Our stay at Hotel La Perla was truly exceptional. We were very pleased with the service – all the staff were smiling, helpful, and friendly. You could always count on them for support, whether it was ordering a taxi or assisting with small requests. We especially appreciated the room change from a terrace to a balcony on the day of our arrival – the staff really did their best to make sure we were comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious – every day there was a wide selection of both hot and cold dishes, as well as fresh fruit and cakes. It’s clear that the family running the hotel puts a lot of heart into the place and takes great care of both the facilities and the guests’ comfort. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and its location with a view of the lake creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It’s a place where quiet is respected and you can truly unwind. The only downside is the 20-minute uphill walk to the hotel, which might be challenging for someone with mobility issues. Luckily, there’s always the option of taking a taxi ( 20 euros), and the stunning lake view definitely makes it worth it.

Location, room with a view, staff was OUTSTANDING! Dinner and breakfast and drinks far exceeded our expectations. We shall be telling others about this little gem of a place. Loved that it was off the beaten path, quiet and peaceful. View was amazing. We just returned from traveling for 3 weeks all over Europe and this place was our favorite! Loved the little quaint charming path to walk down to village! Try the lasagna....excellent!

If weather isn't great, you'll need a taxi to get down to village if you you have no car. However, the staff is more than willing to organize a taxi service and take care of any guest needs with a cheerful, sweet attitude.

A beautiful hotel where you really feel at ease, comfortable and very well looked after. We’ve stayed in 5* hotels that weren’t nearly as good. We had a fantastic room and our large, very private, terrace had fabulous views of Lake Como. We had a table and chairs and 4 sun beds, The suite had a bedroom and a seating area (sofa would convert into a bed for children) where we could relax. It was also very close to the pool so we could use our own sun beds and just pop over for a dip! The hotel felt very secure, as did the car parking. We were able to really relax and do things at our own pace. The staff were amazing. Very friendly, helpful and kind. They went over and beyond to ensure you had a wonderful time and we did, so much so that we stayed an extra night (in a much smaller room) and we are planning to return with friends later in the year! Very good breakfast and delicious light meals available in the evening. Thank you, La Perla, for a great stay!

You need your car to get to the town - but there are taxis available!

The hotel was absolutely stunning, our bedroom looked over the incredible views of the lake, the swimming pool was beautiful and the view from breakfast/dinner was lovely. Everything was fresh, clean and felt very family ran. All staff members were incredibly friendly and kind. They made our stay even better. Although the food menu was small all of it was delicious and tasted fresh!

The only thing that we disliked was the walk up to the hill to the hotel from the ferry port which is nothing the hotel can change!

- The hotel is a great base for exploring Lake Como's tourist spots, especially if you have a car. - Breakfast is excellent here, featuring fresh slices, tasty bacon pancakes, and more. It's the best breakfast we've had among similar-priced hotels. - There's free parking, including a cool underground option which is great during hot weather. - Extremely friendly staff. You can really feel the Italian hospitality and care. - The rooms are very clean and offer amazing views (mine had a lake view and a balcony).

Some tourists might like a free bottle of clean water as a nice touch (many do). However, you can always buy one at the bar without any trouble. It's fair to say that the hotel is better suited for guests with cars.

The staff was welcoming, kind, full of helpful local information (such as where to park for free in the nearby towns), friendly and so attentive to every detail! They spoke at least four different languages, so communication was not an obstacle! The view was simply incredible! In the evening we were able to enjoy a tasty, calm, wonderfully Italian dinner at a very reasonable cost! The garage parking was great in case of bad weather or just simply for loading and unloading the car with direct access into the hotel. The buffet breakfast was beautiful and was constantly refreshed as guests trickled down during the breakfast hours. There were pastries, cereal, boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, fresh fruit, toast, coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, meat, cheese, rolls and a choice of bread. Since this is a family owned hotel, they strive to please the guests and the standard of cleanliness, order and beauty are above reproach.

We absolutely loved this hotel! Our room was gorgeous with a fabulous view of the lake (as on the booking). The hotel was immaculate, newly decorated everywhere. Beautiful terrace with amazing views. Communal areas beautifully kept & everywhere so clean. Gardens gorgeous. Free parking. Easy to walk down to the lake - although very hot. And the staff were the friendliest, most kind, helpful, delightful people - just couldn’t do enough to help you & nothing was too much.

We had a really wonderful holiday in Tremezzo it was a great location for getting around Lake Como and staying at Hotel La Perla made it particularly special. The family running the hotel were superb. They were extremely welcoming and went above and beyond to help us with travel tips, directions, restaurants, well, everything. Nothing was too much trouble. Always smiling and creating the loveliest atmosphere. The location of the hotel is perfect and it is true that the rooms have a superb lake and mountain view. So too did the dining area. Our room was delightful and we had not just a balcony but a patio with table, chairs and sun lounger! The room and in fact all of the hotel was spotlessly clean and very attractively decorated. The pool was very pleasant and again surrounded by the fantastic views. The breakfasts were delicious with plenty to choose from and made most enjoyable by our charming hosts. We would highly recommend this hotel and staff and will certainly visit again! Grazie mille!

There was nothing at all to dislike

We loved our stay at Hotel La Perla! Everything was clean and the hotel staff went over and above to accommodate our needs. What made it special was that it’s a family run hotel and you can really see how much they care about their guests and are attentive and helpful, they were really lovely people. We had questions around ferry times and booked cabs with the staff which was very helpful. The food and aperol spritz were nice.

From arrival to departure it was a delight. Welcoming multi lingual staff. Comfortable bedroom with lovely terrace and lake view. Breakfast had a good choice. Nothing was too much trouble!

Pillows were a little too hard for our personal taste. Wifi tends to jump in and out,. This is a delightful hotel but you do need a car to access the village and surrounding area due to being on a steep hill.
