the location is fantastic. the staff very friendly. good international and diverse guests. staying in an authentic traditional property which used to be an inn. it had original features like the old ceramic chimneys and porcelain heaters (as a feature). good communal space (kitchen).

the mattress was old and not very comfortable. some of the guests unfortunately lacked shared space etiquette and no respect for other room mates by making noise or arriving very late and leaving very early and generally being loud and inconsiderate. my suggestion is not to check in anyone after midnight and until 7am in the morning!

Beautifully restored old building in such a perfect central location which is just off the main streets so is nice and quiet at night. The entire area felt very safe. The rooms themselves were big with comfy beds, big lockers that you can easily fit a big hiking pack into, powerpoints next to each bed, bathrooms and toilets were in individual rooms that were quite private. It never felt crowded. Nice kitchen/ living area with a friendly vibe, easy to meet people. However, there were some couches in other areas for whomever wanted some personal time. All the staff were locals and were very friendly and helpful with local recommendations, arranging transport cards, and general problem solving.

My stay was flawless. This is everything a hostel should be.

This place was amazing! The staff were so so lovely and helpful, they even give you a little tour when you arrive. The place was exactly like the photos too. My room had sockets near the bed, and decent size lockers. The bathrooms were clean, and I never really found myself having to wait for one. The kitchen was also clean, and a good size for the amount of people using it. The location was good too, you were able to walk to almost anything, and it was close to a couple of grocery stores for food too. I would 100% recommend staying here, and will definitely be back if I’m in the city again!

I've stayed many times at Diana Park while in Helsinki. Excellent location near the centre, very cozy atmosphere. Kind & helpful personnel. The shop (K-kauppa) is just around the corner, the central train & bus stations are at a walking distance. Highy recommended, especially for people traveling alone. I've always stayed in the female dorm. Spacious, warm showers.I often stored my luggage for the next afternoon after check-out. There are also lockers. Feels very safe. I'll be sure to return.

It's hard to find any complaints! Some of the toilets are very small. But there's a bigger one at the end of the hallway. The kitchen is closed at night (But it's been okay to sneak in the night to heat up my hot water bottle.)

The location is fantastic, I had a conference at the University of Helsinki for three days, but I also stayed two more days and went out into the city, and the main station is very easily accessible from there on foot, or if your luggage is heavy, with the trams. The kitchen seems very functional and well equipped, although I didn't have that much time to cook, but it's also a nice common area! The room was decent (5 people mixed dorm), very clean, and didn't feel overcrowded to me. My mattress could have been newer, it had lost a bit of its support. Not the most lively hostel I've stayed at, but since I was there for work, I didn't mind it being quiet in the rooms and hallways. However, they had a nice list of activities for the week, which took place in bars and venues in the area, plus a Whatsapp group so you can connect with other guests. I would have loved to try those out if I'd stayed longer, or if I get the chance to visit again.

It's expensive, but Helsinki is expensive in general.

Super nice place, would definitely recommend. I stayed for 2 nights, the hostel is quiet, clean, bed was comfortable, and the staff were very helpful. The kitchen is great too, you have everything you need to cook, and it’s a cozy space. I arrived a bit earlier than check-in time and was warmly welcomed to use all the facilities, including the showers, kitchen, and WC. Same when I checked out, I was allowed to leave my stuff after 11 and stay in the common areas as long as I needed, which was nice as I had a late evening flight. Overall, a very cozy, quiet, and clean place. The location is perfect – close to the train station and city center. Would definitely recommend!

Everything was great!

The room and the common areas were all clean and neat, the receptionists were friendly. We have only spent one night, but it was perfect for us, near to the bus and railway station. The building has an Art Nouveau charm, and it gives the hostel a soul. A great spot to go and explore the city centre by foot. If we visit Helsinki again, we will come back here!

For us it was no bother to carry our luggage up the stairs, but for the elderly, or for someone with health issues or disability the lack of an elevator can be a challange. Not a problem for us, but something to keep in mind.

Perfect location, in the very center - Central station, harbor, shopping centers, main city sightseeing - all in walking distance. Hostel is very clean and cozy. I took private room, so had almost no interactions with other guests, but as far as I know everybody was nice and friendly. The room had sink in it, very convenient. Definitely will consider this hostel again for my next stay in Helsinki.

Shared bathroom, but this is how it is in hostels. Smell from the kitchen, when somebody was preparing meal. Bed wasn't very comfortable, but still ok.

I arrived early and asked the staff to store my luggage which was no problem at all. In general, the staff seemed enthusiastic. I loved the kitchen! It was exceptionally clean and well organised, it was absolutely no issue to find things and use the equipment. It seems at first that 4 showers are not enough but the showers were all spacious and I did not see any people waiting. The location is super central, 15 min walking distance to the central station. The building is old and well looked after with beautiful interior (pictures from 1909 in Helsinki, I really liked these details!), tye dorms were spacious and included a sink, little lockers and a coat rack. All beds had a plug close by.

Good location, clean hostel, friendly workers, clean kitchen, had nice warm shower, quiet at night, and friendly people lounged at the place. It's good for lone travellers because you can easily make friends at the hostel if you want.

Actually, i booked a single room and slept only two nights, so I didn't notice much. But it would be nice to have bathing soap in all the bathrooms.
