The staff were lovely! The location (while far out of central London) is easy with the super close tube and Thames link nearby. Never needed to queue for the shower or toilet. Nice little kitchen hanging out area with Olympics on the TV.

The room I was in had no curtains and the windows needed to be open as it was hot but the road noise was loud in the night - not conducive of a good night's sleep. White the bunks had curtains on the side it didn't stop the sun streaming into mine next to the window. I was in an 8 bed room and was the only woman, I know this can't be helped but didn't always feel so nice. It was a room of snoring slightly smelly men. The showers with the curtain to cover your things isn't ideal but it did the job.

I cannot extend the booking in the same bed numbers room hmm they say not do extends! They say i can extend in other bigger room! Then i refused sorted out my self. I am not a fun of this rooms my one was for 6 people i dont want to imagine the 15 people one or even 21! Only been living in hostel by mistake once at 18 years old and now at 34years old only for few days, although there is a nice feeling kitchen with delicious break fast socialising with people new arriving and goes dayly so can make friends etc

I recently had the pleasure of staying at London Backpackers Hostel and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, I felt an incredible sense of warmth and friendliness from all of the staff. What truly made my experience unforgettable was Marit, who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Marit’s warm smile and genuine hospitality stood out from the very first day. Her kindness and positivity truly made this place feel like a home away from home. The hostel itself is cozy, clean, and has a great vibe, making it easy to meet other travelers. If you’re looking for a welcoming atmosphere, London Backpacker Hostel is the spot!

This was my first time staying at a hostel, and I had such a great experience I think I will do it again. I might even come back here next time I am in London for more than a day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Security measures taken were great, the vibe and atmosphere was generally calm and friendly. The people who came to the place generally had a friendly aura about them, and I felt safe being there🙂. Moreover, it is in a great location with an underground station less than a 5 mins walk away. There are many convenience stores, supermarkets, and takeaways less than a 10mins walk away. Overall, I had a wonderful stay.

I didn't like the fact that a male member of staff cleaned the ladies bathroom and female only dorms. The wonderful receptionist explained that sometimes they only have male volunteers working, which is understandable.

I only stayed 1 night, but the hostel was really good for this reason. Beds are comfortable, they have curtains that you can pull for it to be darker inside the bed. Bed linen are provided, no need to bring your own. They have a kitchen on first floor if you stay for several days and want to cook your own meals, but as I was there for only 1 night, I didn't use it. They have breakfast every morning for £3, and do free dinners on Wednesdays and Frdays, maybe next time I come back, I will try to book for one of those days, just to see what it is. When it comes to the staff, Nelly is the best!

Could have more showers, but on the other hand, if you time it well, there will always be one avaialble.

Monday movie night, quite entretaning. The bathroom was quite clean even at the end of the day and there was even hair dryer, a straightener and a curler. The place was quite safe. I could leave my things in the room withought any problem.

My bed was close to the door and needed more curtains. Whenever that someone was coming in or out I could get all the light from outside. And the curtain inside the shower is not waterproof, and your towel or clothes might get wet. When you press the button at the beggining the water is quite cold, you need to press several times until it gets warmer.

Really good hostel in all fairness. Kitchen for use, common area, very clean and comfy beds! I "lost" my purse- EITHER I left it in the bathroom or it was taken from my bag and someone returned it (I am a very trusting girl and left my bag unattended for around 3 mins). After sharing the news with the manager he was very serious about helping me; informed the two young men who it 'could' have it been that he would check cctv... on my behalf. So yes, very safe in this respect. 👏

D2 female dorms has tricky access to toilets- there are no toilets on the same floor... really bad for nighttime.

I feel this place is safe. I was in a female room. Here is a free dinner three times a week!!! Pesto pasta, Stroganoff (vegetarian). Breakfast is £3, I didn't try it, but cheese and jam. This hostel is NOT full of ill, homeless people. The hostel is clean. The staff and guests are young and beautiful. People play pool, snooker or billiard (?) together. Everyone is a singer, musician or songwriter.

One guest was rude: she made a very long (70 minutes) phone calling in the room at midnight. We were not able to sleep + the same woman was sick: continuously coughing: gave the viruses for everyone. It is not good: sick people come to sleep between 11 healthy. But what can we do? I didn't like the miniature 1 (one) small sleeping pillow.

Beds, linen, blankets are quite fine, I've not complains about the staff and it is well maintenance. Like staying in one of those wonderful backpackers of the earlies 2000s, but...

..but, now this kind of accommodation are used by nasty people who pinch your pillow or swap your fresh sheets with their used ones. Besides that, they're not respecting sleep times, take all the space and speak loudly at any time. Man, those people should be not allowed to stay no longer than 2 weeks in arrow. I've seen many workers in hostels across England, like Bristol, Cardiff, Oxford, London... and even this could be considerate offensive, the nasty ones were always from south Asia, like India, Pakistan,--- How can you recognise them? listen to the Bollywood's music. Bring some ear plugs.
