We were only staying one night for work and found the room size was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was clean and tidy. There was free parking available And the breakfast was awesome (thank you lynne). The bedding and linen and towels were clean and there was plenty of refreshments in the room. The main pub downstairs was a real friendly local happy setting.

There was no lampshade on the main light. It was just a bulb hanging from the ceiling. The paintwork on the bedside tables was tatty and worn. The bathroom floor was a little damaged and felt like there was a dip in it. The towel rail in the bathroom had dry toothpaste splatters on it. These things are all nit picky things. However we would stay again.

The staff Is the friendliest you can imagine, we were there for an Aston Villa Match, Location Is a bit far from the center but an Uber is cheap. About the room, it is what the value also offers, pretty clean, but if you are an allergic person you might struggle, since our room didn't have a proper window and the floor being a rug can make it difficult. Beds were not that comfy but for a few nights is okay. Btw the bar is great!

I was contacted twice that I haven't paid through my WhatsApp, this means either they have some information leaks with phones and reservation from customers or that it was on purpose, which I doubt since the place and staff didn't appear to me to know that happens. Regarding the room it can get a bit loud, so if you are the type that can't sleep with sound then take it into account.

Breakfast was great: lots of options, generous portions, clean and delicious. Beds were clean and comfortable. Shower was clean, water hot and good pressure.

Staff on first night told us the bar would be open late (usually closes early (at 10pm)) on our 2nd night after the gig we were visiting the area to attend, because there were lots of guests booked in to go to the gig...when we arrived back at 11pm the bar was closed and locked up for the night. Disappointing. No drinking glasses in the room...had to 'borrow' some from the bar...when it reopened

Everything a warm welcome by one of the B&B local bless him showed us where to park and also asked us how our stay and event went in the morning The whole place felt like home. The lady behind the bar was such a gem, warm welcoming to everyone The beds are so comfortable, my friend didn't want to wake up to leave Breakfast was lovley Definitely book again

Leaving

A comfortable bed and seating area to chill with my book. The bathroom was clean and tidy and everything worked well. The wifi was handy for catching up with my social media. The breakfast was good and good value, too

There was no food available (I stayed on a Sunday). Unfortunately, there are no restaurants nearby. Also, though tea and coffee facilities were available, there was no milk, so I ended up with black coffee :(

Staff, comfy bed

The guests or who the hell was that constantly walking up and down, slamming the door like they have never heard of a door handle before the whole evening (till midnight starting again at 5am). One man was constantly walking up and down using only “fire exit door” not going to any room which was really weird - as a solo traveller you need to feel safe. The bathroom: not possible to use the toilet or shower without the sensor light turning off every single 10 seconds; like …I don’t dance while using the toilet but had to. :D

I happened to find this place and stayed because I lost my booking at another hotel. Shanahans B&B is a very authentic British B&B in an industrial zone, with a unique room upstairs of the pub. The pub is full of regulars with decent pints. Breakfast is also great at a good price. People, both workers and regulars are awesome. It takes less than 10min to the city center by ubar, so if you need to go somewhere to work near the city, it's better to stay here than the city center hotels because of the price and experience.

I'm not sure the lovely ladies name but she was outstanding! She had glasses and wore a head handkerchief. 100% needs mentioning as she was so friendly and helpful! Bed was comfy, food and drink was cheap! Just overall a great stay especially on price

Didn't realise bnb was in the middle of an industrial estate but good location from town n from villa park

I booked 2 nights and ended up staying 3. The room was clean and comfortable with an excellent shower. The huge advantage is the pub and food. The meals are like home cooking and are a great value. The pub is well equipped and i also enjoyed the music selection. Lynn was so friendly and prepared excellent breakfasts and gave a hug when i checked out 😁. Really makes you feel welcome

The listing says parking but its street parking. Im on a motorcycle so parking in the sidewalk wasn't a problem. The room does have a smell of smoking but its a pub and offers such good value, i cant complain and still give a perfect 10. I'm only offering info for others to understand.

Very good value very comfortable aswell and lovely room everything was spotless the staff are absolutely lovely and the bar down stairs aswell was a proper pub with a pool table and good music Thank you staff will visit again and have a drink with you all
