Fantastic location, friendly staff - first night - given a room at the back, which was a strange shape, and felt basic - with no pictures on the walls etc, and fire-escape ladders outside up to the window, and no view other than inner courtyard, but told on arrival that we would be moved to a room overlooking La Grande Place for our 2nd night. That room was bigger, had a large picture on the wall behind the beds and had a great view from the windows, as well as large comfortable seats. The beds in both rooms were very comfortable, and the rooms were clean, a good temperature and the shower good.
Breakfast was good and at a restaurant on the other side of La Place. Day 1, sat inside and the staff were rude and there was no choice or explanation - we were brought a set breakfast, of omlette with a side of cheese and ham - without being asked if we were vegetarian. Day 2 - same breakfast, but (different) friendly staff, who asked what we wanted and we sat out in the sunshine - quite a different experience in the same place!

The location was fantastic. It was right at the main Plaza, the Grote Markt. We had a superb view of the the plaza and the Town hall from our room. (see the photo we took) It was about only 300m from the central train staion, but the cobbled streets made pulling suitcases difficult. There was an elevator! Mr Said, the person in charge was very nice and friendly. He allowed us to check out slightly later and put our bags in their maintenance room after check out. The rooms very very large with good wifi. Breakfast was excellent. It was in a restaurant across the plaza and you have a great view of the plaza while having your full breakfast.
It was not a hotel per say.... there was no proper lobby, just a reception desk. I was a bit confused in the beginning. The room was not spotlessly clean but clean enough. When you open the window, insects will fly into the room.... surprising, the insects left in the evening. I wish there was a proper balcony where you can watch the plaza comfortably.

Excellent welcome at reception upon arrival, including overview of all the necessities. Very friendly and convivial staff throughout the stay. Excellent location. No issue with noise from Grande Place in general but secondary double glass glazing very effective if window shut. Fantastic views from “room with view” option. Bedroom has all the basics and whilst not expected to be top notch, it was certainly adequate. Included Breakfast served in cafe bar at opposite end of Grand Place square made for a great start to the day.
Room was fine. Bathroom door lock needs a fix but no big deal.

We were given an exceptionally friendly welcome and allowed to use our room well ahead of time. The room was large and airy and had a fabulous view over the square. We loved it. We let ourselves in after hours and that all worked well.

This hotel is really the heart of Brussels! Usually I don’t write reviews but the hotel manager, Mr Said was so nice to help us out especially knowing that we have many luggages with a 6 months old baby. The hotel was really comfortable and we could admire the Grand Place view from our hotel window all day! We were there during the Christmas period so there were light show at night every 30mins. Mr Said even provided us with a comfortable baby cot for our baby and he loves it so much. The shower was hot, the room is clean. And not forgetting the breakfast, it is the perfect dreamy breakfast for us. The breakfast is just across the hotel in a restaurant. The ambience is really spot on and the food was really what a true breakfast should taste like every single morning. This really completed our Brussels trip! Thank you Mr Said!
The stairs to hotel was abit of an issue but their staff could help you out if there is need. This is a good sacrifice even for us. There is really nothing much to complain about. My only regret is that we should have stayed longer 😄

Location was the best, breakfast was good, the brekfastrestaurant was on the other side of the placa and it was very cosy. It was great to watch the lightshow from your own room every night. The hotel owner was very lovely and helpful and always there when needed. Everything is near, shops, train, restaurants, Christmasmarkets. Loved this place.
Cause the hotel is in the center of everything it can get quite noisy during the weekendnights, at least now on Christmasmarkettime. Remember to take earplugs, with those there is no problem.

Staying in this place truly gives you full experience of Brussels Grand place. You see the square, and can open the window, just as it is advertised in the pictures. You have breakfast in cafe in the same square, so you keep enjoying the view. Breakfast is already preplanned for you, and you get all what you need. Even though you are above the bars, it is not so noisy, because they are not open all night long and the isolation is quite well. Staff is nice and helpful.
People who are choosing this hotel should not forget that it is old building, so it will be not the same comfort level as you would expect in a newly build hotel. For those who finds important for the reception to be there 24/7, need to say that there is no reception at night. But you get all keys and info once you arrive, so it's no problem. Those who need to leave early and want to have a breakfast, have in mind that it's a cafe, and it opens at 8:00.

The view from a square facing room was unbeatable - as good a view as you will get anywhere. The staff member was always on hand and extremely helpful. The voucher provided for breakfast in the cafe across the square was excellent. The only downsides was it took us a while to find the hotel but that was my fault as they had sent photos but I hadn't opened the email before arriving. The decor in the entrance area was very dated and the room needed a fridge, a safe, a lick of paint and a refurbished bathroom.

The location could not get any better, we were on the 3rd floor of 4 with a view of the courtyard. The beds were very comfortable and the room adequately spacious. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. The hot breakfast was enough to get your day going with a skip in your step. Ask for room 32 for the view.
The hotel decor inside could use a womens touch but who goes to Brussels for the room decor 🤔. No place to put your toiletries in the bathroom, we hung our 2 1 gallon baggies on the inside doorknob after making a hole in them. Breakfast is across the courtyard at an adorable Cafe, what they didn't explain was it is a set breakfast that is included, you get coffee, orange juice, a basket of bread and scrambled eggs with 2 pieces of yummy cheese and ham. If you want to order from the menu you pay. I just thought it was confusing.

The location of the hotel was excellent being situated directly on Grand Place. Although a busy location this was not noticeable within our room and the view of the square and buildings was amazing. The staff we encountered were friendly and able to advise us on our trip and things to see and do. Breakfast is provided at a restaurant on the opposite side of the square and again this was excellent and good value for money. I would definitely recommend the hotel which is also well located for public transport.
The rooms are quite sparse, although this didn't really bother us so much.
