Excellent buffet breakfast Very comfortable beds.

Dreadful entry into the hotel. As an elderly guest I struggled with my suitcase as there is NO ramp to wheel the case inside and I had to carry it up the entry steps. There is also NO bellboy to assist with luggage.

A fantastic hotel, no doubt on that. Located "inside" Helsinki's main train station (it used to be part of it) it is very accessible and easily reachable. The inside of the hotel is epic, filled with spectacular elegant corridors that makes you want to investigate every corner. The room is comfortable and elegant, with a minibar and a TV. The breakfast is astonishing, filled with plenty of warm and cold options for absolutely everyone's taste. Juices, fruits, eggs, bread, coffee, smoothies, musli, etc, it has everything. I didn't use the Sauna nor visited the bar to give an honest review about it.

The breakfast buffet and Christmas Eve buffet were next level. I would have booked Scandic for all of our stays, but had no idea about how amazing the breakfasts or buffets were. The sauna, relaxation areas and gym was also spectacular. I am not sure why saunas and relaxation spaces aren't all day? The front desk staff were knowledgeable and very helpful, keeping our luggage with no problem. The location could not be easier to get to/from the airport as well as all the neighborhoods, even though Helsinki is incredibly walkable.

More games for playing in the lobby would be preferable, longer sauna / relaxation area hours, and potentially a kids 'activity kit' upon check in. We booked this hotel because it was good for families, but there wasn't anything special for kids stays.

The staff were very friendly, rooms were spacious and well equipped as well as nicely decorated. There was a good selection at breakfast. The whole hotel had been beautifully restored and there was information available about its past and a short walking tour. The location was excellent for seeing the city. The lounge area was well used and had a chess board in high demand. The gym was well equipped and spacious with good lighting, quiet music and space for yoga etc. Free lockers were available for small bags in the left luggage area whilst suitcases could also be left.

One of our 2 rooms was a bit too warm for sleeping.

Location next to railway terminus so good for transfer from airport. Down side our room overlooked the train tracks, however great for train spotters!! Interior of the hotel unique and very interesting - a history lesson in itself! Excellent soundproofing. Despite being so close to the station no noise could be heard from station or from adjoining rooms!

Breakfast was good but a little chaotic. Tables were in various rooms with no fixed dining area.The restaurant was closed when we stayed therefore food choice was limited in the evenings. Also quite expensive.

Excellent location right next to the train station, bus station and tram stops - very handy to get to and from the airport or the tram to the ferry terminal to Tallinn. Excellent breakfast buffet with a wide choice and long opening hours. Nice cocktails and relaxed bar and lounge areas. Reception staff are friendly and very helpful with restaurant suggestions and things to do and see. Cosy room, very comfy bed - I found it very hard to get out of it in the morning!! Kettle available on request. Also a good well equipped gym, open 24 hours. I had a fantastic stay.

There was nothing I didn't like. The only suggestion I can think of for improvement would be to have a coffee machine in the bedrooms.

Location is next to train station. Walking distance after get off airport train. Our 2 nights stay had 2 days breakfast, it was very good. Love the juices, wide variety with lots of lactose free, gluten free, vegan options. One of the best we had. Need to book your breakfast time though. Didn't like that the cupboard to keep our coats was small. Hang our 2 coats & that's it. Hooks in bathroom was out we couldn't find enough to hang our towels to dry. Basic toiletries like hand soap, 2in1 shampoo & body gel, no hair conditioner. The rest of room was good, bed is soft, sheets clean, theres space for my one luggage to open up. Maybe only 1 TV channel has English. Pre-request for kettle & extra pillow which they remember. We arrive at 9am. They were kind to inform we can have early checkin at 10am with an extra charge of Euro 20 dollars. I noticed the luggage storage room is accessible to anyone. Felt like anyone can go in to take anything out, but I maybe wrong about it. We didn't have time to check on sauna room.

The hotel is big, and there are plenty of spaces to relax or sit during breakfast hours. The staff was amazing. There's a 24/7 reception that attends to all your needs, and they are kind. Breakfast is great, there are a lot of options to choose from, including warm food. We requested early breakfast when we had tours, and they allowed us. The sauna is available until 10 PM, which is fantastic! The hotel's location is ideal, as it is close to museums, shopping centers, and restaurants. Additionally, public transportation is easily accessible, and the city center is within walking distance.

Nothing really, just the room temperature was a little cold for us.

Fantastic location next to railway station in renovated historic railway administration building. Rooms can be some walk from entrance & reception due to size of building. Lots of business travellers attending meetings in conference rooms. Loved the elimination of single use hotel items (bathroom & breakfast). Breakfast appeared was always busy no matter what time we attended. Not all breakfast choices were refreshed immediately if emptied and some not replenished at all. Paying for coffee in lounge/reception that could have been complimentary for guests?

Absolute gem in Helsinki! We arrived from the airport on the train and it was a 2 minute walk to the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful - even when our son was sick in the middle of the night. The beds were comfortable and the room was large. Towels were soft which is so rare in large hotels. The buffet breakfast in the morning was delicious with lots of options (local cuisine and otherwise) including options for those with food intolerances. They have the option for luggage storage in a locked room which was very convenient since we had a night train and needed somewhere to store our luggage during the day. The location is exceptional. Very close to everything downtown, well within walking distance of all major sites and of course the main train station. I can't recommend this hotel enough even if it's just a short stay.
