This little hotel is a hidden gem; a family run environment where there is genuine love put into the rooms, the food, the garden, pool and overall environment. It is like stepping in to a fairytale and I could not get enough pictures of the gorgeous property! I stayed in the Annex - the upper level which has a prime view of the lake. It was a gorgeous stay. Initially we were put in the lower annex but requested the upper. While the lower annex has a lake view, there is a topiary in front as well as the pool/garden which are all lovely, but if you are imagining throwing open the glass doors to a lake view, the lower annex is a different experience - better for those who want privacy. The owners were able to accommodate my request to move to the upper annex, and I enjoyed every minute of staring at the gorgeous lake from my balcony, which made my 50th birthday and the long travel to get there all worthwhile! I can't say enough good things about the breakfast, and we also had dinner there one night which was so lovely. I hope to be back one day!

An absolutely beautiful hotel! We loved everything…the room was incredible, the views are stunning, everything is immaculately clean and the staff are wonderful. Breakfast every morning was perfect. We had dinner one night and it was delicious. And a digestif on the terrace overlooking the lake was the perfect end to any day. The location is amazing, a very short walk to the ferry or local restaurants. We really loved everything about our stay, we will definitely be back and we 100% recommend a stay here.

There is nothing not to like, everything was perfect!

The hotel offers you the comfort you are looking for at Lake Como; the hotel (design wise) brings you back in time - it’s classy and comfortable. Perfect for people who are looking for a bit of (basic) luxury and rest where hotel staff pay attention to their guests. The bedroom is quite basic with a great AC and average sized bath room. Because of the size of the hotel the staff is able to be very hospitable. The pool is a big plus!

No elevator available, it’s not a big thing but it would have been a plus. The hotel only offers dinner on certain days which can be challenging when you don’t feel to go out, luckily there are plenty of restaurants on a walking distance.

The staff were exceptional - very helpful and even offered us some lasagna one night when my husband was struck down by allergies and we couldn't go out for dinner. The location was perfect for us - plenty of places to walk to and a gorgeous view. We didn't want to be closer to Como as the views across the lake further down are more populated. There is an amazing roof terrace too. And the wifi worked really well.

Nothing to do with the hotel, but the buses are a little erratic in their time-keeping. The stop is very handy to the hotel, but make sure you're not in hurry to reach your destination.

Everything, this is a beautiful small and quiet option to a large costly villa. the Family run business and all the staff were so very friendly and helpful. They helped me and my brother find somewhere to have a haircut before we were off to a wedding. The view is stunning the rooms are great, and the facilities are great, - was close to ferry and bus for day travel, we had the most wonderful stay.

If you're not getting a private transfer, it can be a little difficult to get to by public transport, but we manged fine, probably easier to arrange with the hotel a transfer.

Absolutely the best hotel of our trip! Hotel Villa Marie is a truly special place – beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm. We stayed in the spacious Blue Suite with a lovely balcony and breathtaking lake view. The hosts are simply amazing – always smiling, kind, and ready to help with anything. They made us feel completely at home. Even when we had a medical emergency early in the morning, the owner helped us without hesitation. Everything was perfect – the room, the view, the atmosphere, and above all, the people. Highly, highly recommended! We'd love to come back.

Villa Marie was just exceptional. I am also so glad I decided to stay in Tremezzo. The property is lake front, so you get views of the breathtaking mountains wherever you are. The entrance, pool area, bar/lounge, and breakfast sun room are just magical. Vibrant, comfortable, well equipped. The staff are just phenomenal— equally professional, accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Every corner of the interior is absolutely stunning and meticulously looked after. I stayed in a suite with a garden view and only a “partial” view of the lake (pictured), but still perfect when I opened my window because the property has wide open space on either side (entrance driveway & pool area) with nothing obstructing the view. The room was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The bed was so comfortable and the bedding used felt truly luxurious. The bathroom was spotless each day, and had everything I needed. I intend to be back to Como soon and will certainly stay here again!

The Hotel itself is stunning -- location is right on the water so the views are breathtaking and make you feel like you're truly having that Lake Como experience. Our room had a balcony with an INCREDIBLE view of the pool and lake. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, lots of options including croissants and scrambled eggs. Our room was quite large - much larger than we were expecting which was amazing. The staff are so kind and were extremely helpful when we needed something. When we came back from a day of exploring the Lake we were greeted by the owners and they made us coffees and sat and chatted with us for a bit which was lovely. When we were trying to figure out the best route to the airport at the end of our trip, the owners again took it upon themselves to help us map out the best way to get back to Malpensa airport and we could not be more thankful for their kindness and hospitality. We will absolutely be back!

We do wish there would have been a rug in the room -- we were visiting late October and so the floors were surprisingly very cold when walking around our room. We also did not do enough research on how to get around Lake Como... as Americans visiting without having a car, the lack of taxis / ubers meant a lot of walking and trying to decipher the Ferry schedule to / from Tremezzo but that is not on the hotel, more of a note for Lake Como in general. The owners of the Hotel were incredible in helping us navigate.

The hospitality shown by the couple who own the hotel and their staff was excellent. They just couldn’t do enough to help. They were very attentive and really friendly. They made me feel special and I could see that they treated all their guests with the same respect and courtesy. My single room had a double bed which had a side view of the lake and a view of the church in the distance. It was clean and big enough for a solo traveller. The roof terrace has a panoramic view of lake Como and the surrounding area. There is a seating area opposite the hotel right in front of the lake and also a nice outside terrace/dining area and a pool area.

All great, no complaints.
