Steve was brilliant. We arrived fairly late after a drive from Perth and when our keypad didn't work, Steve met us to provide a key to use! Communication was great, there's loads of helpful bits in reception if you're there for a few days/need inspiration. Room was very clean, had amenities to do your washing up which was great. Location is spot on, 10 minutes walk into the town which makes for a quick stumble home after testing out the breweries/giniversity which are in walking distance. Sign out the front so you can easily see the turn in off the main road. Great stay, would recommend.

Everything. This on the surface is an old fashioned motel style property. However, it is a real gem, offering great value for money within an easy walk to the centre of Margaret River township. The leafy location is just beautiful. Plenty of free parking right outside the room. The room was roomy, clean and comfortable with lovely newly renovated bathroom. A 12 minute easy walk to cafes, pubs, bars, restaurants, supermarkets. Host Steve is a character, very accommodating especially when we left some items in our room and he’s posting them to us. He gave great info on local attractions, pubs, restaurants etc.

Nothing at all.

We checked in later than the property latest time of check in at 5pm. We did have instructions ahead given by Steve in the event he was not around to assist. Steve was already there waiting just in front of the property greeting and smiling. He went through some stuff and we are ready in 5 mins. The place is clean and in order and comfortable. It is right at the edge of the forest. Very natural with all the lovely plants and beautiful flowers. I even encountered a kangaroo, a pair of colourful parrots on my forest trail walk. Love it!

As it was also directly along the main road of Brussel highway, the noise level in the night is noisy. Also I can hear the next room talking in the night. If the noise barrier can be improved it will be really great!

The whole place had a wonderful, serene atmosphere. Our room was perfectly clean, and though not a huge room, it felt very spacious. We took advantage of the bbq area. I love how each room has its own little veranda set in the gardens. Steve is an excellent host! He is also environmentally conscious, which is great. The location is perfect. Next door is the Margaret River Brew House. It's a short walk into the centre of town. This is our second stay at Edge of the Forrest - it's a place you want to return to.

This place is superb. Only a 10 minute walk into town. Steve, the host, is a legend. Always on hand, we spoke to him every morning about our plan for each day. Steve was brilliant with recommendations but also checking tide times, wind direction and speed (sounds random but this can affect the coastal attractions). Trust me, it’s worth staying here just to get the daily run down from Steve.

Lived all the bushland around the property. Steve was really friendly & provided great eating & walking tips for our stay. He also lent us a more-detailed walking book, which really helped in picking out which parts of the Cape-to-Cape track we wanted to do (as we had limited time there)! Must stress that even though our unit was right next to main road into town, the traffic really does down in the evening so really wasn’t that noisy at all! Has nice little balconies you can hang out on, but just have mozzie repellent handy :P

All was good!

This place is a hidden treasure. Situated in a quiet and shady area, just a walk away from main street. The beds are comfortable and the shower was great. The fridge and coffee making facilities were a great asset. Steve is the nicest bloke you'll ever meet.

There is not much to not like, but a mini stove and sink would be perfect even though the dirty dishes are washed and replaced with clean ones.

We loved everything! Steve gave us a lovely warm welcome, he was so friendly & helpful & couldn't do enough for us. Perfect location, & easy walking distance to everything. Our first visit to Margaret River & Steve pointed us in the right direction so that we saw everything we wanted to, & he gave local recommendations that we were grateful for. Accommodation was immaculate & had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nothing.

Great location just a short walk from the main street. The room was extremely clean and tidy, with a renovated bathroom. We had a room closer to the main road but didn't notice the noise much, and it was almost fully blocked out once the window was closed. Steve was fantastic in giving us a quick run down of the region and was able to recommend some spots for us to visit. Would highly recommend!

Steve was really lovely and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. We really liked having some cups, bowls, etc., and the bathroom was really nice. Geographically it's a great location too, with the Margaret River region at the doorstep.

The walls between rooms are a bit thin, which is only a problem if you have noisy neighbours. Also, as the property notes, some rooms are quite close to the highway, which creates a fair bit of noise at night. Bring good earplugs though and you should be okay.
