Even before we arrived Olivia was fantastic and made a point to call to check about our requirements and what we would be happy with, she arranged dinner for us and arranged a very sweet "Happy Anniversary" plate for our room. She also ensured that everything was set up for our baby to be joining us and made dinner reservations for us with special dietary requests all accounted for. After arrival she went above and beyond and was very attentive and welcoming at all times. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was nice with good amenities, it was a pleasant surprise to see that the room was air conditioned. The pool was lovely, nice temperature and easy to simply walk into. The gym was well equipped. The breakfast arrangements were excellent, notably better than many country hotels we have stayed in in the UK. The quality of both the continental buffet and the ordered hot menu were exceptionally good. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful to walk around and parking was plentiful and easy.
Its a shame that the childrens hours for the pool were so limited, especially with fitting in breakfast it would be better perhaps if the childrens hours could be extended to 12pm.

I absolutely loved this place . I travelled alone with my daughter on the way back from Somerset to Manchester and wanted a stopover half way. It was perfect, the setting is gorgeous and rooms are nice and the seating outside etc . We loved it that much we stayed 2 nights . Reception Staff very friendly .
The restaurant staff , the male was very uninviting , not very pleasant , seemed to take the smallest mistake they’d made as a personal attack even though it was their mistake . Ordered a glass of wine and it never arrived . Asked for certain other things that came that wasn’t what we ordered etc . Just seemed a bit like faulty towers in that department. But wouldn’t put me off staying again.

As well as a beautiful setting, the hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The room was spotless and very nicely presented. The breakfast and bar/lounge food was superb. My wife appreciated the spa treatments and the pool was a great place for unwinding. We used taxis to get to the centre for shopping and evening entertainment, with an Uber ride being around £15-18 each. I commented several times it was nice to visit a hotel that was just as nice as the brochures and reviews suggest.
If the spirit of trying to find some room for improvement and if I was being picky, the gravel car park is awkward for pulling wheeled suitcases on. Some sort of perimeter path, or a central 'runway' would be appreciated to save arms getting sore.

We just had a standard room but we were very impressed with it, super clean, very comfortable bed and good bathroom. Dinner was very good and overall staff were very good too. Goes without saying that it’s a special building, but also very attractive and historic grounds that are worth walking. Finally, an excellent breakfast, great options and an impressive buffet.
The bar was disappointing, firstly the beer offering was poor - of the 4 taps 2 were same lager, so bitter even in bottles. Expected much better selection and approach. But even more disappointing was the bar area itself, didn’t fit the hotel at all, very plain, no character, basic.

Our stay at New Hall Hotel & Spa in Sutton Coldfield was an unforgettable escape that exceeded every expectation, leaving us with memories we’ll cherish forever. This historic moated manor, brimming with centuries-old charm, blends timeless elegance with modern luxury, creating an experience that felt both enchanting and indulgent. The grounds were absolutely impeccable, a breathtaking sweep of lush gardens and serene landscapes. Strolling through the beautifully manicured gardens, framed by the tranquil moat, felt like stepping into a fairytale. The surrounding parkland offered peaceful trails where we spotted wildlife, adding a magical touch to our walks. The moat, alive with ducks and fish, was a captivating centerpiece we couldn’t stop admiring. The food was simply divine, with every meal a celebration of flavor. The restaurant’s modern British dishes, crafted with fresh, local ingredients, were bursting with creativity and beautifully presented. From leisurely breakfasts to exquisite dinners, each bite was a delight. We also loved the cozy lounge, where we savored expertly crafted cocktails and a decadent Afternoon Tea that felt like a treat fit for royalty. The dining alone left us dreaming of our next visit. The staff’s warmth and attentiveness were beyond exceptional, making us feel truly special. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond, anticipating our needs with genuine care. Their heartfelt hospitality, echoed in so many guest reviews, made every moment shine. We were also lucky to meet a local guest, staying with his wife, who shared fascinating stories about the hotel’s rich history, bringing its legacy to life in a way that deepened our appreciation. Our room was a heavenly retreat, blending historic charm with modern comfort. The beautifully designed space, with its elegant furnishings and serene garden views, was a perfect haven for relaxation.
We loved everything!

Everything about this Hotel is fabulous. The grounds are wonderful and the rooms are delightful. The staff go over and above to make sure everything is perfect and we were made very welcome. The dogs had beds,Treats, Food and water bowls, poop bags. The tea and coffee selection is amazing….i could go on and on about what makes this one of the best hotels we have ever visited. Thank you.
Not enough doggy poop bins around. The only one is in the main car park and this can encourage laziness in visitors. I must add that it didn’t in us, but there were a few little accidents we came across in our walks. The post code for Satnav is not the same as the Hotel and this should be made clearer as it was confusing.

Beautiful, historic building. Very nice atmosphere. Beautiful park all around, great walks. magic atmosphere on the grounds of the hotel. Romantic park. Walks in the countryside near the hotel. Possibility of coming with a dog. Great, helpful staff and especially Kris, Apo and Libbee: you have made my stay a very pleasant one. Thank you! You are doing a great job. The hotel would not be the same without you. You make it special!
Ideas of improvement for breakfast: there could be sourdough bread and salmon for breakfast. There could be a machine for guests to make themselves apple, carrot, kale juice. There could be sprouted seeds for breakfast. Prices of the restaurant a little bit too expensive. There could be the history of the building somewhere in the reception. No green apples but normal apples.

I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and friendliness of all the staff. Sarah's 5*welcome made me feel so valued as a guest. The building and grounds are beautiful, the beds super comfy, a fridge in the room is handy when travelling with children, good pool times for families, and a great menu for both children and adults. Overall, really excellent value.
The floor around the edge of the pool could have done with a sweep, but changing rooms etc were all clean. The restaurant worked really hard to get the children's food out ASAP. They excelled here, however, it was quite a wait for adult mains. Once served, the food was delicious. I do think we were in the restaurant at the busiest time.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The property, dating back to the 13th century, is stunning and full of character. It’s set in a beautiful, lush, and green area that offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were very professional and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Dinner was fantastic, Apo was a wonderful host at the restaurant and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. Also Pedro was a great host making our first day very enjoyable. Truly loved everything about our stay.
The lunch menu could offer more healthy options

The property is stunning. The rooms were lovely. Loved the spa! The breakfast was the highlight- it was amazing! All the staff were so lovely! Mo, Scarlett etc.
Overall everything was fab! I was just a bit surprised that on our last night I had a 0% gin and lemonade and it came to £18. I was really shocked. There was also service charge on there when I stood and waited for it. My husband was drinking double rum and cokes for only £13, no service charge, and we never paid for service on any of our other drinks that we collected ourselves at the bar. I asked the gentleman at check out and he couldn't help us but it just left a bad taste in the mouth. You can buy a bottle of that 0% Caleño stuff for £14 on ocado! I'd have rather had a diet coke for that price. £18 for a 0% g&t! No one could believe it.
