The best thing of Hotel Anna were the Reception staff: Elena, Ida and Norma ? (yellow hair with glasses) - They were friendly, prompt and efficient. Thanks to all of you. Hotel Anna is little but nice old hotel but true hotel in aspects. My room had spare fan if it gets too hot (it was) and umbrella and shoe horn!! Mini fridge in my room worked though they said it don't in some rooms. The pillows were good, though mattress may need change. Breakfast is OK though the scrambled eggs seem baked. Fortunately, reception had told me there is fruit, and fruit is kept between 2 pillars and may skip guest's eyes. Location of Hotel is good - cross the road and walk down and inside a road and there is K Mart supermarket with even hot dishes for sale. The blue berry pies are good. Restos and bars on the street. It is 15 minute walk to Senate square from Hotel where tours originate, and the nearby is seaside is jetty and the Orthodox cathedral.

For a little hotel, everything is fine and more; there is smoking point outside.

The location, super central, just next to the street with bars and restaurants and few minutes walking from the center The staff was always very kind Breakfast was quite diverse as well with both cold and warm options 24/7 reception very convenient both for check in and out as well as anything you might need. The shower was as well super much appreciated, lot of water and fast temperature adjustment. In the room you will find tea, solubile coffee and an umbrella. We liked it overall a lot and would recommend it

The beds were alright but not very comfortable, most likely they are very old. Same for the pillows The blankets also gave a bit the impression of being quite old The sun shines very early and the curtains, despite being appropriate to shield the sun, are not always enough. The temperature of the room was in the night a bit high

Great location, it's in a really nice area with lots of cafes, restaurants and interesting architecture. Good for the tram and can walk to centre. Staff were efficient. Room was clean and functional. Room had a kettle. Some people might like the 'vintage' styling. Quiet. Good breakfast.

Room, bathroom and single bed were all small. Fine if you're petite, particularly the single bed. It was hot in the room, even with the fan on all night and the small window open. All that would be fine if the price reflected it but it wasn't much, if at all, cheaper than better alternatives.

First off, Hotel Anna is in a brilliant location - extremely central and five minutes' walk away from Boulivardi and the main shopping streets. Go the other way and you'll soon be at the seafront, where markets, coastal paths, beaches and saunas await. If you choose to stay hyper-local, Iso Roobertinkatu has bars and restaurants (and a decent-sized K Market), while walk the other way and a couple of minutes down the road are Seksico Tacos and Alfons Pizza (and Viiskulma pub), both excellent. When it came to Hotel Anna itself, it far exceeded expectations - staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, comfortable (good pillows!) and well-appointed with a really good shower. The choice for breakfast was comprehensive - from freshly prepared scrambled eggs and bacon, to cheeses, breads (the Finnish do love their rye bread), cereal, yoghurt and fruit... it was all there.

I honestly can't think of anything. It was just a really welcoming, friendly, no-frills place. Some might not like it because of the old-fashioned feel, but that's really it.

Decent location. Good breakfast. A bit old but not disturbing.

My room was unbearably warm. The reception suggested to open the windows. This helps a bit. But then there is light inside and noise from outside and still warm. Very uncomfortable to sleep. It is difficult to recommend a hotel when you book the room mainly for a sleep which is barely possible. Just be aware during peak summer times. Maybe it is better other other times.

Lovely place to stay . Very clean .Was after messaging the hotel to get directions to hotel from the train station. Very easy to get to . A short tram ride. Right in the center. Was doing a race near Meripuisto which was a short walk to the lovely water/ harbour. Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good. Good choice and plenty of it. . The room we had was clean and quiet. Bit dated but very comfortable. Couldn't fault the staff . So I would recommend staying there if you plan to visit Helsinki. Central to every thing.

To be honest, I wasn't 100% confident about booking this hotel after reading some reviews but I was happy that I stayed here! Great check in and out and communication - thank you. Great location in Design District and quiet street. Short walk downtown but many things to see and do in the area. Sure, it is not a "modern" hotel BUT eveything was very clean. Room was quiet which is a massive bonus. Hotel has character. Yes, it was warm but fan helped and it was just for 1 night (exceptionally warm). Breakfast wasn't extraordinary but for a 3 star hotel okay. Good value for money.

I stayed at Hotel Anna in Helsinki for 6 nights and had a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the location was very convenient for exploring the city. The highlight was definitely the staff — always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with anything. Their support made my stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Great location, close to the city center and the harbour (and to one of the hop on hop off bus stops). Rooms are clean and very quiet even at night despite some bars in the proximity. Many options at breakfast and the food was great. Hotel staff are very nice and helpful. There's also a sauna in the hotel which you can use (although I didn't have time).

Some cutlery in the room would be useful

Great location easy walking distance to town and right near tram, we walked with suitcases from the railway station. Very spacious room. Comfortable bed and good corner room. Hotel Anna is old but has beautiful character.

I wouldn't go out of your way for the breakfast, it's adequate as it's included in the price, but better options are available nearby or in town. Breakfast room can be crowded first thing.
