Nice hotel, great location on the beach front, great food and excellent staff

The bar which serves drinks to guest is not manned between 6:30 and 10pm. Suggest a member of staff is provided to ensure guests can order drinks. Many evening guest were waiting or leaving the hotel to seek a bar outside

Hotel size of overgrown family mansion and location right at the beach creates peacefull safehouse for your vacation with everything you may need. You can enjoy your evening right at the San Agustin beach promenade, but you may not need to. There were free sunbeds always available next to the pool and hotel bar was more price convenient than the 'outside'. For some serious nightlife you can reach Playa del Ingles 30mins walk/10mins drive. Far away from the noise, close enough to walk.

You may find it too tranquil if you are under 30. This place has its mature serene. Despite the effort, food was not bad, but always tasted somehow the same.

The Hotel San Agustin Beach Club is located in an excellent location in San Agustin. The San Agustin shopping centre is 5-10 minutes walk (slightly uphill) and you have access to Spar (supermarket), shops and multiple good restaurants. The hotel readily books you a taxi to the shopping centre/taxi stand, if it is a struggle to walk to the shopping centre. The hotel is located next to the San Agustin Beach which is a volcanic sand beach. The beach is not overcrowded and there are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas which can rent for small fee from the beach wardens. There is a restaurant on the beach with a toilet facilities, so you can easily buy drinks and food. We frequently headed back to our hotel as it so close. The hotel itself is compact and designed like the interiors of a cruise-ship. It was very quaint, clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The reception and restaurant staff were very cordial and always had smiling faces. We were welcomed with a complimentary glasses of sparkling wine whilst we were checking in. We were offered beach towels for each of us. We booked a triple room with an ocean view, which had a large bed with a comfortable mattress bed. The balcony view of the Ocean was amazing and definitely worth booking an Ocean-view room. The hotel room was clean. There were bathrobes for each of the guests and plenty of cupboards. On the first day, we had complimentary water bottles, teabags, sugar and milk. Thereafter, we bought water from the hotel or the local Spar. Thereafter restaurant/reception gave us teabags, milk and sugar when we asked them. Breakfast was exceptional with a wide variety of food, with both healthy options (plenty of fruit) and holiday unhealthy options. In addition to the buffet style, you can order crepes/pancakes, eggs done different ways and so on from the kitchen. The 2 pools were clean and good for families. The jacuzzi was lovely under some trees.

The downside is that the hotel is only accessible to the beach via relatively steep steps. Therefore, it would be amazing if the hotel considered constructing a ramp or lift to make the beach more accessible for prams and wheelchairs. Unfortunately, there were only 2 areas with sockets in the room. One area had about 3 sockets behind the TV which was difficult to access. The TV, kettle etc were already. There was one socket on the opposite wall near my mattress bed. However, we managed as we brought multi-plus adaptors with us.

Paid for a room overlooking the sea which we got. Room was old fashioned there was only two plug sockets one in bedroom and one in bathroom. The room was clean and it was lovely to leave the patio door open and listen to the sound of the sea. Two single beds with two armchairs in the room. Alan who was at reception was extremely helpful and advised us where to go. He knew my name throughout my stay which I was impressed with. Excellent breakfast wide selection of food. The beach was so close to the hotel. Went swimming to another beach as it was safer.

The dinner was a set meal and the waiters served the food wearing white gloves. There was a barbecue twice a week which was my favourite as I like to be able to chose my own food. There was a sit down meal in the conference room another night with entertainment.

The hotel was just perfect!. We especially liked the elegant enterior,/ ship like/ the traditional quality furniture and that it had only 60+ rooms. Always enough sunbeds,no crowd,it is mainly for adults. It is located right on the beach. The shopping centre ,where you can also rent bikes,motos and even cars is 5minutes walk.The local bus stop is also there. Inside there are 2 quite big pools so we could swim whenever we felt like it. Our room on the ground floor with garden view was spacious ,spotlessly clean with really comfy beds .Towels are changed daily..The hotel is extremely quiet. The food is gorgeous,in the morning the buffet is great variety,/ champaigne also!/ in the evening it is a 5course delicious dinner . One evening was a fantastic gala dinner,and one evening barbecue ,both excellent! And the staff here is extraordinary!Very kind and helpful ,went out of their ways to fulfil guests' wishes. Special thanks to Danny and Jenny at the reception !They helped us with organizing our trips ,explained everything. Also big thanks to always smiling Marco in the restaurant and the poolbar! The massage ,the sauna ,the gym are also well organized. All in all we can only admire and praise San Agustin Beach Club Hotel .Go and see it yourself. We definitely will return!

There wasn nothing to dislike in this hotel

Super hotel in a lovely location, right on the beach. Clean rooms, maid service daily, and public areas were spotless, very helpful staff. Sea view was spectacular, buffet breakfast plus options from a cooked menu, pancakes etc. Entertainment ok but there was something every night at dinner which was a set menu, 5 courses, waiter served. All staff are very smiley and helpful and proud of their quiet, elegant hotel.

Entertainment a little lame some evenings but short enough not to irritate. Coffee and tea in room only on welcome day then everything ( coffee, water etc) had to be bought.

Our first trip to Gran Canaria exceeded our expectations. As soon as we crossed the threshold of the hotel, we realized that the choice of hotel was ideal. Warm welcome, amazing staff (mostly Elio), cleanliness, location… We have visited many countries, stayed in various hotels, but never felt such a sincere and individual approach to the customer by the staff. This is the strong point of this hotel.

Wonderful beach front location! Great food: wide variety for high quality buffet breakfast and 5 course delightful dinner😋, once a week barbecue buffet. Amazing Christmas Eve dinner. Very nice and helpful staff. Very nice lobby and stairscase. Special atmosphere of a traditional hotel. Wonderful view from the balcony. Convenient spot for trips to snad dunes, mountains and interesting Canarian cities.

Cleaning could have been a little bit detailed. Also some repairs like leaving tap in bathroom should be done.

The Location and comfort were both excellent, this unique hotel is right by the sea, only 3 floors all with uninterrupted views. The pool and bar facilities were private but had secure direct access to the beach and the coastal path. The San Augustin area is a cut above the other areas we came across and the hotel is set among some good quality apartments, few other hotels are in the same position. The staff were very attentive and friendly and informative. The rooms were well appointed and cleaned daily. There was entertainment on every night during dinner but it was not intrusive, it was generally very quiet and it suited us well for the holiday we wanted Breakfasts were excellent and the Half Board option was very good value and nicely presented. The international airport was only 30 minutes away and the facilities and check in service very efficient compared to what we have come to expect in the UK recently.

The set menu was a little restricting but excellent value, we were only disappointed on one night by the choice. It would have been nice to have had a la carte on a couple of nights. The rest of the island appeared very drab compared to St Augustin. Even Hotel land in nearby Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas looks like a concrete jungle in comparison

Having a room with a view of the ocean, and being able to walk from the pool to the beach. The showers by the pool entry were also nice to clean off the sand before returning.

You advertise fitness center, but that is not a fitness center. We would have preferred having a real fitness center to exercise in the mornings, but having seen our hotel view made it worth being there.
