This was an incredible bed-and-breakfast. The staff treated us like royalty and had a fire in the fireplace when we entered our room. It was so cozy and inviting. The food was incredible as well!
I really can’t say anything bad about this property. There were a couple things that perhaps they could attend to with maintenance but nothing that was too big of a deal. Cushions could’ve been put onto the chairs that are outside and there was a large bee nest on the peak of the garage. None of these things affected us though and for all the good at this property it’s hardly worth talking about anything negative.

The accommodation was just what we were looking for. The hospitality and welcome was exceptional. We were sorry we weren’t able to stay for breakfast as we had to leave earlier than 9am but thank you so much for the lovely goody bag (lovely muffins) that we took with us along with some freshly brewed coffee in a travel cup. Everything at The Inn has been carefully thought out to make customers feel welcome.
I’m struggling to think of what could have been better as it was at a standard expected for what we paid and as mentioned above thought had been put into a lot of things to make you feel welcomed. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Thank you!

Very cosy and homely; beautiful garden and peaceful setting for a good night’s rest; we loved the communal breakfast dining and met some lovely people during our stay; the afternoon wine and snacks was great (such good wine choices!); Wendy is an amazing and welcoming hostess
Breakfast choice was limited and not to our taste (very sweet and high calorie)

Somehow I booked my reservation for 2025 and not 2024. Old Monterey Inn was able to accommodate us. Wendy, running the inn, was kind in our situation. I would stay again. Great location, romantic indoors and outdoors. Breakfast was wonderful. Loved talking without guests.

Some of breakfasts were great, some were ok
Parking was tough Landscape needs help Pots & lighting need attention More windows need screens Best for the staff NOT to chastise us when we present to the dining for breakfast, as opposed to taking a tray to our room, for not informing our intentions re: where breakfast would be served. Since, we were not asked, nor was there anyone to inform the previous day, we surmised it best to assumed breakfast would be in the Dining room. The entire table was taken aback at the questioning that ensued re: our breakfast.

Beautiful, quaint bed and breakfast, beautiful grounds, delicious breakfast. Loved the cozy room with fireplace and enjoyed the jacuzzi.
Did not see mention that the Inn only served vegetarian cuisine. It worked out just fine but that would have been helpful info.

I thought the breakfast was delicious and they were so accommodating when I asked for an alternate breakfast. Wendy is such a kind and beautiful person!!
I just wished I had a better place to hang my comforter. With it being the summer months it's a little warmer. So maybe offer a quilt because it's not too heavy. But even Wendy the innkeeper advised she planned on trying to get drawers for under the bed to offer extra storage space.
