Great location close to the city centre and airport train. Rooms were nice, clean and a good size. Friendly and helpful staff.

Slow check in at 5pm - perhaps they could add extra staff at that time? The hotel bar was difficult to access, though we easily found other places to go. No kettle and complementary tea/coffee in the room. Maybe this is a cultural difference .

Rooms are large. Hotel is well located. Breakfast is superb. One of the best we had on our trip in Finland.

There are visible stains on the bedding, thrown and some furniture. Cleanliness was overall acceptable.

Only really minor observations: -two storage places in the room were not 100 % clean on arrival -refilling time for items empty during breakfast on weekend took a bit longer, but I guess that is part of the sustainability policy in order to avoid wasted food

The hotel is conveniently located close to many of the prime places you will be interested to visit. There is a beautiful park in front of this property that is a bonus. I was able to walk every were and felt safe. The staff was always friendly and available to help. The close proximity to restaurants and cafes makes it convenient and another plus. The breakfast was chuck full of selections for every taste. The hotel restaurant had assorted selections to enjoy for lunch and dinner at a reasonable price. The room was comfortable, full of many amenities, and modern. The room also had a safe and mini bar. The bed was clean, comfortable, and warm.

The check-in is very slow and dates back to pre-digitalization. Don’t get why i needed to fill in an arrival form with all the details available from the reservation. No wonder that took forever. The trash bin at the entrance was overflowing for hours, with rubbish on the floor. Nobody seemingly cared. Same for items like empty glasses, food bins on the room floors. Not something acceptable in a 4star, to be honest

I appreciated the location. Lots of restaurants and cafés within walking distance. It's close to the Kampi bus station where I took a bus to Porvoo and I also walked to the harbor to take the ferry to Suomelinna. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. This is an important point to me, because I am a light sleeper.

It would have been nice to have a kettle to make tea or coffee. When I first arrived I noticed an empty wrapper on the night stand and a piece of paper under the desk. Five days later the wrapper and the piece of paper were still there. I was surprised because the hotel is well kept.

Excellent location close to all main tourist attractions within minutes walking, comfortable rooms, decent breakfast with many options, very quiet room, sauna access, park in front of the hotel,, very good restaurant choices around, overall a very pleasant stay. I recommend this hotel for a stress free stay in Helsinki.

Not having slippers provided in the room, in the corners of the room there was little dust, coffee was not good at the breakfast (I never understand the hotels that do not invest in good coffee but they have a plethora of food choices), no salmon based options at the breakfast (that was a first for a Scandinavian country hotel, but they had herring) and overall I would have preferred much more local foods and more attention to what is served and tables cleaning. These are small improvement points to increase the value for the money.

The Scandic Helsinki Hub Hotel is centrally located to downtown and the Design District, easiy accessible to all Helsinki sites on foot or by tram. The rooms are comfortable and equipped with state of the art lighting systems. The breakfast room offers extensive and delicious options at several breakfast bar stations.

Breakfast was fantastic, but expensive. The method the hotel staff used of keeping track of whether your breakfast is included in your room rate or was extra was confusing. Be aware that if you need to pay for your breakfast, you need to let the font desk staff know the night before, otherwise they will charge you the higher walk-up rate rather than the staying guest rate.

Scandic Helsinki Hub is such a great hotel! It’s a refurbished, over 100 years old huge print house. It’s tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. Rooms are clean and very functional. The bathroom could easily match 5* hotels. I loved the way the lighting was organised with day, evening or night options. Don’t forget to use the sauna for a real scandic experience. The highlight of our stay at this hotel were breakfasts- probably the best we’ve ever had in any hotel around the world and that includes very fancy destinations. Helsinki is quite an expensive city but this hotel provides amazing value for money.

The staff is amazing, especially the night shift, super helpful! The location is ideal to go around Helsinki on foot, services and amenities were at very short distance. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Beds are super comfortable and rooms are soundproof. Ideal!

Only 2 things: it is difficult to regulate the temperature in the room as the heating seems to be centralised. Windows are locked and can’t be opened to change a bit the air, which is not ideal as the air was too dry and I had trouble sleeping.
