I’ve stayed at Goonoo Goonoo Station a few times now, and every visit has been absolutely amazing. It’s one of those rare places that consistently delivers on every level and I’ll definitely be going back again. The accommodation is stunning, a perfect blend of modern luxury and historical charm. Each stay has felt special, with beautifully styled rooms, peaceful surroundings, and all the comforts you could ask for. The Glasshouse Restaurant is a real highlight. The food is always exceptional, fresh, flavourful, and perfectly presented and the panoramic views from the restaurant just add to the experience. It’s easily one of the best dining spots in the region. The staff make the whole experience even better. They’re always warm, attentive, and genuinely care about making your stay memorable. You can really feel the pride they take in the place. Whether it’s your first time or your fifth, Goonoo Goonoo Station never disappoints. Can’t wait for my next visit.
Only tiny suggestion, pop a corkscrew and some ice in the room. Help a guest open a bottle and chill out properly!

Our little 2 bedroom cottage “The Granny Flat” was perfect for our stay. It had everything including a full kitchen with all amenities. The view was beautiful overlooking the paddocks with horses to the mountains, very relaxing. We enjoyed 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner at Glasshouse restaurant, while the servings were to us overly generous, they were delicious. Goonoo Goonoo has charm and ambience and we will return.
The gutters were blocked with leaves so the rain unfortunately poured onto the verandah so we couldn’t enjoy sundowners on the verandah. I did mention this at reception and they are aware of the problem. It does need to be fixed asap to make the cottage 10/10.

Our stay at Goonoo Goonoo Station was amazing. We stayed in the Shearers Quarters which looked so authentic from the outside and so beautiful and modern inside. Styling was exceptional. We had dinner at the onsite The Glasshouse Restaurant and it was truly a fantastic experience. The gardens in the village are breathtaking and everything is so well maintained. Photos can not do justice to the place. The scenery, accomodation and peacefulness of the place is so lovely. We will be recommending others to make sure they visit and enjoy the whole experience.
Would love a covered gathering space near the Shearer's Quarters (maybe a gazebo)

Our stay at this property was nothing short of a delightful surprise. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning blend of history and beauty that defines the place. The historic buildings, each telling a unique story, were impeccably maintained, and we were in awe of the pristine condition throughout the property. One of the highlights was the Glasshouse Restaurant—an extraordinary venue that perfectly blends the charm of the old shearing shed and the grandeur of the woolstore building. The atmosphere was truly magical, a seamless fusion of heritage and modernity. It’s clear that every detail has been thoughtfully preserved and cared for. In fact, I’ve already shared this hidden gem with my friends and have made plans to return for my 60th birthday celebration. I can’t wait to experience it all over again!
There was nothing we didn't like. it is amazing!

Amazing location/grounds, beautifully maintained. We stayed in the homestead which was an expansive property with a beautiful pool and view.
Average housekeeping - no extra towels for 10 people on a property with a pool and toilet paper ran out before the end of our first night. The kitchen area was the most group-friendly area of the house with open glass doors and a nice view but it was the hottest part of the house which made it less habitable for group lunches/meals etc. We also had issues with the restaurant service and our feedback was not readily received on checkout.

So, my partner and I stumbled upon Goonoo Goonoo Station during our epic Aussie road trip, and boy, are we glad we did! We only stayed for one night, but it was like stumbling upon a little slice of paradise in the middle of nowhere. First things first, finding the place in the dark was a bit of an adventure. So, if you're rolling in after sunset like we did, just keep your eyes peeled because it's tucked away, but totally worth the hunt. Once we finally made it, though, it was like stepping into a whole other world. The station is oozing with history, and our room was the perfect mix of cozy and swanky. Plus, the staff? Super friendly and made us feel right at home. Now, here's the kicker: the surroundings. During the day, it's like something out of a postcard. Seriously, take a minute to soak it all in. Trust me, you won't regret it. We didn't get to explore as much as we wanted, but even just a taste of the scenery left us in awe. Oh, and let's not forget about the grub. The restaurant on-site served up some seriously tasty dishes. Locally sourced ingredients, bursting with flavor—definitely a highlight of our stay. So, if you're cruising across Oz and looking for a unique stopover, do yourself a favor and hit up Goonoo Goonoo Station. Just remember, keep an eye out for it in the dark, and save some time to bask in the beauty of the surroundings during the day. You can thank me later! 🚗💨

Charming ambience with all facilities.
DISTANCE FROM TOWN: 20k . While it was lovely to be in the country, because of the presence of kangaroos I did not book any nighttime activities in town through caution of having to drive 20k back to my accom. POOL: wanted to swim every day, need exercise for back injury . the presence of 2 15? Yr old boys bombing and playing in the pool made it impossible for me to do any exercise at all. Way too small when unruly kids using it, and mother did not intervene.

What a wonderful property. There is real attention to detail here which deserves merit. The gardens are immaculate but wonderfully designed, the rooms are beautifully appointed - I loved that they had a coffee maker, and the location is superb. If you want to have time away in peace and quiet, this is for you. We stayed in one of the Shearer's Quarters rooms - not a large room, but very comfortable and with a little table and chairs outside on the verandah.
We ate at the Glasshouse restaurant. Great food, but my partner, who is a vegetarian, had the tagliatelli. The serving was, according to my partner, a child-size portion and for $46 I think they could afford to be a bit more generous.

This place is so special, an oasis away from the rest of the world where you can really breathe! The accommodation is amazing and the grounds and surroundings are very special.. Our room was one of the old sheep shearing stations, traditional on the outside but inside.. wow! The beds are very comfortable with the highest quality linens.. Spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The Glasshouse restaurant is also fabulous with great food and service! Loved everything!
I wish we could have stayed longer!!

We stayed two nights on the way home from Uralla and were warmly welcomed on arrival. The accommodation is fabulous and the gardens are outstanding. Every team member we met was smiling and engaging. We dined at Glasshouse on the first night. The food was delicious and service experience was first class. We will return to the station in the future for sure. Without hesitation we will recommend to family and friends.
Our only recommendation is that the shower door should open (out) without competing with the bath mat. Otherwise we loved everything about our stay.
