The location is good about 10-15 mins enjoyable walk to city center. My room and the bathroom were spacious and clean. Bathroom has modern facilities with good size shower. The bed was very comfy and clean. AC was working perfectly. Wi-fi was strong but had some disconnections in my room. Breakfast was excellent with lots of selections and it was tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful. Check in is at 4 pm, I never experienced in any hotel, it’s too late and if you arrive earlier hotel charges you 20 euro. It was also good to have kettle in room or at least hot water be available free of charge. Snacks, tee and drinks are available to buy at reception.

During this European trip we used 3 Scandic Hotels. You just cannot go wrong. When we arrived at the hotel the reception make you feel very welcome. The help you with all the questions and direct to places you like to visit. Santa clause village is only 10 minutes away by car. The breakfast was very good and thanks to the hard working and efficient staff . A lot of choice to choose from. The room was very nice with desk and comfortable chair. The bathroom was very nice. In front of the hotel is a big shopping Mall just across the road.. The restaurant at the hotel was great and also plenty of restaurants near by.

No Fridge. Would have liked to stay more then 4 nights. Rest was just great..

Breakfast spread was excellent, with plenty of healthy options. their innovative idea of reducing wastage of food (by stating how much wastage per person in gms on previous day at the entrance of breakfast area makes you well aware of their sustainable approach. most of the touristic attractions including south harbor are at a walking distance of 20-30mins. metro station is just next to the place. we didnt face any issue in late night checkin 0200 hrs. overall, a very good experience.

The central location and a great panoramic view over Hakaniemi is an unquestionable plus of the hotel. It is located within a few steps from the metro station that makes it possible to reach any corner of Helsinki very quickly. There's sauna, sadly open only for 3 hours a day. Breakfast is amazing: local snacks, berries, sweets and vegan treats. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is pretty small and crowded, during breakfast hours on the weekends it was impossible to find a free table. Cleanliness could be improved: I found a lock of women hair between my freshly changed towels, sheets had yellow stains. Bed was super soft and uncomfortable. There could have been a kettle in the room - otherwise one has to pay extra for tea or coffee from the front desk.

Hotel has a very good place, near metro station, the room was comfy and clean. Bed had a very good mattress. The Bathroom had all amenities towels and everything you need, even a small hand held shower near toilet that was new for us. The room had central AC but I think it wasn't doing nothing we raised the temperature but there was constant 20 degrees Celsius which was ok. The hotel had decent selection of breakfast food, but the space to sit was always full, they have very limited space in the breakfast. The hotel over all was great and we would come back again when we will visit Helsinki.

The bad had only one quilt, we don't like to share, but we manged to survive with only 1.

The location is fantastic, it took, like, 20 minutes or something to walk from the Central Train Station, and the metro/tram/bus stops are literally in front of the hotel, so you'd have no logistics problems whatsoever. It's an easy and nice walk to the city center, and a few delicious restaurants are in the neighbourhood, so again, the location is just great. And they have saunas in the hotel! The room was very comfy and clean. And even though the windows faced the street, there was very little street noise which is a huge boon to me--I didn't even use my earplugs at all. The breakfast was fantastic; so unbelievably good and delicious, and the cinnamon rolls were the best-best-best ever! The stuff was helpful and friendly--many thanks to the lovely ladies at the reception! You rock! P.S. If you stay for a few days in the city and would like to use public transport, definitely get a Helsinki City Card, it'll save you a lot of headache (you can purchase it at the reception).

Fantastic location within walking distance of the city centre, with Metro, Tram and Bus stops are right outside the hotel if required or if you are going further afield. Airport '600' bus stops right outside hotel, which is very handy. This hotel also has one of the best breakfast selections I have ever experienced with many hot and cold options. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

Breakfast gets very busy if the hotel is full and is as well managed as can be in the circumstances. Shower temperature noticeably fluctuated a bit during my stay, but not uncomfortably so.

Good location, metro, bus and tram stop in front of the hotel. Walking distance (about 15 - 20 minutes) to the cathedral and another 5 min to the port. Clean, simple rooms. Good breakfast.

Information at the reception desk that I should have breakfast as soon as possible as it gets crowded at the later hour. When you are on holidays and you're in a different time zone you really don't want to put the alarm on to get to breakfast early. I did get to breakfast around 9 and it was really crowded but did manage to get a table and there was enough food and have no complains about it. Maybe it would be less crowded if they wouldn't tell people to come early, some like to be early, some to be late. I know I'd go a bit later.

Rooms need some deep cleaning or renovation. My window curtains were stained. Bathroom had broken pieces of ceramics (toilet, walls) Breakfast is good but super confusing. Maybe the room is too small for the size of the hotel, but everyday was a struggle to have a table (and I was alone). Also, I tried multiple hours (7.00 or 9.30) and the caos was the same

The best things were the staff and the breakfast. The staff was very helpful and understanding in everything (we had a bit of issues with check in, but the staff solved everything perfectly). The breakfast had lots of choices for every taste and was definitely worth the price. The location of the hotel was good, but there's street renovation going on at the moment, so it's pretty noisy.

The hotel needs some upgrading. The room was very hot since the morning (sun shining directly to the windows). The hairdryer didn't work (although to the hotel's credit, they provided another one). It took forever for the hot water to come in the shower in the morning, so I'm not sure how ecological was my shower where half of the time I was just waiting for the water.
