We chose this hotel because it’s an easy walk from the train station, which also makes it conveniently close to the main sights like the Cathedral and old town. We joined a Guru walking tour, which was an informative and enjoyable way to explore the area, and we loved sitting by the Rhine for lunch and evening drinks. The hotel itself is lovely – clean, comfortable, and with very friendly staff. We especially appreciated the outdoor seating area where we could relax. The buffet breakfast was excellent and a real bonus that it was included in our room rate. The sweets and desserts are a quirky offering.

We booked the Domstern but due to the size of our party, were accommodated at the Hotel Domspitzen (I believe they are brother hotels). They are across the street from one another. The location, hospitality, and breakfast were outstanding! The room had everything you need for a city trip to Köln. Very clean, very comfortable, and close to everything - city center, public transportation, and the old town and new city. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve ever had and we’re all seasoned travelers. Our stay gave us yet another reason to return to Köln. I plan to stay here again.

This property is located very close to the main train station and the cathedral, I was able to walk around, get to see stuff and do the shopping I had to without paying for transport. This is a great location for anyone that wants quick and easy access to everything. I really liked it. The room was beautiful, spacious and clean.

The property does not have an elevator and that made it a bit challenging for me and my heavy bags as my room was on the fourth floor, but I would still go back to this place.

Convenient location in quiet street, a few minutes walk from the station. Excellent breakfast, freshly cooked and served at your table.

Slightly bizzare check-in procedure, involving getting emailed a code for the door (I missed the email, so some initial confusion at reception) - check your mails from the hotel once you've booked! Note - the reception is not at the hotel where you are staying (The Domstern), but about 100m further along the road, on the opposite side, at another hotel (presumably part of the same group).

The location was perfect. A couple of minutes walk from the main station and underground. The other side of that is the compact centre of Cologne and the cathedral. In fact, you could see the cathedral from the entrance to the hotel. Staff were unremittingly nice and helpful. I speak hardly any German, everyone there spoke English. In a fairly quiet street. My room was basic but comfortable and quiet. Breakfast buffet was modest but quite diverse. Perhaps it's local cuisine, but there were things like meatballs and spicy sauces along with the usual cheeses, meats, and so on. Lots of little dishes with Pickles in them or yoghurt and so on. It was all very nice.

Room could have been a bit cleaner. Lots of grit and stuff on the floor. Had to wipe my feet before getting into bed. I didn't try asking for housekeeping to give it a clean, Their system is not to do so until you leave. Ended up cleaning it myself. Bathroom a bit gunky in the corners. Smelled a bit when I arrived.

Close to main train station, room was perfect. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic, there were lots of choices, and there was even a vegan section for my wife. They also had kids' sweets above the cold meats and cheese section (out of reach of children), which will be great if I bring my granddaughter next time. The honesty fridge in the foyer was brilliant. Used it a few times for a nightcap! Will definitely stay here next time I visit Berlin!

Can't think of anything I didn't like!

The most beneficial is location which is easy -to-reach distance from the railway station. And the breakfast was superb, with a surprisingly wide range if delicious things (from cereals to the celection of cheeses and olives and shrimps and what not). The team serving breakfast to the guests were stunning, so friendly and amiable, just lovely! Thank you for the delicious breakfast in a friendly and smily atmosphere that you create for your guests!

The apartment looked a bit outfashioned, the colour of the bedroom wallpaper looked a bit gloomy to us. But it just a matter of taste, you know.

The stuff was so kind and the location was excellent. Breakfast menu was rich with German cheese and breads. We ate freshly prepared omelettes and drunk fresh coffee. Stuff was interested every step at the property.

We arrived the property late at night so we couldn’t find anybody at reservation. But they reached me my mail and send me the instructions about how to check in to property.

The breakfast was vary varied and exceptionally good. The location is excellent as you can walk to the Cathedral in less than 15 minutes.

The room I was given (no.2) is very compact (no wardrobe, but not an issue as I stayed only a couple of nights) and one can hear the main door being slammed every time a guest goes for breakfast from 7am.

Really close to HBF and the Dom, not too far from the main area either. Close to the Rhine river which is nice to walk along. The staff are really lovely. The hotel also has one of the best breakfast buffets. They allocate each guests into different time slots so we would all get a table. They also give you a menu for eggs - eggs your choice made fresh. The room is small but clean and the bed is comfy. Very simple hotel with minimum facilities but still a cute room.

Minimum facility, no kettle or mini fridge. Not sure if this is normal for Europe. Small room and also small bathroom which doesn’t bother me but the bathroom was quite humid even when i turn the fan on extensively. Sometimes after flushing the toilet it can take a while for the water to stop which would worry me as I thought i broke it.
