A big thank to all the staff at Hotel Merloni. We enjoyed every minute of our stay! The hotel has free parking, WIFI and air conditioning in the bedrooms. Breakfast was great. There was so much to choose from. We ate dinner at the hotel three out of the four nights of our stay. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The pool was lovely, with an amazing view over the mountains and had a pool bar. You could have your drinks in the comfy chairs at the bar or take them back to the pool. Our bedroom room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We caught the bus into Mennaggio (which was about 200 metres away) and it took about 10 minutes, Mennaggio was lovely, but we much preferred staying in Grandola, as it was quieter and less touristy. We went on a couple of ferry rides on Lake Como and the service was very good, but super busy in August! We also drove to Lake Lugano, which was only about 20 minutes away. The views over both Lake Como and Lake Lugano blew us away! It was like looking at paintings!

Our stay at Hotel Merloni was truly memorable. The location is absolutely amazing—surrounded by mountains and offering a stunning view. One of the highlights was the beautiful front terrace, lined with palm trees and other lush greenery. Sitting there, simply soaking in the scenery, was a peaceful and unforgettable experience. The hotel staff deserve a special mention. They were incredibly polite, friendly, and always willing to help. This is what I call exceptional service—genuine hospitality that makes you feel welcome and cared for. As for the food, I originally planned to have dinners in the town center, where most restaurants are located. But I quickly changed my mind. The hotel’s kitchen turned out to be a hidden gem. The meals were so delicious that I ended up wishing I had tried them from the very beginning. In summary, Hotel Merloni exceeded our expectations. If we ever return to this area, we will definitely stay here again.

Everything is nice and clean, big parking, very nice swimming pool. The territory near the pool is well-kept and very cozy. Internet was really good on all the territory of a hotel. It's about 7 minutes by car to Menagi center. Friendly staff.

Breakfasts... I was very disappointed. There's simply nothing to eat there if you are vegetarians or trying to eat healthy. No choice of fruit or vegetables (I don't consider a single plate of sliced ​​tomatoes to be vegetables). When you go to Italy, you expect to see fresh greens, vegetables and big choice of fruits. But definitely something more than one type of salami, two types of cheese and boiled eggs.. I would also like the yogurts to be portioned, and at least labeled (preferably in English too), because it's not clear what that white thing is on the plate, yogurt? mayonnaise? sauce?.. Sockets... there are very few sockets in the room and they are very strange.. I couldn't plug in either the hair dryer or the laptop. I could only charge my phone.

Very clean and well maintained hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful. Great swimming pool with lots of chairs and umbrellas. Large free parking with many spaces under trees, where to hide from sun. We could order cafe any time at the bar and had good diner in the evening. Good location - not far from Menaggio city center. Air con was working great.

Pillows could be better - they were too thin for us. There could be more fresh fruits and vegetables on breakfast. There could be a small drying rack for wet clothes in room, it was difficult to dry our swimsuits after pool.

Very nice and welcoming staff, great pool area and wonderful views. You can chill by the pool and watch the mountains and nature without much city noise. The interior has sort of a grandmas house vibes which I like, it is very cute. Again the people working there really made our stay stand out from other hotels.

Transportation is a bit difficult, I really recommend renting a car/scooter/ebike or else youre pretty stranded up there. If you rent an e-bike there is a super cool bike road all the way up from Menaggio.

The value for price is great no dought. The pool is nice and they are really putting effort into making it clean. Large parking is a plus

The problems begins with the services. The wifi in the rooms is so bad that its safe to say there is no wifi. After trying to do a 5min work for 40min I gave up and went to the reception where the connection is great but its so hot there on a summer day... The breakfasts are poor, they could be so much better with a bit of effort. The coffe is bad, the omelett is terrible, the choice is poor. The view is a great benefit of the hotel but they wont let people sit on the terrace during beakfast to enjoy the view. I know why, the tables are outside tables but man that was a bad choice to put them there Im giving overall good rating so the hotel can improve. Even with all its negative aspects, I would stay again IMHO

Great hotel to relax at the pool with beautiful and amazing views, friendly staff, good food and wine. It is located in Grandola ed Uniti directly on the Pista Ciclopedonale Menaggio-Porlezza, so we were able to walk to the lake Como, Menaggio (about 40 minutes) and also through the Natural Reserve Lake di Piano to the lake Lugano, Porlezza (about 2 hours). In just 20 minutes you can reach the Val Sanagra Park. During our stay we move our car just once to get to the supermarket. It is a good place to walk the whole day around and peacefully enjoy the sunset. Our room was on the streetside, so a little bit noisy in the morning, but otherwise the hotel exceeded our expectations in every respect.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The pool was a great place to relax. Easy to find location and ample parking. The front terrace area was great to sit and have a coffee/beer. Bar and restraunt prices were very reasonable. Location was handy for Balcony of Italy and close to the Swiss border. A genuine family run business who care and take pride in their hotel.

Slightly far out of town, but bus service made this easier to manage.

All in all a very nice and pleasant place with nice staff. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. I liked the fact that they had a yard and a private pool. The location is a 10-minute drive from Menaggio; in that case, a car is handy.

The hotel has seen some time but feels clean overall. We had no blanket in our room, only one bed linen, but I am more than sure that we could have asked for some:)

This was our favourite hotel during our recent trip to the Italian Lakes. Staff were very nice, friendly and helpful; family run. Room was very nice and comfortable, lovely view, breakfast very good with plenty of choice. Lovely pool and grounds. We ate at the hotel restaurant on the first night, which was nice. Plenty of on-site parking. About 10 minute drive to Menaggio where you can get boats around the lake, also restaurants. We actually drove in the other direction to Carlazzo and ate at a restaurant by Lake Piano, which was very good. Would recommend and stay again. Thank you.
