight and want to explore the city without carrying your suitcase everywhere. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a bit of comfort for a good price, this hotel is the place.

The app used for check in had no availability on the sauna so we were pleasantly surprised to be able to book a private sauna (5th floor) for Friday night during the arrival Breakfast is a really nice, wide variety to choose from. Also gluten free options Had a good night's sleep, beds (twin) were comfortable Location is great near the railway station Staff really friendly & helpful Communication ahead of arrival is great & timely

Friendly helpful staff. Clean room, little on the small side but fine for one person. Twin beds in the room which were fine. Kettle and tea and coffee in room, no proper cup but I had a travel mug so that was okay.Fridge/mini bar which was useful. Nice shower room. Great location, 5 minutes to the central station and 10/15 minutes to the sights. Park opposite which was a nice place to sit. Great value for money and I would definitely consider staying there again if I visited Helsinki.

AMAZING breakfast. Very good location, close to the train station and the city centre. Warm room, perfect for the very cold winter days.

Quite old-fashioned... My room was OK (especially for 2 nights), but overall the hotel would benefit from a renovation IMHO.

Excellent location, very close to the train station and the citi centre. The hotel has lunch service, but there is also a supermarket very close to the hotel. Nice breakfast and served for several hours. The staff is very friendly, positive, and helpful The rooms were recently renovated and are very well organized. The bed is comfortable and warm. The room is very well isolated, and there is no noise from the outside.

The hotel has the policy of cleaning the room only once every 3 nights. I stayed for 4 nights and the room was never cleaned, not even the garbage was collected.
