Nice room, very clean and a few steps from public transport. Very easy to get downtown Helsinki! Felt comfortable and safe here. The beds are really cozy. Access to hot water, microwave and laundry (paid) in lobby. Everything worked really smoothly with electronic check-in, and the hosts were very responsive when I had questions. The price for quality was good for Helsinki especially! You don't have a fridge, tv or phone in your room but it's not really needed. There's a fridge in the lobby if needed.

There is a lot of construction in Kallio currently and they start early. Not the hotels fault but it's a slight inconvenience.

Amazing location for the hotel, right next to the Hakaniemi metro station, 20 min walking distance from the Helsinki Central Railstation and 10 min walking to lively Kallio area. During the time of our visit the hotel had just opened and we appreciated the cleaniness and freshness of the room. The check-in and check-out process was very smooth and quick, we didn't need assistance from a staff member. It was also possible to leave the luggage at the premises, but I wasn't sure if it was at an extra cost, so we didn't try that option. The price was the best I found on Booking for those dates in relation to the location and quality of the stay, so I hope they won't increase the prices later on as affordable short-stay accommodation is really needed in the center of Helsinki!

The hotel had just opened and there were still some construction works going on. Luckily, it didn't affect our stay, but it could possibly bother someone who wants to sleep in late. I was also not a big fan of the floor material, but maybe it was still being fixed or maybe it's just my personal taste. Overall, these a bit less good sides weren't that important.

It’s easy to find and accessible to public transport. It’s very close to grocery too so it’s easy for me to stop by and buy things I need. The room is very clean and enough for what I need. I borrowed a kettle at the reception so I can make some tea when I get back from a day’s stroll. My check out time is very early in the morning so I asked the service resto if they could arrange something for me before I leave. The lady said not possible but I could take whatever I need to take with me for next day. She gave me a take away bag to put a selection of bread, croissants & flat bread which were very useful in the early morning trip. I stayed in other Citybox property in Europe and this one in Helsinki didn’t disappoint.

None that I could think of.

Modern and bright. Alot of thought gone into helping guests have a lovely and relaxed trip. I liked how they have tea and coffee making facilities in the lobby, along with crockery and utensils and a toaster so you can make your own food if you wish. Fridges were also provided in the lobby, you just had to put your name on your food. There was a tv , ping pong table and a few games to play too. If you need to grab a few snacks or essentials there was a vending machine to use. Just brilliant . P.s brilliant links for public transport and many , restaurants and supermarkets if needed

Nothing to dislike really, maybe a better quality shampoo and shower gel. It was the same in all dispensers for washing hands , body and hair. If you was to put that on long hair it would be tangled up lol

Location next to the metro The nice staff Good value for money. Room was nice though basic ( but this is the concept )

- the lack of refrigerator in the room . There is one in the common living room, but you can’t leave there beer or any alcohol. As this is not a “kids” hotel , but only adults are checked in and your things are closed in a plastic bag in the refrigarator I would remove that request as if parents have kids it is their responsibilities to make sure their kid is not going around in the hotel opening closed plastic bags in the fridge. That’s not a good reason not to allow beers in the fridge. Except from that everything is perfect.

The hotel is modern and futuristic, just like Helsinki itself. There is no need for staff, as there are lots of self check-in /check-out machines and nobody is disturbing with the room cleaning. So both the check-in and check-out went smoothly, not having to wait in line for your turn. Check-in was possible after 3pm, but until then we could leave our luggage in a safe there. Check-out was at 12, so plenty of time to gather your stuff. Our room was big enough, with an even bigger double bed, perfect for a comfortable sleep. Pillows and the duvet were excellent too. It was possible to set the room temperature easily from a touchscreen device. The bathroom is well equipped with towels, toiletries and a hair dryer. The shower is very spacious and has both a hand and a rain shower. Everything was sparkling clean and convenient. The location is also good, not in the central area but within 2 mins walking to the metro with good connections. We didn't try the morning buffet, but I am sure it must be delicious. Especially that in the city center it is very hard to find a place where to not stay in a line to eat and also for a reasonable price, so I would really recommend getting the hotel breakfast instead. Overall, a fair priced hotel from which you can get a lot!

The windows could not be opened to ventilate the room. The shower was quite confusing by switching the wrong direction of the tap and enabling the rain shower to fall in your head by mistake. And the hair drier has also a very bad design and placement as you can not move or keep it to blow in a suitable direction, so it takes forever to dry your hair.

The location was great in a trendy area of central Helsinki, close walk to good cafes and restaurants. Very close to the metro station which was two stops into the central station but also the location is a very easy walk to the central station too. An easy walk into the main centre of Helsinki (or a short tram or train ride) and very close to one of the indoor market halls. Easy self check in and luggage storage option. Clean and safe. Good communal kitchen and a laundry (which I didn't use but costs about €4.50 per load. Due to the style of the hotel their was very little interaction with any staff, though the minimal amount was good. Comfortable bed and good shower.

Smooth check in and check out, facilities such as pantry and laundry room were all easily accessible. Comfortable rooms and beds. Location was great and well worth the price too. Also had great food options nearby though the breakfast at the cafe was too expensive for the spread provided. Will definitely stay again.

The single beds for the twin rooms were too small for adults. The mixer for our bathroom in the double room didn't work to give hot water. When informed, the staff took too long at such a late time to come take a look so we had to get to the problem the next day, but that meant an uncomfortable night.

Great services like free luggage storage (you can keep your suitcase there before check-in and after check-out, just not supervised ) and kitchen to make your own breakfast/light meal (with plates, cutlery, microwaves, fridges, toaster, kettles and mugs/cups) The coffe machine in the kitchen makes great coffee (for a normal price) Some board games available too if you are bored Check-in and check-out are very straightforward and easy, the big screens are easy to comprehend and use In addiction, there's a ping pong in the hall and some computers

(We got a room with bathroom for disabled people) No shower curtain, so the whole bathroom floor gets wet (you can ask for more towels tho)

Comfortable bed, modern design, quiet and clean room. Interesting location in a nice neighbourhood, near public transport, supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants.

Not exactly our dislikes... but good to be aware of: We like the neighbourhood - but it is a good 15-30 min walk from most sights. The hotel concept is "bare bones." No tv, kettle, coffee maker, etc, in the room. However, the common area has a TV and a kitchen available for use. Breakfast served in a cafe next door. Check in and out is self service- i didn't interact or see any staff during our stay (I think they are available in an office if required)
