Location, location, location! The hotel is just off the lobby of Pasila rail terminal, where all intercity and local trains out of Helsinki stop, so it's very convenient for travelling to/from other parts of Finland, or to airport, and locally. FAO summer visitors, it's also about 10 minute walk from Linnanmaki theme park and you can see the theme park from 'city view' rooms, which look towards Helsinki, and the sea beyond. These rooms are also great for trainspotters, it's kind of fun to observe the double deckers and other trains going back and forth. But it's very quiet - you don't hear traffic noise at all. The style of rooms is modern and we loved the window wall :D We loved the location 'at the mall' as it was fun to shop and visit the food court, and many cafes. There's also 24h Alepa store with salad bar, snacks, drinks, etc. We tend to come here on every Helsinki trip with family as it's cheaper than central Hki but the mall means there's something to do - even cinema - until late, which is great with teenagers :D There's also amazing breakfast with Finnish delicacies - try rahka (creamy berry/yoghurt mix) and Karelia rice pies with egg butter and a bit of crispy bacon on top :D And there's luggage storage if you head out to exploring on your arrival / departure day.

At busy times you might find the lobby full of visitors, so if you want to talk to reception staff you need to get a queueing number from near the mall doors - this is not obvious to international visitors. However, if you don't need any assistance look out for a number of tablets they provide for self-check in, which are super easy to use, and you can load 2 keys per room easily. Excellent service. So this was not really a complaint but a tip as the Q looked very long on our arrival.

The hotel is located in the Tripla Shopping Mall and right next to the Pasila train station which was perfect. The reception staff were all cordial and pleasant. There are 4 lifts to convey you up to your floor and down to the lobby quickly and you don't have to wait long for a lift to arrive. The room was nicely outfitted with a very comfortable bed and a great shower. Lighting was good and the small safe was appreciated. The rooms are so quiet! There is a laundromat on the ground floor of the shopping centre for any washing you need to do.

It would have been nice to have a little fridge in the room.

Breakfast offered a generous variety, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. There was a good selection of breads and spreads, alongside various cereals. One particularly notable feature was the impressive assortment of cakes, which added a delightful touch to the morning meal. However, the warm food left something to be desired—it could certainly benefit from some improvements in both quality and variety. Overall, I would rate the breakfast experience a solid 8 out of 10. The room itself was a pleasant surprise—modern in design, tastefully decorated, and most importantly, very clean. It provided a comfortable and relaxing space to unwind, contributing positively to the overall stay.

The bed was generally comfortable, but I personally would have preferred a softer mattress. It was on the medium-firm side, which may suit many guests, but for someone like me who enjoys sinking slightly into a softer surface for a more cushioned sleep, it felt a touch too firm. While it didn’t prevent me from getting a decent night’s rest, a bit more softness would definitely have enhanced the overall comfort.

The breakfast was excellent with a very wide selection. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is excellent. The room was quite large and very comfortable.

The cleaning didn't occur as planned. We had requested cleaning on just one out of our 4 night's stay but they didn't arrive as was organized at check in, although they subsequently did clean the room once asked again. It was a bit of a waste to have refreshed towels for just the last day of our stay. But this was minor and we had a great stay!

We were very satisfied with our choice. Excellent connections to city and airport. Part of the tripla mall so lots of opportunities to eat out or go to shops. Comfortable beds and nice shower. They do charge for extra towels or robes so this might annoy some people but it was fine for our length of stay. Lots of choice and space in the breakfast room and cosy bar. I would recommend overall and stay here again if I was going to the convention center around the corner. Reception staff were lovely too. It was also nicer looking design-wise I real life than in pictures.

Great location with views over Helsinki, a huge mall underneath (complete with a massive indoor playground for kids), and easy access (via train or bus) to pretty much any part of Helsinki. Comfortable but simple rooms and a great, tasty breakfast (and very kind breakfast staff too!)

It's quite basic for the price and the fact that they don't offer family rooms (with space for a family of four) is a real shame.

The hotel overall was great. Breakfast was served every morning. It was clean and quiet. The location was convenient with access to the mall and to public transportation as well.

Housekeeping only leaves two towels, there is no room to spill anything and try to clean it up yourself.

Confusing reception area. IT was a total mess. Some guests took queue numbers, others were pushing otherwise in front of the queue. At times unhelpful staff. Totally a ridiculous joke to call them "Onnellistaja". The Asian heritaged young guy was really rude on Sat evening 1/11/ 2024.

Comfortable and clean hotel at a great location! I really enjoyed the breakfast too, so many options. We asked for extra pillows and they were brought to us in minutes. Also when we had a noise complaint about a neighbour room, the reception dealt with it immediately.

Really hard or think of anything. Maybe that the standard rooms don't have a mini fridge, you need to book a higher room category for that.

Perfect location coming from airport, train station under hotel and shopping mall ( discounts in a shops by showing your hotel key!)so easy to continue towards middle Finland. Reception staff very friendly. Room in 16th floor with amazing views, clean and comfortable. Bar cosy with an excellent choice of wines. Breakfast with cold and warm sections plentiful and delicious. Will certainly stop again this coming summer.

Would have rather had a bath than shower.
