We stayed in the 1-bedroom suite with the private terrace. It was an absolutely beautiful space. The living area was gorgeous and had 2 sleeper sofas. The staircase up to the bedroom was just stunning in its old-world charm. The bedroom was comfortable, and the bathroom was large with plenty of counter space and an electrical outlet (which is not always a guarantee in Europe). The location is perfect - just a couple of minutes walk from the train station, and about 5 minutes from the Grand Place. The only challenge was the AC. The unit upstairs worked very well, but the unit downstairs was broken, and it was a really warm day. We requested a fan for the room, and they brought one to us. With the window open and the fan on, my friend was very comfortable sleeping in that space.

Not a dislike, so much as a disclosure for other travelers. To reach the room, you take the elevator up, and then have to climb 2 additional sets of stairs (with 5-10 steps each). Then once inside the suite, there is a wooden spiral staircase that leads up to the bedroom and only bathroom in the suite. It was a bit to manage with luggage, but not terrible. My friend having to walk through my bedroom in the middle of the night to use the bathroom wasn't ideal, but it also wasn't a big deal for us. Might not be as desirable for others. Also the stairs could pose an issue for people with mobility challenges.

The design was great and the suites named after famous Belgian painters were certainly a nice touch. The room we stayed in was very spacious, authentic and the same time very fresh with minimal signs of wear and tear. Despite having a very boutique feel the hotel still offered such facilities like a small gym with an elliptical and running mill as well as some light weights.

Only if I’m being very scrupulous, the hotel felt slightly understaffed and a simple request like bringing an extra set of shower gel and shampoo took half an hour to fulfil. Me and my wife went out so we didn’t feel the delay, but should we have needed it quickly that could have been an issue.

The 17th century property built for the Spanish Ambassador was beautiful and very high class. The rooms had lots of character and variety. You couldn't find a better location: literally steps from the train station and right in the center of old town, it was a 5 min walk or less to anything you might want to see or do.

Not really a dislike, just a warning: because of the age and change of use of the property, there is a high degree of variation in the rooms. It's not like ordering a bank of idential rooms from an American mega-hotel. Breakfasts were fairly high priced, so we dined out, but ended up paying about the same.

The lobby is beautiful. The staff are agreeable and helpful. The location was fantastic.

The room we were in could use some freshening up. It was clean but some minor repairs were required in some areas if you pay attention to details.

The location is excellent. Almost right next to Central Station. Very unique place with lots of character. The four poster bed was something to talk about.

Internet connection was not as good.I had difficulty connecting the first night. But afterwards it was resolved. Since it's an old building, plugging in is not as comfortable.

The Location was excellent! So close to the train station we didn't need a taxi :) The room was enormous and even had a love seat for relaxing on. All the "old town" was within easy walking distance, yet you didn't hear any street noise. The bed was very comfortable. We did not take the hotel breakfast (too expensive for what we eat) however, a Waffle House was 1 block away that was delightful. Highly recommend this hotel!!!!

Large, comfortable, bright, super clean rooms. Centrally located, but no noise. I was at the new wing, and everything was perfectly functional. Important for business travelers: ironing facility inside.

Not that I did not like to the point of reducing the overall rating, but the breakfast could be slightly more versatile, tea a bit better. The quality of food was good, but of rather limited options. It could be that not many guests opt for the breakfast, so it's pointless to have more food prepared and available. I did love yogurt in small jars; it was very tasty.

Super quiet in a very central location. Well maintained and attractive hotel. Facilities and furnishings were tasteful and good quality. Staff were very helpful. Very convenient to walk to Central Station.

Junior suite was located on top floor/original attic space which made for some tricky issues like steep stairs into area. The bathroom had no shower and awkward bath arrangement as it had steep sloping ceiling above. Additional space in dining area could have been better thought through as was a pretty soulless redundant space with table and chairs.

This hotel has a great location for visiting the primary sites of interests and is very close to the train station. The hotel has a lovely, charming historic vibe in its common areas. The room in which I stayed was very large by European hotel standards with a huge bathroom and lots of closet/storage space. The linens were lovely. The staff were very kind and helpful.

My room was located at the top of staircase with no lighting outside when leaving (the automatic lighting did not turn on until you descended the first set of stairs). I had to use my phone flashlight when leaving the room when it was dark. The internet connection was not great in my room. I had a hard time getting work done with the signal strength available. The bed in my room was not terribly comfortable. The mattress topper was a bit lumpy. The lighting was very dim.
