The staff are always very friendly and helpful, the hotel feels very safe, secure and welcoming

Nothing negative to say about the property or the staff at all, the staff are lovely and the property is immaculate, I just wouldn’t recommend walking into the centre of Pisa by yourself, there are men walking around trying to sell you trinkets that they are carrying on them and they are very aggressive in their approach. I’ve learnt to ignore them but on my last visit one of them went as far as to jab me in the side because I told him to leave us alone when we were walking back to the hotel. There are police patrolling that do move them along occasionally but they seem to linger on the road leading up to the hotel and around the market at the end of the road.

The location was great, only a few minutes walking away from the Leaning Tower and a thirty minute walk from the train station. The rooms were clean and new. The bathrooms were very nice and we got a good garden view out our window. The reception was friendly. The building has a locked gate and fence around it, very safe.

The reception was closed the evening we got there. They sent us access codes instead, which was very helpful and we were still able to get in easily.

The Rif and its staff were excellent. The room was clean and with a view to the hotel's garden which is quite a rare option in this part of Pisa. The breakfast and cleaning services were very good also.

Due to the hotel being an old listed building we could here pretty much everything happening outside our room. The cleaning lady would open a plastic bag at 8 AM in the morning right next to our room The staff would close down the bar at around 22:45 every evening which included banging doors and etc. Luckily our baby slept very well and didn't hear any of the above

The hotel smells fantastic as you walk in, the foyer is immaculate and looks out on to a beautiful garden complete with fountain and terrace to enjoy a quiet drink. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless, great size and high ceilings, beautifully decorated. There is always fresh water and local biscuits to help yourself to in reception. The breakfast was a simple but lovely continental style buffet. We also ate here in the evening and the food was delicious. The location is fantastic. On the right as you walk out the hotel you can see the tower and walk to it in less than 5 minutes. On the left you can take a 3 minute walk to the train station (Pisa San Rossore) which has frequent trains to lots of different places. I can’t believe this hotel is only a 3 star.

We absolutely loved our stay at Riff Hotel. The building is stunning, the rooms were spotless, and the beds were so comfortable we had the best night’s sleep of our trip. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, even though we arrived late, they made us feel at home straight away. Our son was happy playing in the beautiful garden, and other guests were all respectful and calm, which made the atmosphere really pleasant. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, varied, and beautifully presented. You could really taste the care that goes into it. The location was very convenient, easy to reach from the city but with a peaceful, relaxed vibe. The garden and outdoor space gave it a tranquil feel.

The location of The Rift Hotel is absolutely unbeatable — just a 5-minute walk from the Miracle Square and about 20 minutes to the city center. The staff were super accommodating and made me feel very welcome throughout my stay. I also really enjoyed the overall vibe of the hotel; it was calm and peaceful, yet just steps away from the main attractions.

The biggest downside was the lack of noise isolation. I could hear sounds from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which made it a bit hard to relax at times. Additionally, the breakfast was a little underwhelming and could use some improvement in variety and quality.

My partner and I recently spent a few nights at The Rif Boutique Hotel in Pisa, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the quiet, refined atmosphere of the hotel helped us unwind completely after long days of exploring the city. The location is ideal—just a short walk from the Leaning Tower and Pisa’s historic centre - yet tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful. Breakfast each morning was a real treat, with fresh and varied options served in a bright, inviting space. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay, always ready with a smile or helpful recommendation. We liked it so much that we’ve already booked to return next week on our homeward journey—it’s that good. If you're looking for somewhere romantic, comfortable, and full of character, we highly recommend The Rif Boutique Hotel.

The hotel itself it absolutely beautiful. Architecturally a lovely building and inside very tastefully dressed hotel from room to room. We had a surprise upgrade to the most amazing suite with a massive jacuzzi in a room of its own. A huge bed, smells like a spa (in a subtle way). I noticed there were lots of deals online for the suite so try and grab one if you can. However the deluxe room we had booked also looked fantastic. The staff on reception were super helpful with suggestions of restaurants and helping us with parking. (Which is payable but worth it). Breakfast was a good spread although I didn't see hot food, but plenty to choose from anyway. I highly recommend this hotel which is also great value for money!!

Absolutely nothing to fault unless they were able to change the weather we happened to have on our visit! 😁 (Oh but they loaned us an umbrella when we set out to eat!)

The hotel is absolutely stunning from the moment you walk in. We stayed in the suite which is exceptional and quite possibly one of the best hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. The jacuzzi bath is so relaxing as is the complimentary bottle of bubbly! The staff are all incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. Everywhere was as clean as could be and the hotel had a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you The Rif for helping to make our holiday so enjoyable!

There isn’t one bad thing I could say about this hotel.

Our stay at The Rif was a really nice experience, with its secure location, tasteful decor, and welcoming atmosphere. The place looks exactly as in the photos; even better in real life because the interior smells lovely.

Just a couple of things: 1.) One bathrobe has reddish/brownish stains around the cuff; 2.) Only one available power plug, unless you unplug the lamp or air freshener to charge multiple gadgets at the same time. There's no lift in the hotel. We didn't mind though since we were just staying for a night with very few stuff to carry up the stairs.
