We stayed in the 1-bedroom suite with the private terrace. It was an absolutely beautiful space. The living area was gorgeous and had 2 sleeper sofas. The staircase up to the bedroom was just stunning in its old-world charm. The bedroom was comfortable, and the bathroom was large with plenty of counter space and an electrical outlet (which is not always a guarantee in Europe). The location is perfect - just a couple of minutes walk from the train station, and about 5 minutes from the Grand Place. The only challenge was the AC. The unit upstairs worked very well, but the unit downstairs was broken, and it was a really warm day. We requested a fan for the room, and they brought one to us. With the window open and the fan on, my friend was very comfortable sleeping in that space.

Not a dislike, so much as a disclosure for other travelers. To reach the room, you take the elevator up, and then have to climb 2 additional sets of stairs (with 5-10 steps each). Then once inside the suite, there is a wooden spiral staircase that leads up to the bedroom and only bathroom in the suite. It was a bit to manage with luggage, but not terrible. My friend having to walk through my bedroom in the middle of the night to use the bathroom wasn't ideal, but it also wasn't a big deal for us. Might not be as desirable for others. Also the stairs could pose an issue for people with mobility challenges.

The lobby is beautiful. The staff are agreeable and helpful. The location was fantastic.

The room we were in could use some freshening up. It was clean but some minor repairs were required in some areas if you pay attention to details.

The location is excellent. Almost right next to Central Station. Very unique place with lots of character. The four poster bed was something to talk about.

Internet connection was not as good.I had difficulty connecting the first night. But afterwards it was resolved. Since it's an old building, plugging in is not as comfortable.

The Location was excellent! So close to the train station we didn't need a taxi :) The room was enormous and even had a love seat for relaxing on. All the "old town" was within easy walking distance, yet you didn't hear any street noise. The bed was very comfortable. We did not take the hotel breakfast (too expensive for what we eat) however, a Waffle House was 1 block away that was delightful. Highly recommend this hotel!!!!

Large, comfortable, bright, super clean rooms. Centrally located, but no noise. I was at the new wing, and everything was perfectly functional. Important for business travelers: ironing facility inside.

Not that I did not like to the point of reducing the overall rating, but the breakfast could be slightly more versatile, tea a bit better. The quality of food was good, but of rather limited options. It could be that not many guests opt for the breakfast, so it's pointless to have more food prepared and available. I did love yogurt in small jars; it was very tasty.

We loved the big room. It’s in an amazing location and a neat old building.

They charge you for everything — minibar, breakfast pretty expensive. There is a coffee and tea maker but only one tea bag/coffee pod per person per day so skimpy.

This hotel has a great location for visiting the primary sites of interests and is very close to the train station. The hotel has a lovely, charming historic vibe in its common areas. The room in which I stayed was very large by European hotel standards with a huge bathroom and lots of closet/storage space. The linens were lovely. The staff were very kind and helpful.

My room was located at the top of staircase with no lighting outside when leaving (the automatic lighting did not turn on until you descended the first set of stairs). I had to use my phone flashlight when leaving the room when it was dark. The internet connection was not great in my room. I had a hard time getting work done with the signal strength available. The bed in my room was not terribly comfortable. The mattress topper was a bit lumpy. The lighting was very dim.

Beautiful hotel in the most central location, but a haven from the hustle and bustle of the city. We loved this hotel, beautifully appointed, you step into the hotel and feel relaxed and cared for. The rooms are extremely well set out, great beds, large luxurious bathrooms. Everything is clean and fresh. Lots of sitting areas for guests away from the front lobby area, a nice courtyard to relax in. We were travelling by train so it's proximity to the station was welcome. Our stay was so comfortable and we would definitely stay again.

We had a junior suite with a large bed and a « garden view ». There’s no garden but a small balcony with views out on to a concrete courtyard and office buildings and a table and chairs. There was a view of the spire of the magnificent town hall. We weren’t bothered by the lack of garden as the room was extremely comfortable, spacious and quiet. We have travelled extensively for thirty years and now appreciate comfort, a good bed and bedding, good lighting, good bathroom etc. We were very happy with everything. The check in was quick and efficient and the location is unparalleled. There were around eight or so stairs to the room from the lift which was a bit of a pain with suitcases etc and three stairs to the bathroom from within the suite. Neither of these things was a problem for us. Highly recommend this property.
