Staff, comfy bed

The guests or who the hell was that constantly walking up and down, slamming the door like they have never heard of a door handle before the whole evening (till midnight starting again at 5am). One man was constantly walking up and down using only “fire exit door” not going to any room which was really weird - as a solo traveller you need to feel safe. The bathroom: not possible to use the toilet or shower without the sensor light turning off every single 10 seconds; like …I don’t dance while using the toilet but had to. :D

I happened to find this place and stayed because I lost my booking at another hotel. Shanahans B&B is a very authentic British B&B in an industrial zone, with a unique room upstairs of the pub. The pub is full of regulars with decent pints. Breakfast is also great at a good price. People, both workers and regulars are awesome. It takes less than 10min to the city center by ubar, so if you need to go somewhere to work near the city, it's better to stay here than the city center hotels because of the price and experience.

I booked 2 nights and ended up staying 3. The room was clean and comfortable with an excellent shower. The huge advantage is the pub and food. The meals are like home cooking and are a great value. The pub is well equipped and i also enjoyed the music selection. Lynn was so friendly and prepared excellent breakfasts and gave a hug when i checked out 😁. Really makes you feel welcome

The listing says parking but its street parking. Im on a motorcycle so parking in the sidewalk wasn't a problem. The room does have a smell of smoking but its a pub and offers such good value, i cant complain and still give a perfect 10. I'm only offering info for others to understand.

Staff are amazing, friendly and such a laugh. We booked shanahans last minute it was so cheap so was not expecting much. Rooms are massive. Comfortable beds and a good shower. The sports bar is a great pub a real old fashioned pub and the staff were great. Ben behind the bar could not do enough for us and really made our night. We will make excuses just to come back here. Big shout out to Sandra and Emma who work here, wasn't on the night but invited us to sit with them and had a fantastic night and great laugh made us feel welcome

Room a little dated but for the price it's fantastic

It was okay, for the price I paid. It’s clean and the staff were quite friendly m.

The room wasn’t so big but was perfect for a single traveler. The back door was left open when I got back around past 12am. I guess someone must have went out and left it open, and that made me a bit worried. I guess they need to show every guest how to close it from outside, not everyone is patient to see that it’s properly shut and it should all be the guest and host responsibility.

Located less than 15 minutes walking time from Aston station, with a bus stop on the "inner circle" outside the pub. Room had comfy beds and was quite big. Decent quality shower (powerful).

A small amount of outside noise from the road with boy racers and the area the pub is located is quite industrial. No soap in the bathroom to wash hands.

Staff were all welcoming and friendly. The manager Craig was a great host and even recommended where we could go for evening entertainment. The cook Lynn was a lovely lady who took time to chat to us, making us feel like valued customers. Lynn's breakfast was super tasty and great value for money. Overall we had a very pleasant experience and will definitely be going back.

Found the staff helpful and pleasant the food was more then expected the room was pleasant and cozy Staff made you welcome at the bar no complaints will definitely recommend and stay or visit again Highly recommend

Leaving the place can't think of anything to dislike good working class friendly people you can't dislike

The staff really made this place, from the check in to the bar staff and the two ladies at breakfast the following morning all very friendly and went out there way to help. Although the accommodation is basic you are staying it a proper traditional pub which is exactly what we wanted.

The hot water wasn’t working the night we stayed but we were pre- warned and knew in advance, so couldn’t use the shower but they did make up for this. Also bathroom floor could have been cleaner. This is very much a contractor type accommodation- basic and in middle of trading estate, but it’s very comfortable and very friendly
