Mario exceeded our expectations in every respect. Before we even arrived his hospitality was exceptional. Mario took careful note of any allergies and met us when we arrived. As soon as we arrived, he gave us a map and personalized recommendations after getting to know us. Breakfast was perfect every day. The room was immaculate. The bed was comfortable. The location was perfect. It was everything we could have asked for and more. Mario is a polyglot and we watched him easily switch languages based on his guests’ origin. Further, Mario went above and beyond when my husband had a minor medical emergency and he directed us to the best and most convenient care. I would recommend Art de Séjour to anyone visiting Brussels. You will not find anywhere more welcoming.

Everything. Visited Brussels with my aunt 15th to 18th March. We were dropped of by taxi and 1st impression of the street was not great, looked dull. However, no 12 stood out by a lovely bright red door. Mario was there to greet us (we were late due to long queues for the buses taking you from Charleroi to Brussels) The entrance hall was bright, clean, and looked newly decorated, although the whole place is like this and is down to regular maintenance/decorating/cleaning. We went into dining room and Mario checked us in and then produced a map which he patiently went through with us, showing us his recommendations as well as answering our questions. We had room 1 on first floor, there is a staircase and a small lift. The door opens onto a huge entrance area, it is bright, nicely lit, again immaculately clean and decorated, with a huge mirror, spacious wardrobes, extra bedding, fridge (which contains complimentary waters and soft drinks) and a coffee machine. Coffee pods/teabags/biscuits/dusted chocolates replenished daily. The bath is huge too, with a lovely big walk-in shower, with great pressure. L’occitane toiletries provided, fluffy white towels, replaced daily if needed, and a welcome addition of bathrobes. Hairdryer located in shelf under sink. The bedroom also generous sized, décor is classy and again immaculate. Big bed, extremely comfortable mattress/pillows. Leather roomy armchair. There is a feature fireplace, desk and chair, Apple Mac, TV, dimmer switch lights. We had two floor to ceiling windows and 2 little balconies. Breakfast was superb. Mario is chef/waiter and bottle washer. You can ask for whatever you want. We had fresh fruit/granola/yoghurt, hot croissants every day, and some days scrambled eggs/cheese/ham. We also received a different flavour smoothie shot each morning. Everything is beautifully presented; Mario makes little flowers/decorations out of fruits/salad...

Liked everything, even weather was kind

This bed and breakfast is spacious, clean, comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious! Mario, the owner, was extremely kind and welcoming and provided us with a map, activity suggestions, and restaurant suggestions when we arrived. The location is very central so it’s easy to walk around the city and also close to the metro which is the fastest/easiest way to get to the train station. The shower had great water pressure and the room was very spacious (each room takes up a whole floor). I also love that it’s an adults only property! Would highly recommend!

Mario is the HOST WITH THE MOST..What a fabulous place. Mario meets and greets you, shows you a map where to visit, places to eat etc... I was in room 3,its like an apartment, so big and has everything you could possibly need., fridge stocked with minerals, water and milk for tea and some treats!! Very comfortable bed, beautiful ensuite with fluffy towels!! Great location, so near everything,quite at night, Breakfast is made especially for you, anything you need,it's no bother to Mario. He's the sweetest man and is so dedicated to making everyone feel so welcome. Wish I could have stayed longer😊Thank you Mario.... I give you 20 out of 10....

Art de Sejour is intimate and elegant. Mario is a welcoming and charming host who provides everything a guest needs in a non-intrusive manner. His rooms are impressive, decorated artfully and comfortably, even luxuriously. The mattress and bedding and the bathroom’s modern walk in shower make for true comfort. There are bathrobes, L’Occitaine bath products, a desk with a Mac, plenty of outlets, storage and shelving. He provides free of charge amenities, including a fridge stocked with non-alcoholic beverages, a Nespresso coffee and tea maker, cookies and chocolates. He makes a delicious made to order breakfast with to die for baked goods. He is a superior host operating a beautiful property.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Art de Sejour - B&B , and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The location is excellent, situated in a safe area with all the major attractions within walking distance. Everything is conveniently close, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The Art de Sejour - B&B itself is impeccably clean and beautifully maintained, with every detail meticulously thought out. Mario, the host, is simply amazing – incredibly approachable and responsive. He made us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. The breakfasts were delicious and prepared with exceptional attention to detail. Mario also took care to create a pleasant atmosphere during meals, with relaxing music playing in the background. This elegant place is a true gem, and every aspect is carefully considered to ensure a delightful stay. We will definitely return and highly recommend it to everyone. Having traveled extensively and experienced many apartments and hotels , I can confidently say that this place ranks among the best. It combines comfort and excellent service in a way that ensures guests feel valued and well-cared for. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay.

