we got one of the front new cabins.. was great little cabin. we briefly stayed coming in late leaving early. easy late check in, keys were left out. beds were comfortable. the rainhead shower was great! for memory there were electric blankets which is a bonus in cold Ararat. overall great cabins, was cheap too!!

the road noise from the trucks was bit of a downer. no fault of the caravan parks obviously. the A/C we quickly turned off as when we turned it on it was like it hadn't been used in awhile and stunk of dust. due to my sons asthma is wasn't worth running.

Our room was close to the lovely swimming pool, especially welcome on a very hot day. A small table and two chairs on the balcony. In the kitchen it was handy to have a full size fridge. A microwave as well as an electric cooktop with oven are there for a longer stay. The compact bathroom featured a rain shower. Television is connected to Ballarat stations. We appreciated the park is small, owner-run and near the main part of town. When wifi access was difficult, the staff helped out with an alternative that worked perfectly. All in all a pleasant overnight stay.

One small complaint - the fan in the bathroom was very noisy.

The staff are friendly and provide great service. The cabins are spacious and well set out, making your stay comfortable. Facilities around the park are fantastic, such as the camp kitchen, which accommodates everyone with not only a kitchen, but also games, books, dvd’s, a lounge area with TV, vending machine and I have to mention the coffee machines. If you’re not up for going out to eat & don’t feel like cooking for a night, there are places that deliver to your cabin in the park. Although we didn’t use them, we were also very impressed with the sites with fences around them, where people can let their pets run around their sites without worrying that they’re going to get out.

We had one of the newer holiday units as pictures. Whilst they are small they are well maintained and cosy. We arrived late on a very cold Friday night and the heater had been turned on prior ensuring we had a warm unit when we arrived. Walking distance into the centre of Ararat. Great camp kitchen for anyone camping.

Double bed was very small and short. Railway line close by so don’t book if the occasional goods train is going to annoy you. (I love the sound of trains.) The Western Hwy is also close by however, I don’t think you can escape the sound of trucks anywhere in Ararat!

The property was clean and tidy. The cabin we stayed in looked as though it had been recently refurbished and the full stove, microwave and bathroom were excellent. Heating was brilliant and the lounge and tv were great. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay for a few days at least. There was also a small swimming pool for warmer months.

Traffic going past on Friday night was very loud as it is close to the main highway from Adelaide but Saturday and Sunday night was much better. B-doubles on Friday night and freight train was loud!

We were welcomed by the staff and made to feel like family, the unit/cabin exceeded our expectations and was well worth the $$'s we paid, it certainly had more benefits that more expensive accommodation in the big cities. We would definitely return if every that way again. Inspection of the caravan park sites, the camp kitchen and amenities block made us feel we would use them when travelling with our caravan.

not used to a glass top table that we could see through!

We had a late check in (2200hrs) which we had notified staff. After hours check-in instructions were easy to understand. On arrival staff had turned our heater on (winter arrival) so the cabin was so warm. It was much appreciated after 7hrs of driving. Cabin was very clean and tidy. Has everything a family requires.

Didn’t bother us, however the main room with king size bed is separated by a curtain only. It may be an issue for some families but did not bother us one bit (2x Adults 3x kids).

The caravan park had everything we needed for a wonderful stay! The dog-friendly cabin was a huge bonus. Supply of towels, coffee/tea/milk and toiletries was a lovely touch. Great to have wifi and TV too (and aircon!). The staff were helpful and friendly. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

If you are a light sleeper, be aware it can be a bit noisy - the highway and train line is very close.

The unit was very comfortable for 3 adults, was well set out and had everything you needed.

Being close to the highway and the railway line made it a bit noisy at times however, ear plugs were provided if you wanted them.

Well maintained, clean rooms and facilities. Matt and Kaylene were great hosts, provided good info about things to do in Ararat and halls Gap. Conveniently located just off of the city, yet close enough to market, Woolies etc.

It would have been nice if the location directly linked to some trails etc. Play areas for kids could be added to, like a jumping pillow, just the trampoline ends up having a bit of wait time.
