The breakfast was fine. The kitchen staff as well as those at the front desk are hospitable. They are friendly and cheerful even though they had to answer queries from several guests. There were several guests checking-in and checking-out concurrently, yet, they wore a cheerful disposition. One reception staff, Ms Anita Huotari, the service manager, assisted me in room matters - she went out all the way to make my stay comfortable. Kudos to her! The location is commendable - central to Market Square, several cafes and shopping centers. Kamppi Bus station is a walking distance from the hotel.

The lifts are rather small and old. Sometimes, when you tap your card to the level of your room, the lift door closes, but the lift fails to move. This can be stressful and you're wondering what happened. Then after a short while, the lift moves. Out of the 9 days, I stayed, my room was only cleaned once when I requested for it.

The hotel is in the heart of the city, and the restaurant is popular for lunch and dinner. The breakfast features many items from small farms or dishes special to Finland. There was no smoked fish (lox) but several kinds of meats and cold cuts (from my memory), yogurts berries, breads, etc etc etc. Of course the staff spoke excellent English. they had Helsinki newspapers available, but not Huvudstadsblated, which is what I read when there.

Maybe no one uses the house phone any more, but the instructions on how to contact the front desk were very obscure, and the staff on duty were not able to tell me how to reach them in an emergency stiuation. It turns out you mush a specail button on the phone, but were I to wake up. in the middle of the night, I would have no idea of how to contact them.

The location is ideal. We walked everywhere and took the tram, stop is a 2 minute walk from the hotel, to the amusement park. We booked a small suite and a larger twin room. The suite had a sitting area with a sofa and 2 comfy seats and its own private sauna- totally worth it. Water pressure in the shower was very good with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good. On Sunday they offer smoked salmon, which was very good. The overnight oats were also a big hit. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I wish there had been a suite with twin beds. I would have gladly upgraded our twin room to a twin suite. The twin room I booked for my kids was the one that accommodated up to 3 people but it felt a bit cramped. There was an odor in the suite bathroom. It might have been coming from the floor drain. It wasn’t worth complaining about.

Ideal location for wandering all over Helsinki. Quiet, as it's on a pedestrian street. Great restaurant and big gym with lots of equipment. Large, clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing breakfast buffet!

The only thing that was less than ideal was the room temperature. We found it warm and stuffy. As you can't really adjust the temperature or fan, nor can you open the windows, there's really not much you can do. This made for challenging sleeping. Note that this was the ONLY thing we struggled with in this, otherwise, lovely and friendly hotel.

There was so much to like, the room was spacious and bright. The lights had different settings for night lights where the lights were not as bright if you needed a light on in the middle of the night. I was able to cast my phone to the TV I wish more hotels had this feature. The bed was so comfortable and I had a fantastic nights sleep. The bathroom was a decent size with ritual shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel offered a great selection for Breakfast that was included in the price along with several great vegan options including oat milk, vegan cheese and vegan yoghurts. I ordered some food for the restaurant in the evening and the food again was very enjoyable. When we return to Helsinki we will always use this hotel going forward.

There was nothing that we didn't like or that could be improved our stay was very enjoyable.

Fabulous place in the heart of old town. Easy access to metro, trains, busses, ferry. Great staff!, they were so helpful with our questions! The sauna was great too, clean, with showers and towels. The restaurant had nice options and the bar made a nice end of day respite. Breakfast was excellent! So many choices, and even had vegan, gluten free, smoothies, overnight oats, fruits, salads, many bread choices, and regular eggs, bacon, pancakes. Lots of coffee and tea options, but the decaf is instant. Fabulous stay!

We had to request room cleaning ourselves, which we were not informed about. Instead, we had to read it on a small note in the elevator. We had booked a regular triple room, but the third bed was actually a sofa. We asked for an extra mattress, but there wasn’t one available — they only gave us a small duvet. We also had to ask for room cleaning, and the staff was rude, especially on Sunday when the hotel was crowded, and we were rushed to finish breakfast very quickly.

Breakfast is good. We have a early morning trip which we need to left the hotel before the breakfast time in one day of our stay. When front staff know that, she actively recommend to pick a breakfast for us to take away at this morning. We really appreciate her kind and sincere actions.

The toilet in the room was too small which lead us felt too crowed when using the toilet. And not too much space for placing our stuff like hair gel, make-up remover, and so on. We need to take out from the washroom and bring in to the washroom again when we need to use these.

The staff was so kind!!! The breakfast spread was amazing and something for everyone. The location is within walking distance to the train station and in the middle of so many attractions and restaurants/bars. The room was super clean and a decent size. There are elevators/ramps so very accessible for nearly anyone. I will definitely stay again if I find myself in Helsinki in the future!

Upon arrival I was greeted by the lovely Pinja. I did request a quiet room with my booking, as I was in town for the Helsinki Half Marathon. I did double check this and was given a room change to the 7th floor away from the lifts and the bar beneath the hotel. I slept peacefully. The room was on the smaller side, but perfect for me. Quiet air con, black out curtains and tea and coffee facilities. The location was perfect, a short walk from the main train station and right near cafes & bars and the harbour for sightseeing etc. Breakfast was on the busier side but it's the best selection ive seen at any hotel in a while. The fruit and smoothies were amazing (you can order omelettes and avocado on toast, but these incur an additional charge) Overall I had a brilliant stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Another shout out to Pinja, she is a real credit to the hotel and a fabulous reception, thanks for the chat.

I found the Safe to be on the smaller side, I couldn't fit my laptop in there.
