Breakfast included with a good choice of hot food. We decided to have dinner at the hotel and altho not a huge choice the food was excellent and prices fair. Hotel was immaculately clean and only a 10 minute walk to the town centre.

I had a small single room which was fine but really could have done with a chair , a wall light over the bed and a larger duvet. As a largish person i find single duvets adequate for children but too small for me. Fortunately in the wardrobe I found a lovely soft blanket that I used to secure the duvet from sliding off. There was also a small electric heater, fan and hairdryer .

We couldn't believe all the beautiful details in the room, it was pristine and everything had been thought out carefully and done with care. It was exceptionally clean. Beautiful. The breakfast was cooked to order, fresh and the fruit cups were freshly cut fruit. The cooked breakfast was cooked to order. Such care taken. Afterwards, we had a meeting and they let us sit in the garden to have the meeting or in the breakfast room after our check out, which was very kind. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Perfect and very good value for money.

Excellent breakfast. Comfortable room, great staff, very welcoming and excellent value for money. The property is exceptionally clean throughout and a credit to the owner and their team. I honestly cannot find fault with the Mansfield Lodge Hotel. Everything was carefully thought out and they have considered guest's needs, - extra pillows and blankets in the room, the provision of a desk fan for when it's warm, and even an extra heater if you should feel cold. Loads of power outlets, and numerous USB ports for charging your devices.

This was a lovely hotel. Big old building, with great ceiling height, we had a lovely bay window, in a big airy room. Plenty of storage, table, chairs and a really comfy bed. Everything you need for your stay. The breakfast was delicious. great choice. We had a bowl of fruit with yoghurt and decided to have a bacon sandwich instead of a full English. I can honestly say the bacon was cooked just right and the soft brown bread was perfect. Lovely hosts/staff. Highly recommend.

I think the only difficulty is trying to put modern facilities in a beautiful traditional room. The on-suite was a bit tight, but once we got used to the rolling movement you have to make around the door to get in and close it, all good. The modern headboard side table combo was very uncomfortable when sitting up in bed, as it jutted out into the back of your head. It would have looked and felt so much better with a standard padded headboard and tiny side tables.

From the moment we arrived everything was spot on. We were welcomed by a very friendly and helpful man who showed us to a very clean warm room. We asked if the room could be ready early as we were attendung a weddind at the near by Carr Bank wedding venue this was also no trouble. T he breakfast on the morning after was exceptional freshly cooked breakfast served hot just what you need for the day ahead

A great room for the night! The facilities were lovely, with thoughtful extra touches that made our stay really comfortable. Although we couldn’t stay for the included breakfast due to an early checkout, the staff kindly prepared a takeaway bag for us, including a bacon sandwich and a few other treats. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our stay even more memorable!

It was extremely clean and comfortable. It didn’t feel sterile, more homely and comfortable. Although situated on a main road it was very quiet and I slept amazing, the rooms are a lovely size and the staff couldn’t have been any kinder or more tending.

The only point I can say is that it’s not extremely disability friendly and doesn’t offer a lift or anything for guests who need some assistance, I can understand this however as it’s a small hotel.

Early check in at my request at no extra charge, room was nicely decorated and exceptionally clean. It has good facilities with everything you could need, Breakfast was beautiful really great quality ingredients. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to my friends. We had a very relaxing stay . Thank you for being so accommodating with early check in.

Everything was perfect

Very Friendly staff, bed was comfy, had a personal touch, went out of there way to accommodate us earlier than usual, as we had a wedding to attend. The place looked lovely.

Our room was on the main road side and as it was hot we had the windows open so there was quite a bit of noise from the road. But we didn't realise there was a fan we could have used.

It was absolutely spotless and the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Bed was comfortable and the room was large with a high ceiling. Lots of thoughtful little touches around the place that made all the difference.

The decor is slightly dated, but I know what an expensive nightmare removing textured walls is, so I don’t blame them for not bothering!
