I loved this hotel. Staff was always friendly and accommodating. I had my touring bicycle and they let me keep it in the luggage room. The sauna gives one the opportunity to experience Finns enjoying an important part of their culture. It’s lovely to take a plunge in the pool after (It’s big enough to do laps.). The breakfast provided ample variety and a good start to the day. The location is fantastic. Perhaps request a room with a view of the Natural History Museum —we loved it.

Ha. The first time I stayed I was on the “Summer” themed 5th Floor. There was a big depiction of a mosquito. I had just been battling them on my bicycle tour and wasn’t fond of a blow-up hovering over. But hey, Finns have a different perspective and I appreciate that!

A very good location - very close to the bus station, fairly close to the train station. Lots of restaurants and shops around. Kiasma is just 2 min away. The room is small but ok for 2 people. Very nice mattresses and pillows. Pleasant staff at the reception and in the breakfast hall. Breakfast is good but it takes some time to find things you need. Enjoyed the swimming pool - it is really a great asset. Bathing suits can be borrowed at the reception.

The reception is equipped with an electronic queuing system, which hides the number of people waiting to be served. So you never know how much time you need to wait to be checked in or to have an issue resolved. Sometimes one waits a long time. Also, every little query requires a long wait since there isn't anyone you can just ask. Luckily, there is an automatic check-out so no need to wait.

I chose Hotell Presidentii for nostalgic reasons. I stayed here many weekends around 1984 - 85 with various group trips. Normal good standard in all rooms, pleasant staff, but it is starting to seem a bit old-fashioned. Smart to introduce a Queue number to the reception, but does not work well if you only have a short question. The system is good, but should be staffed at peak times with a person who can deal with simple questions. Easy to get to the centre of Helsinki, either on foot or by tram. Buy a 24-hour card for local transport. We recommend buying zone ABC if you arrive in Helsinki by plane. Would I recommend you to stay here? Yes, I will !

All hotels claim to have a high environmental profile, so does Hotell Presidentii. When we checked in, we were asked if we wanted the room cleaned every day, or if it was sufficient once a week. 3rd day, Then I have to say that boiling 100 eggs for breakfast is nonsense and shows that the environmental aspect only applies to the rooms, not what is served. The result is that mostly everyone gets cold eggs for breakfast. This is definitely a waste of resources! Compared to changing the towels in the rooms, this is possibly a trifle, but if you want to profile yourself on the environmental argument, then you have to think 100% about what is done in the whole house!

Very well looking hotel, in the almost center of Helsinki, only by walking distance from the Railway Station. Hotel looks very good, reception with luggage storage and also snack-bar.

There are a lot of rooms, despite that you cannot hear other people walking on the floors, but when they are around your room, it is noticeable. The beds are too comfy (too soft) for us, but this can be perfect for somebody.

Central location, not far from the train station and restaurants around. The room was well sound-proofed and the curtains were thick enough to block the summer nightlight. Breakfast offered a vast choice between sweet and savory options, and the lunch service had a fair offer.

Everything was overall good. Cleaning of the bathroom could have been a bit better. The view from the room wasn't great despite being on the 8ht floor.

Location was very good. It was easy to find and about a five minute walk from Helsinki Central Station. Most of the city was within walking distance. Staff were very helpful in assisting when I had a problem. Breakfast, while quite busy, was good.

Less busy at breakfast. I wasn't a fan of the queuing system when I checked in but this may be in part because I had been travelling all day, just wanted to get to my hotel room but there was a queue of people

Location, big breakfast selection and seating area, comfortable lobby, music in the halls outside the elevator area, nice room, good blockout curtains, sauna and pool.

Sauna and pool have limited opening hours and with so many hotel guests it often got crowded. Make pancakes for everyone, not just children.

We had requested our room in the theme of tranquility, because we love calm colours in the interior. Our request was fulfilled. We loved our room! Good breakfast! Great lobby area with comfortable couches, where we had to spend some time while waiting. The whole hotel is renovated from inside. We had a great time here. Thank you!

The pillows were a little high for me, so I had a little bit neck pain in the morning

I like everything about this hotel except of their breakfasts. Bfasts there are too simple and sometimes even not tasty and definitely do not match their price level. This time scrambled egg omelet was bitter. Food was slightly warm, so when at the table you had to eat rather cold meal already (e.g. omlet in my case)

The lady at the check-in was super nice! The room was amazing: clean and confortable. The bed was really confortable. Even if you are in the city center, you heard any noise from the street.

The breakfast: you can find a lot of choice, but it’s not so continental.
