1. The proximity to the station. It was a 5 min walk from Fujikyu Highland Station. 2. The view - We booked a room with a view of Mt. Fuji. The 2 days we were there, Fuji-san was just showing off and gave us an incredibly great image. It was well worth it. 3. The onsen - what an incredible view of Mt. Fuji from the onsen. It was truly breathtaking. They do have an indoor and outdoor onsen which I thought was really great. Sometimes it gets too hot inside an indoor onsen, so it was a great option to have an outdoor one too. 4. The breakfast - was one for the books! One of the best breakfast we had in Japan. Their Japanese breakfast options were great and the American breakfast options were good too!
Nothing. It was a perfect stay.

The view is superb as you can see Mt Fuji right from the window of your room. The hotel is big and always with many customers. We checked in during dinner time, together as many tourists from the tourists bus. It made the check in experience not so pleasant, as it was noisy, crowded and a bit chaotic in the lounge area. The staff seemed impatient as well, and didn't explain much, just passed us the info paper for us to self read. Even though there's instructions in the onsen wall (I guess not big enough) that no phone is allowed in the onsen and changing room, but there was still people who use their phone there, which is very impolite to other ppl who were using the onsen as well. No staff / rule to inform or stop the ppl from using the phone in the onsen area as well. The onsen was crowded after dinner time as well. If you prefer quiet time, tried to avoid that period. The onsen didn't seem clean as well, I left my stuff at the bathing closet the day before, and found it at the same place the next day. My instinct is no staff was cleaning the bathing area during that one day. The hotel room and facilities are okay, passable.

The view was amazing (if you can if ignore the powerlines :) ) Four single beds, two slightly larger ones. Breakfast was good, international styled. Onsen? First time trying, was great (outdoor one would have a good view of Fuji-san on a good day) but felt that there was too much restrictions. Large carpark with ample parking. Best layout for toilet, washbasin and bathtub. All seperate from each other with doors for the toilet and bathtub.
None But just for info for families with young kids and large luggage, its really far from the train station (15-20 min walk). I drove so it wasnt an issue.

The beds were comfortable. We were in an upper floor family room and the view was lovely. The breakfast buffet was really good with many options to choose from. Our family of four enjoyed having both Japanese food and Western food options. Sometimes hotel breakfasts can be disappointing but it was really good. The staff were also courteous and attentive. Another note...the A/C was actually cold and lovely.
We booked a family room and the size was adequate but looked bigger in the pictures. It is Japan after all so we are used to small rooms. There was no closet to store luggage.

The views are incredible, and I didn't even have the Fuji view (definitely pay for the Fuji view if traveling in winter months, it is spectacular). Onsen is on the top floor and has an indoor and open-air outdoor bath. Clothing similar to "Samue" is provided for use to/from the onsen (basically lounge wear). Onsen has a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji and is very spacious and clean. It was not busy during my stay with no more than 3 or 4 people using it regardless of hour. Staff are incredibly nice, the breakfast is buffet-style and priced very fairly (2200JPY per person if I remember correctly), and the room is very clean and spacious. The price is unbeatable for what you are getting. It is also located 1 minute away from a bus stop which will connect you to various train stations which is very convenient. Definitely try the nearby Indian place (7-10min walk past the hotel uphill on the left, can't miss it) - it's delicious, inexpensive, quiet, and has incredible staff.
It can be a little tedious getting here, but this is no fault of the property - Fujiyoshida is a car-centric area. There is one bus stop with relatively infrequent service (every 30min or so). If you can't take that bus for some reason, you will be doing a lot of walking to the nearest train station.

The The property was at a relocation and it was easily accessible. The staff were very friendly and comfortable to engage with partners. The buffet in the morning was with a lot of options and was great food. The personalities were clean and the view was amazing.
The Onsen as advertised is not very far in a friendly as you have to be naked to go in the in the On which is not something all foreigners are comfortable with and secondly one thing that I did not like about the hotel was at the pillows was super-uncomfortable like rock hard

Great onsen, I especially enjoyed the outdoor part. Comfortable beds, very close to train station and theme park. Receptionists provided me with a tattoo sticker despite the rules on the onsen walls saying tattoos including stickers arw banned, so things are probably changing. Had no issue bathing with the sticker on but it was not fully covering the tattoo but made it less visible for sure. Probably would be tricky if i had more tattoos though.
Difficult to find an uber in the area, but receptionist provided us with a map with taxi phone number and called us taxi to the pagoda which was super comfortable.

Just outside bus stop and 5 min walk to the FUJI Highland train station and bus station also the Fuji Highland attraction. Lots of food option around the same area as the bus station. There is also a convenience store. Can catch bus to visits the shrines and walk the parks. Scenes outside the window was the Fuji mountain!
The Onsen is not managed by any staff. For the 3-days stay, it was noisy with many visitors talking loudly even though there were information about etiquette in the Onsen. Restaurant meal time can be a challenge when it is fully occupied and you have to wait for 30 min to get in.

It was a good stay! I appreciated the convenient location, and the free parking was a nice bonus since we were traveling by car. The breakfast was enjoyable, offering a variety of choices. The view from our room was also a highlight – we could see Mount Fuji, which was stunning despite some minor distractions from the nearby amusement park.
The hotel is overpriced for what it offers. For the amount we paid, we expected much more. The room was outdated and poorly maintained – the curtains were torn, wallpaper was damaged, and we constantly had issues with the key cards, having to replace them several times as they wouldn’t open the door. Overall, not worth the money. We’ve stayed in better 4-star hotels for a lower price in Japan.