This is the first time I have stayed at Art de Sejour and I am confident I will come back to enjoy Mario’s hospitality and the lovely place he has created. The room we stayed in covered an entire floor and therefore, very spacious for European accommodations. The bed was superbly comfortable and super high thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. There is a Nespresso machine with a variety of coffee pods and teas that come with chocolate almonds on the side. A carton of milk plus soft beverages in the mini bar are included in the room price. The bathroom has a walk-in shower that had the rainforest (overhead) shower head. The selection of products from L’Occitane provided in the bathroom puts most 5-star hotels to shame (the pocket-size Kleenex is very thoughtful). The breakfast included in our stay was eggs-any-style served with ham/cheese/smoked salmon and a generous bread basket with artisan breads and four croissants & jams & butter. The location is just around the corner from a metro station and a short drive away from Bruxelles Midi station (Uber cost was about 9 euros at the time of our stay). Various landmarks are within easy walking distance and there are lots of shops & supermarkets for anything you may need.

It will be difficult to enjoy other B&Bs after the amazing stay we had at Art de Sejour :)

Exceptional service. I am blown away. I have travelled extensively as a solo female, and I can honestly say that I have never felt as looked after as I was by this hotel. Mario went way above and beyond, and the whole stay totally exceeded my every expectation. From the moment I booked, right through to my departure, Mario was attentive, professional and welcoming. He emailed before my stay to enquire about my check-in time, and emailed again to check I had arrived home safely. I had a few issues with my bank card being blocked while I was away, and was therefore unable to use my Uber app which was stressful when I was trying to book a taxi to the station so I could catch the bus to the airport at 2:30am. Mario very kindly booked me an Uber from his account, and even waited up until my departure at 2:30am to help with my cases and ensure I got my taxi safely! This, to me, is world class service, and as a solo female traveller, I could not be more grateful to Mario for making what was potentially a very stressful situation so seamless. I just knew from the moment I arrived and met Mario’s gorgeous dogs that I was going to feel very at home there, and I was right! The whole hotel is just bursting with character and is so tastefully and classily decorated. I was lucky enough to be given Room One, which took my breath away! It was stunning, and so spacious. I even had a balcony! Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, with lots of variety. The hotel is perfectly located and within walking distance of the city’s major attractions, including the Grand Place. I can’t recommend Art de Sejour enough.

We enjoyed every second of it. The rooms are huge, the positions is excelent, the host was very open and literally helped us to make the best out of our trip by giving us suggestions regarding what we should see, wheee are the best places to eat (trust him, you will not regret it). The building has a Nothing Hill vibe which is amazing, the breakfast is so good. We received an umbrella to use on rainy days free of charge for our stay, we really appreciate the thought. Everything is new and “Monica clean”. You also have a coffee machine and iMac, amazing bathroom, very comfortable bed. You will not 3 staying here.

We liked everything, we do hope to return here someday although we understand children are not allowed so we shall be back very soon or in 18 years from now :)

The property is spotless, in a very good location for exploring the centre of Brussels on foot. Our room was large, quiet, clean and comfortable, and we were met by the owner on our (very early) arrival and he was happy to take in our bags and look after them until the room was ready. He provided us with a map and showed us how to get around the city, how to get to the best attractions, and provided excellent recommendations for bars and restaurants. Once the room was ready he texted us and we returned to find our bags already in the room. Breakfast can only be described as excellent. We were very happy with our stay and would not hesitate to return.
