The staff is very friendly and helpful. The fitness center and the pool are nice perks and the location is pretty good! The hotel is pretty clean and we'll maintained, you see the staff cleaning the common areas all the time!

The breakfast closes a bit early (10 am on the dot) and although fairly good and diverse , looks a bit cheap with the use of plastic plates /cups. Real dishes would make it a bit nicer given that the hotel ain't cheap! They could also have more options for yogurts and fruits like more fresh fruits , Greek yogurt etc. The main thing that puzzled us was the room housekeeping. The hotel is clean but the housekeeping is not organized during your stay. They didn't make the bed 3 times out 4 nights we stayed there. I understand not changing the bedsheets every day during our stay but leaving the bed undone is just a lack of common sense... Once , we came back and the room wasn't done at all. And we left the room in the morning for the whole day...

I would have given a 10, but breakfast was terrible. Someone need to take a good look at breakfast because better can be done and it brings down the mark for the hotel. As a non-meat/egg eater, I was counting on the yogurt for breakfast. The yogurt available was a health hazard if one was per-diabetic or diabetic. It would make more sense to have full fat yogurt instead of low fat yogurt which is nothing more than sugar. Also instead of having cut up potatoes, well seasoned potatoes in smaller pieces would have been a better choice. Overall, I love the hotel and its proximity to all the areas downtown - the trails, shopping, restaurants, public transportation and being able to walk everywhere. A special thank you to the young lady who took the time out to show me where to take the bus and the young lady who called a taxi to take me to the train station on leaving. Thank you to the cleaning staff for their all their help. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again if and when I do decide to revisit Portland.

As stated above breakfast was terrible and needed to be look at as a matter of urgency Change the all sugar yogurt to full fat yogurt - low fat and full of sugar is a diabetic's death wish. Do better with the potatoes - seasoned potatoes would be better choice - seasoned does not mean full of staff - use Mrs Dash no-salt seasoning. Grated cheese would also be a good idea to go along with the potatoes for those who do not eat meat/eggs

Maybe should include parking for guests which would bring more guests to your hotel

Nice lobby for evening game with family after a night out downtown. Continental breakfast was very good, with hot options of eggs, sausage, homefries, and waffles. I very rarely stay in a hotel that does not include breakfast. Comfortable pillows. Streamlined pull down blinds instead of drapes - a small detail, but made it seem neater and cleaner. Rooms were moderately sized, but more than adequate for our overnight stay. Great location.

I like the valet service. I just wish it didn't add $40 for a Saturday night into Sunday when on-street parking is free. That's the only reason for the Good response on value instead of Excellent. The valet (Karl) was excellent, professional and friendly.

Great location. Very comfortable. We could see the cruise ships from Our window. As with all Hampton Inns, the pillows are extremely soft but luckily there were enough. Staff were mostly great and very helpful.

Breakfast buffet was basic. As someone who requires a gluten free diet, cereal containers were mislabeled and thus contaminated. I mentioned this to the young lady at the desk and she didn’t seem too concerned. Also, $40 daily parking fee seemed excessive when there was a $20 parking lot across the street which we would certainly take advantage of next time

Top notch stay in Portland for one night. This was the perfect location, price, & size for our family. Excellent value. Exceptionally clean. My kids loved the heated indoor pool. I booked 2 double queen rooms for my family of 5. Upon arrival, I asked the desk clerk if it would be possible to make one of those double queens, a king room, if they had the availability. The clerk very graciously accommodated my request with a positive attitude & a welcoming spirit. Breakfast was the typical free hotel fare, but it was hot & there was plenty of it! There was plenty of variety. It was nice to have 2 options for breakfast meats & eggs. The potatoes were a nice touch you don't see often. The 24 hour coffee bar was FANTASTIC. They even had hot chocolate for the kids! We walked to Luke's Lobster for supper & had a great meal. Thanks for a great stay!

Excellent location. Close to shops, restaurants, ferry dock. Room was clean and comfortable, typical of newer chain hotel. The weather was hot, and the temperature control in the room was very good. All the staff were super friendly and helpful.

There was a one-inch gap between the bottom of the door and the sill, so every word and sound in the hallway outside was loud and clear. There were soft and firm pillows on each bed, but the firm pillows weren't very firm. The breakfast was decently good, but less so the second day, when they seem to have run out of fruit and other items close to closing time. The orange juice from the machine was watery, coffee just so-so.

The rooms are huge! The beds are so comfortable, and everything just looks and feels clean and fresh. It is such a refreshing stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is absolutely perfect - we didn't have to use the car at all during our whole stay. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance open till late into the night.

On-site valet parking is extremely expensive at 30$ a night. There is a garage right across the street that offers parking for 15$ a night.

The hotel is on the edge of the downtown area and within walking distance of the centre. It was easy to find by satnav. The room was standard modern tower block design, the rooms were tasteful with subdued colours.

They charged $40 per night for parking, we used 12 hotels on our road trip, this was the most expensive. The breakfast was average. They had 2 toasters, one didn't work, I scalded my fingers with a cup of coffee in a paper cup - no sleeves were supplied.

The room was very large, clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was a very nice bonus. Plenty of options and very good. We chose this location because of the indoor pool, however we ended up being too busy shopping, sight seeing and dining that wecran out of time to swim. The pool area was nice though.

Only option was valet paid parking (not free). Made more expensive by having to tip the valet everything you wanted your car. Became a little pricey.
