Töölö Towers is situated just outside the central Helsinki but within walkable distance to the City center. There are good public transport connections to many parts of the city. My little room was lovely and bed comfortable. Breakfast was variable and had enough choices for all diets. There was a communal kitchen on the floor for doing your own cooking if wanted to. I had a little fridge in my room which was good for my snacks and drinks. Personnel was very friendly and helpful.

There was a lot of dust under the bed (I dropped something and had to move the bed) though otherwise the room was clean.

Not far from the centre, calm location, enough parking space on the street (free of charge in the evening and the entire weekend Saturday/Sunday). It's a former hospital with 1950s design furniture, Scandinavian minimalistic, spacy. Our studio had a kitchen as well. One could easily stay longer. Free laundry room downstairs. Incredible free buffet breakfast. Small separate saunas for men and women, free to use every evening. Friendly staff. Good price.

WLAN not very quick. Bathroom with shower curtain, but you have that everywhere in Finland.

Located in a good area on ~25 mins walk or ~ 5 mins by tram from Helsinki Railway Station. The tram stop is just on the street in front of the buildings. Easy late-self-check-in after midnight. The instructions I got were clear and punctual. The room itself was ok, with perfect Wi-Fi and heating system. Polite reception desk. Breakfast is basic but offers quality products. Free sauna. A leisure area with some decent view on the top floor.

I believe, the housekeeping staff might be more thorough in the cleaning process of the rooms.

I liked everything about my stay. The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, and the breakfast was varied and delicious (however, the buffet is served in a bit of a cramped place). I also enjoyed a session in the small sauna room, located on one of the upper floors. There is an adjacent terrace room with a beautiful view. The hotel is a 15-minute walk away from where the city center begins. There is a tramway station (Apollokatu/Apollogatan) next to the hotel if you prefer public transport. It was easy to buy a ticket with Helsinki's public transport "HSL app".

The property seems to be affiliated with an association called Unihome Oy. Therefore, the hotel has a bit of the vibe of a university student housing. So there are many regulations (such as not having loud parties after 10 PM) that you will likely not break as an elderly traveler anyway ;) The rooms are equipped with prefabricated bathrooms. Mine was very clean, but it may still not be to everyone's liking. There is some sort of air exchange device on top of the adjacent flat building that holds the waste containers. That device goes off every five minutes with some strange noise. I didn't mind, but it could be a bit annoying if you are sensitive to noise, but still want to sleep with the window open.

Excellent option for Helsinki. It’s in a great location - walking distance to the centre and in a nice district with shops and restaurants. This is university accommodation, so functional rather than luxurious, but very pleasant and clean and quite stylish. We got a one bedroom apartment and it was really spacious with a good kitchen. A buffet-style was included and that had a good range of options - fresh fruit, cereals, salads, cheese etc plus various meats. We only had a one night stay as we were flying home the next day but it would be particularly good for a stay of a few days because of the kitchen.

It's in a very nice area with a frequent tram service a couple of minutes walk away. The breakfast was good with a different selection of hot foods each day.

The doors to the building, to corridors and the rooms are all really heavy and slam shut. I had the main entrance door under my room and the door to the corridor next to it, so had constantly slamming doors keeping me awake. They ran out of English tea bags after the 4th day and as I don't drink coffee meant no hot drink with my breakfast.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay here. I booked a single room and it had everything I needed. On the floor, there was a communal kitchen I could use. The included breakfast was very diverse and yummy. The location was great for me. I could walk to the city centre from here and everything was in easy reach. Also if I didn't feel like the city, Sibelius Park is in walking distance too to chill out. I also liked the A tower's roof terrace to get an overview of the area. I will definitely come back!

There was nothing I didn't like.

Stayed with my parents and this worked out to be much nicer than two separate hotel rooms (we had an apartment with two bedrooms). We were able to share the living room and kitchen etc which was lovely. Very close to a tram stop and a well stocked supermarket as well as the sea (and a beach!). Yes it’s no frills, but that is reflected in the price. Place has everything you need and the kitchen is well stocked. Breakfast was brilliant and fills you up for the morning.

It isn’t bang in the centre and it is no frills. We did not mind but reading some other reviews it appears people did not take note.

I booked twice at Töölö, first a room for myself and then a an apartment to share with my partner who arrived later. Early check-in was possible both times, and this was super helpful as I could seamlessly transfer from the small room to the new room. The bed was comfortable, lots of storage and a kitchenette with what you need. Unlike the small single-bed room I first had, this one was not stuffy and felt well ventilated. Didn't use the Sauna in this tower (B tower) but went to take a look. You walk briefly through a super well-lit basement-area to get to some nice seating with a high window and then to the saunas, so there's light and it's quite airy for something in a "basement". They are much bigger than the saunas in the A tower, you could easily fit 15+ people in the sauna.

The heating stopped working in the sofa-kitchenette room, but that was ok, the heater in our room sufficed. The heating-element dryer thing in the bathroom didn't work, but that wasn't crucial The layout of the storage was a bit odd, compared to the single-room.

It is a great place to stay for those who do not require anything fancy, just a clean and safe space to sleep and keep their belongings during their stay in Helsinki. I traveled to Helsinki with a clear plan to see as much as the city as possible, so I would leave the hotel in the morning and only return at night. It was so great to have the hotel so close to the city center and with such an easy access to public transportation. The breakfast was rather standard, but tasty and had quite a bit of variety.

There was, at times, some sewage smell coming from the bathroom.
