The staff were exceptional - very helpful and even offered us some lasagna one night when my husband was struck down by allergies and we couldn't go out for dinner. The location was perfect for us - plenty of places to walk to and a gorgeous view. We didn't want to be closer to Como as the views across the lake further down are more populated. There is an amazing roof terrace too. And the wifi worked really well.

Nothing to do with the hotel, but the buses are a little erratic in their time-keeping. The stop is very handy to the hotel, but make sure you're not in hurry to reach your destination.

Villa Marie was just exceptional. I am also so glad I decided to stay in Tremezzo. The property is lake front, so you get views of the breathtaking mountains wherever you are. The entrance, pool area, bar/lounge, and breakfast sun room are just magical. Vibrant, comfortable, well equipped. The staff are just phenomenal— equally professional, accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Every corner of the interior is absolutely stunning and meticulously looked after. I stayed in a suite with a garden view and only a “partial” view of the lake (pictured), but still perfect when I opened my window because the property has wide open space on either side (entrance driveway & pool area) with nothing obstructing the view. The room was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The bed was so comfortable and the bedding used felt truly luxurious. The bathroom was spotless each day, and had everything I needed. I intend to be back to Como soon and will certainly stay here again!

The Hotel itself is stunning -- location is right on the water so the views are breathtaking and make you feel like you're truly having that Lake Como experience. Our room had a balcony with an INCREDIBLE view of the pool and lake. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, lots of options including croissants and scrambled eggs. Our room was quite large - much larger than we were expecting which was amazing. The staff are so kind and were extremely helpful when we needed something. When we came back from a day of exploring the Lake we were greeted by the owners and they made us coffees and sat and chatted with us for a bit which was lovely. When we were trying to figure out the best route to the airport at the end of our trip, the owners again took it upon themselves to help us map out the best way to get back to Malpensa airport and we could not be more thankful for their kindness and hospitality. We will absolutely be back!

We do wish there would have been a rug in the room -- we were visiting late October and so the floors were surprisingly very cold when walking around our room. We also did not do enough research on how to get around Lake Como... as Americans visiting without having a car, the lack of taxis / ubers meant a lot of walking and trying to decipher the Ferry schedule to / from Tremezzo but that is not on the hotel, more of a note for Lake Como in general. The owners of the Hotel were incredible in helping us navigate.

The hospitality shown by the couple who own the hotel and their staff was excellent. They just couldn’t do enough to help. They were very attentive and really friendly. They made me feel special and I could see that they treated all their guests with the same respect and courtesy. My single room had a double bed which had a side view of the lake and a view of the church in the distance. It was clean and big enough for a solo traveller. The roof terrace has a panoramic view of lake Como and the surrounding area. There is a seating area opposite the hotel right in front of the lake and also a nice outside terrace/dining area and a pool area.

All great, no complaints.

Hosts and staff were welcoming, helpful, and friendly. I loved staying here, even though we had a few days of rather cold or cloudy weather. We stayed in the annex. We had a spacious comfortable room. The breakfast was very good, in the European style, with cold cuts and hard and soft cooked eggs, croissants, a different freshly baked simple cake every day, and more. There are also scrambled eggs. The restaurant is well located, at the main highway that runs along the coastline. A cluster of good restaurants is a 15 minute walk away. A ferry stop is even closer. Some really good restaurants require a car or taxi to get to. The bar in the hotel is open all day long. You can get coffee, drinks, and there is a small selection of sandwiches. One part of the main building has a rooftop loggia from which you can have a fantastic view. The loggia is also iconic for Tremezzo. If you rent a car get a small one! The road from Como is very narrow at some points.

There wasn’t much we didn’t like. It would have been nice to have CNN or other American cable news channels

If I could I would rate our stay at 20/ 10 Beautiful Hotel with the loveliest people, exceptionally +++ clean comfortable and welcoming , we were looked after so well. Waking each day to the magnificent lake views - we feel so blessed, fridge in room very welcomed too Tremezzo is a lovely quieter town but still with so much to see and hotel is not far from ferry stop - great spot for exploring other towns Many thanks to all, would return again and again if possible

Wonderful hotel with the nicest staff! The location is great and perfect parking facility. It is possible to board a boat very close by to go to all the como hotspots. At the same time the location of the hotel is not as crowded with tourists (as Bellagio for example) en it has some very nice restaurants in the area. The view from the terrace on the roof of the hotel is breathtaking!

The hotel is on quite a busy road en it takes sometime to get to places around the Como lake by car, because of the busy traffic. Obviously there’s nothing the hotel can do about that but it might be good to know.

Absolutely wonderful experience! The views were breathtaking, and the location couldn't be better—just a short walk to the ferry and fantastic restaurants. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we loved every moment. The value for money was exceptional! We can't wait to return and will definitely be recommending this hotel to our family and friends. The owners and staff took such great care of us, making our stay even more special. Highly recommend!

Hotel Villa Marie is lovely family-run hotel...very quaint, antique-y interiors, spacious room, serves decent breakfast(both hot & cold options), has a well-maintained pool & friendly staff. Nice views of Lake Como & surrounding mountains. Good value for money.

If you're looking to have meals (other than breakfast) here, you may find the options limited. (Drinks menu is decent, though). You will have to walk a bit (<1km) to closest bus & ferry stops.

Added to all of this the Villa itself with wonderful painted ceilings and unusual roofed roof terrace, and the thought that had gone in to making the Villa and garden an attractive place to stay.
