Brad and Fujiko were terrific hosts, and 16 Havelock was a lovely home away from home while visiting family in New Plymouth. Breakfast was delicious, with Brad baking fresh bread and cooking eggs from their backyard chickens each morning. It was also a nice time to meet the various other guests. I stayed in a single room, which was perfect for a solo traveller. A highlight was the spectacular views of Mt Taranaki and the ocean from the lounge room and deck.

The breakfast was wonderful and it was so good just getting up and sitting down to a cooked breakfast. It made the erst of the day so much better. The house was well laid out and clean and very comfortable. The hosts were wonderful.

I can't remember if the advert shows that there is a set of stairs to get to the house. Not a problem for most people but good for people to know so if they can't do stairs they know to go elsewhere.

Beautiful home, interesting decor with many creative touches. Very comfortable and exceptionally clean. Garden was colourful and lush! Welcoming and friendly hosts. Fresh eggs from resident happy hens cooked to perfection by Brad. Very interesting breakfast table chat with Brad! Felt very peaceful here and came away refreshed. Very comfortable bed and lovely bedroom! Highly recommend staying here.

Brad and Fujiko were fantastic hosts! Brad was so friendly and helpful, sharing tons of great tips on local sights and activities. His stories and warm hospitality really made the stay feel special. The place itself was clean, comfortable and quiet. Plus, those adorable cats were the perfect touch! I highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a welcoming and enjoyable stay.

Breakfast (egg & sausage) was cooked perfectly each morning. with fresh bread/toast made overnight, was tasty each morning. With fresh coffee/tea. There were fresh nectarines to be enjoyed too. Wonderful views of Mount Taranaki

We did not have any expereinces that were negative. So we do not have much in the line of recomendations or suggestions for improvements. The time we spent at the house was pleasant & conversations enjoable. Thank you

Perfectly located with glorious views to Mt Taranaki. Short trip into town, close to beaches and walks. We couldn’t have asked for more at the end of our North Island trip. Brad was an excellent host with a down to earth, live and let live nature. We totally enjoyed our stay and were kind of sad to leave in the end!!

Absolutely nothing!!

Friendly and good hospitality, clean place, good value and also excellent breakfast! Nice place with a view of the mountain on a good day! Also a good lounge including outdoor seats. Shower with perfect pressure and bath available too - shared with other guests. Just 6 minutes drive away from the main city.

Bed slightly soft for my liking.

Warm welcome. Lovely comfortable room. The shared bathroom was always available and well appointed. We appreciated the chance to make tea and coffee. Brad cooked us a lovely breakfast with eggs fresh from his chickens and homemade bread and a choice of preserves. We love cats so meeting the three cats was a joy for us.

Hosts are amazing, very welcoming and attentive. The house is beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The location is ideal, not too close, so it's nice and quiet but not to far either. About 7 minutes from the city centre. The view from the balcony is lovely. Thanks! We had a great time! Extra points for having such lovely cats ❤️

Breakfast was really good. Fresh bread and fresh eggs from the properties own hens. Adequate street parking available. Good sized room. Very clean and tidy. Very friendly owner who was interesting to chat to. Felt very relaxed and welcoming. Has three cats that are friendly.

Possibly a occupied sign for the toilet door.
