The woman who worked at Convo Lake Como (the manager maybe?) absolutely made this hotel! Her and her dog Jack Sparrow were so kind and welcoming and helped us with restaurant suggestions, told us what a reasonable price was for the many boat tour quotes we got (and more importantly, what was unreasonable), and when she saw we were headed out with a bottle of Champaign leant us Champaign glasses so we could sit on the wall in the nearby harbour for a sunset drink. She was lovely for a chat as we came and went. The location is perfect - you won’t have a view of the lake but it’s one house behind the waterfront so it’s only a 30-second alleyway away. It’s right by the harbour boardwalk, the ferry station (definitely take the express, not the long boat), bars and restaurants. Great price and great location! Highly recommend!

There is a communal outdoor courtyard with tables and chairs but I think because of all the rain right before we arrived it was a bit scummy and musty and could do with a bit of a power wash, but that may just have been unfortunate timing on our part with the weather!

Our initially booked accommodation was uninhabitable and we had to urgently, in the evening, look for a new accommodation during the summer holiday season (August). We were lucky to find this accommodation and the administrator Isabella was very kind and responsive, she helped us to check-in into the room at a late hour. The hotel is located close to the Ferries' pier, which is convenient for those (us) planning to explore Lake Como by boat. The train station is just a 3-minute walk from the hotel.

Air conditioners can be noisy for those who are used to sleeping in complete silence.

Seamless check-in and check-out. The hotel receptionists were super helpful and tried their best to accommodate. We connected well with the hotel manager, Isabella, who is an absolute gem and charm, and made us feel like we were home. Isabella really made an impression on the kiddo who has been asking about her since we left....bless her.. The rooms were clean, beds were good and clean. Sadly, we only stayed a night.

The only slight issue was that the TV wasn't working and the rooms were a little cold as we couldn't control the heater. We were not in Como to watch TV so we didn't mind so much.

We booked a stay at the Convo Como Lake and were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and the charming dog, Jack. Although we stayed for just one night, the experience was truly pleasant, largely thanks to the hospitality of the team. When our room wasn’t ready upon arrival, we were promptly transferred to another nearby hotel, conveniently located just steps from the Convo Como Lake and closer to the station. The staff went above and beyond by carrying our luggage up to the third floor, which we greatly appreciated. Our room was impeccably clean and well-appointed, featuring Rituals soaps, complimentary bottled water, and snacks awaiting us. I highly recommend staying here for its excellent location near the station, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, and the outstanding friendliness and attentiveness of the staff! 😊

We; a family of two adults and one child, enjoyed a fabulous stay at The Convo. The room exceeded our expectations, the location is perfect being just a stones throw from the lake, main dining areas and ferry port, and the communication was outstanding. Incredible value for money. The real star of the show is the fabulous host, Isabella (supported by Jack Sparrow!), who made everything just perfect for us from start to finish. From a warm and personal welcome, bags of local knowledge and tips, going above and beyond, and always being on hand with a smile, Isabella made our stay one to remember. Thank you!

The property is small, quaint; 12-13 rooms I believe. It felt like coming home, and Isabella felt like family. My room was clean and available to be clean daily. I chose every other day cleaning service. She provided bottle water, snacks, and fresh fruit. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely helpful. I had a minor issue with my AC and shower door that was addressed immediately. Oh, the elevator is snail pace slow and tiny. Hitting the steps is definitely the way to go. Just put your luggage on the elevator and meet it upstairs. The location is priceless. I walked everywhere: restaurants, shopping, hiking trails, and local attractions are all nearby. I averaged 17000-20000 steps per day so I indulged in the local delectable baked desserts and gelato. Public transportation including taxi service starts around 7-7:30am. I had a 6:30am flight. I told Isabella I would be leaving a day early to stay in Milan so I could catch my flight. Isabella was like “no, let me find you transportation. I don’t won’t you miss your last day here and incur an unnecessary expense.” And she did. My driver arrived on time like clock work. The ferry and local train station is a 5-10 minute walk.

Really good location, just simply PERFECT host, who helped us with the bags, showed the room, helped with choosing the places to eat, solved all the issues we had immediately. Really great communication and really amazing host made our stay really pleasant. The room was clean and quiet, right next to the lake and all the possible attractions, so we really loved staying at this hotel and I would recommend it to everyone visiting Como.

The only issue we faced was coldness in the room in the beginning, especially when we moved in. Because of no central heating and quite an old building, it took quite some time for the AC to heat up the room, but the host helped us with figuring it out. Everything else was really great!

Isabella was so helpful and really went out of her way to make me feel at home. She made herself available out of hours to come and make sure I had checked in ok and recommended a delicious restaurant for dinner. I was travelling on my own so I was very reassured by her presence. She also booked me a taxi for the next morning. The location is amazing, two minutes from the lake. My only downside was that the room was a little cold but it was a rainy night in January! And once the heating was on it was fine. The bed was really comfy and the room was nice and clean and a good size. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much Isabella!

The best aspects of this property are its fantastic location and Isabella’s warm hospitality. It is conveniently close to the Como Lago train station, the boat piers, and the charming town of Como. With numerous nearby restaurants, dining options are easily accessible. Isabella is incredibly kind and ensured our stay was comfortable. She recommended excellent cafes and restaurants, all of which were delightful. If we visit Lake Como again, we would definitely stay here.

The toiletries provided were quite minimal.
