My stay at the Ambassador Hotel was enjoyable, with a quick check-in and check-out process despite the long queue. I particularly appreciated the amazing breakfast and dinner, which offered a variety of food to suit every taste. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff made the experience even more pleasant.

While my stay at the Ambassador Hotel had its highlights, there were a few aspects that I found disappointing. The air conditioning was still set to cooling in October, making the rooms and corridors uncomfortably chilly. Even during dinner, the AC was too strong, affecting the overall dining experience. Additionally, I was puzzled by the hotel’s decision to allow outdoor visitors into the wellness (sauna) area, despite the hotel being fully booked and having limited, if not insufficient, space for its own guests.

- Facilities: private beach, outdoor and indoor pools and a lot of outdoor space - The valet parking and private parking service (even if there is an additioanl fee) - The room with sea view - Walking distance from the city center but away from the noise - Breakfast was perfect.

I would have expected rooms and common areas to be cleaner and more well-maintained. Several furniture of the room had scratches, the cleaning service was not always spotless, the shower leaked water into the bathroom. Dinner was ok but was expecting more from a hotel with such good reviews and ratings. Also, it was not explicitly stated that dinner was a buffet dinner.

I really liked everything in this superb hotel, staff was really nice. Room with a sea view was amazing. Only "bad thing" is finding a parking space. if they are charging for a hotel parking 15€ or 20€ a day, there should be a free parking spot at all times.

Hard to find a parking spot ( which u have to pay ), in my opinion parking should be included in a room price, which is not cheap ( 300 to 400€ ) a night

The beach area is too small for this size of hotel, pool area is big but extremly hot, only people that come around 7am get sunbed at the beach. The noise cancellation between rooms and from outside is not very good.

Booked the Junior Suite, with a stunning sea view. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Spa facilitates were clean & included in the room price (good to know, no bathing suits are allowed in the sauna, hot tub area) and the breakfast had a very good selection and quality of food.

Coffee/tea facilitates were included in the room, but without milk. I asked for some milk at the bar & was charged 2.50 EUR for the milk. For a 5 Star hotel I would have expected milk to be complementary for your tea/coffee in the room. Hotel was very busy due to a Firefighter conference & on day 2 due to the car parking being busy, we had to wait 30 mins to collect the car due to being blocked in by a Fire Engine. Not what I was expecting after paying 15 EUR a day for parking.

Small things, but very logical adding together a bright picture: - food variety is great and it was always refilled - staff was extremly open and kind - spa/pool services all around - cleanliness in the hotel areas - big spaces in the restaurant, lobby - soundproofing was OK - location is the best in Opatija +1: in the past 6 consequitive hotel nights I couldn't barely sleep and here finally I could. Maybe the sound of the sea :)

- you will always get smoke in your balcony, even in offseason - difficult parking in the garage, max height 1.8 meter (no SUVs allowed) - but you will be informed in advance of your options - rooms are a bit worn out (broken soap tray, some painting issues) - cleaniness in the room was a bit questionable (dirty coffee mug, dusty bedside table)

When we first arrived in front of the hotel we almost left because from the outside it didn’t look very nice (the building itself, red and blue sun shading is not very pretty) but I am SO GLAD we stayed! When you walk inside it is amazing. Super modern, high class and spacious. The wellness and spa are very clean and nice. The breakfast was out of this world. I wish I was more hungry to try everything they had to offer, it was really more than you could ever imagine. Their restaurant Cubo was also one of the best I have ever tried, service also. The valet was really nice and deserves all the tips. All of the staff is really polite. Definitely coming back. Thank you

We had a junior suite and it was amazing. The tv stand really sticks out as something cheap in a room that is amazingly decorated. Also the bath robes were a bit old and worn off, it bothered me a bit in a such high class place.

It was very beautiful - the sea view is amazing. Staff goes out of their way to help. The pool outside is brilliant. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are free for guests and comfy. Staff is always there to help. SPA is out of this world, big big recommendation, just go and get yourself pampered in finnish or mild sauna, massage plunge pool, cold and warm shower with minty mist option, and enjoy a nice tea... Food is amazing, we were there on half board. So many choices, changes every day. Some pies even for breakfast, and a lot of local specials for dinner (e.g. fritule, kelj na padelu...) , delicious seafood options (squid, brudet, mijesana riba). Nice walk Lungo mare accessible from hotel, kids beach (Tomislavec?) is very close also. Great location if you want to be away from the city centre noise, but still close enough (15min walking) if you want to go to Park Angiolina or some show. Dog friendly!

Mini club (kids club) was closed so if you want an indoor kindergarten experience better ring them to confirm. Think they have a small playground there also but don't know if open this year. No water on tap during dinner, no free beverages. (There are free beverages along breakfast). Also, lack of potatoes as side dish for dinner.

Hotel Ambasador - Liburnia boasts an absolutely breathtaking location along the picturesque Adriatic coastline, offering stunning views that capture the natural beauty of the region. Despite visiting during off-season with stormy weather, I was delighted to find the pool remained accessible regardless of the rain, allowing for relaxing swims even when the weather wasn't cooperating. An unexpected highlight was the buffet dinner, which turned out to be a generous all-you-can-eat affair with plentiful options to satisfy various tastes and appetites.

No significant drawbacks were experienced during my stay at this seaside property.

Breakfast was amazing with a lot of fresh prepared choices and local ingredients. The staff was nice and friendly on all levels, including cleaning ladies. I was amazed how clean the bathroom was. The hotel is well located in the centre of Opatija, therefore there are a lot of options for walking to different directions. I will totally go back again.

The price for the hotel is not friendly, especially because the parking is not included in the price. Also publicly available parking spaces cost around 25 EUR per day, so it is not a big difference where you park.
