The staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, comfortable bed and pillows, spacious with great facilities, a nice treat to have a coffee machine in the room. The spa was really enjoyable, the sauna, steam room and caladium were lovely, the massive spa pool is so wonderful and we used it a lot, there is herbal tea provided and the spa robes are super comfy. It's great that you are welcome to use the facilities the day before and after your stay dates too. The food was delicious, breakfast had lots of options, from the wild cafe in the evening I can highly recommend the beef and bacon burger and a bramble cocktail from the bar. In general the hotel is a great and welcoming space, and we loved our time there, you feel relaxed as soon as you come through the door.

It was a big disappointment that the windows weren't cleaned, we appreciate it had been a stormy weekend and we arrived on the Monday, but we paid specifically for a sea view and it was a shame we couldn't enjoy it properly. I would expect a luxury hotel to have window cleaning on a daily checklist (at least the easy to reach ones) The irony is we could see a hose pipe on the flat roof outside our room, if only we could reach it we would wash them down ourselves! The spa was the same for this, the balcony glass and spa windows were hard to see through, would have been even more amazing to have a sea view from the spa.

breakfast was incredible. Spar could have done with a facility for food to be eaten outside as we where in there all day and had to go to cafe in our robes so not ideal.

room mservice didnt answer the phone at all, everytime I tried to call them. also room could do with some air con . much too hot on times

The staff, the food, the views. The bathrooms were great. Didn't use the pool, but that also looked very good. We ate in the Wild Cafe twice, the food was excellent, and so was the breakfast. Lots of different areas around the hotel to explore. There were plenty for kids to do, and the view was amazing. No matter if you were in a sea view room, in the bar, the restaurants, the pool.... you can see the sea from all areas. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful, and definitely a credit to the hotel.

Our sliding doors didn't lock. The lock looked like it had been fixed previously but had broken again and just left. ( not that anyone would have climbed up to the second floor to come in our room) Curtains were coming off the rail, so my husband fixed them. The bed were 2 singles pushed together, which I wouldn't normally be bothered about, but mine was a little lower than my husbands. It does state on booking.com that there is soundproofing in the rooms - this is not true and needs to be amended. The bathrooms were great, but the extractor fan was broken. Overall - small things that just need a little attention.

The only thing i would say is that i felt uncomfortable with so many dogs around the place. I love dogs but at times there were 4-5 being walked along the corridor or in the restaurant and bar areas and it made me wonder whether previous guests had let their dogs sleep in the bed etc. Having said that I never heard dogs barking or misbehaving!

Views of course wmare amazing. The interior decor. Bed was ŕeally good even in our basic room at the rear. Food also very good way better than the restaurant in town (Catch - don't bother going). Jacuzzi/Hydro pool top notch.

It would be nice for the outdoor pool to beheated by solar. Indoor pool - the air was way too warm for the water temperature. The outside look of the hotek - reminds me of a 1960s school. The noise out the back from staff wheeling trollies either early AM or late PM isn't great.

It’s a lovely hotel with lots of facilities on site. It is a good location for exploring Cornwall. There is a beach nearby. We saw seals playing in the waves one evening from the property. Plenty of space and communal areas in the hotel. The bedrooms are comfortable and clean and the staff were all really helpful. The car park was a good size and comms from the hotel were really good.

Dogs were allowed all over the restaurant. Was pretty gross seeing serving staff pet dogs and then bring out food. And one dog gave itself a good shake right next to our table of food which I was not happy about. would rather there was a separate section for the dog owners. Walls were pretty thin and we could hear the man next door snoring.

Breakfast was delightful - freshly baked breads and local cheeses and excellent coffee - what more could you want? The room was compact (We stayed in the single rooms) but performed its purpose well. The restaurant was outstanding - the food was memorable and really championed earthy fresh flavours - and I cant wait to go back!

Nothing. Guests that like a full english breakfast might be disappointed as this comes with an extra supplement.

The room was comfortable and the facilities were very good - the Spa very friendly and pleasant. I wish the outdoor pool had been opened, even if cold! I enjoyed the spa garden too, very Scandi. Breakfast was delicious.

I booked a rather expensive treatment at the Spa - a 60 minute massage. The massage was really good, but the treatment didn't start till circa 10.15 and finished at 10.56. Given it was £95 this did not seem good value. The pre-dinner Margarita I ordered was undrinkable.

The hotel and the facilities are lovely, amazing views. The breakfast was delicious, so much choice available! So well connect to the beach and gorgeous coastal walks. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

I found the rooms very basic for the price and the front of the building/entrance is quite tired looking. It doesn't give the best first impression, particularly given that the hotel is lovely inside. Another personal dislike was the chairs in the main bar area, I didn't find them very comfortable to sit and relax on (made from rope), but there are plenty of couches available in the connecting room

The wiew from the room was superb. The breakfast was very good but cooked was extra. The swimming pool was a decent size and quite peaceful, Access to the beach was downhill via a sandy path. We spent about 3 hours in the evening just relaxing in the unusually warm Cornish sunshine with cocktails and excellent food served from the restaurant.

We found it most frustrating to be evacuated from the swimming pool area as early as 4 pm just when we were relaxing. This is far too early for a swimming pool to close and it's such a shame because it is a beautiful pool. It is unbearable hot in the sea facing rooms due to their south westerly orientation. Opening the windows nothing to cool down this extreme heat. These rooms need air conditioning.
