Love the staff. Apple (AJ) in particular, the lady from the breakfast was so warm and welcoming! She’s wonderful. Reception staff were also very nice. Jen the chambermaid also made sure the room was super clean all the time. Location was excellent too. Close to 3 different metros, a stone-throw away from Sol. A 10min walk to Gran Vía and Plaza Mayor.

I was there during the blackout. I wish the hallways had some emergency lighting. It was almost pitch black, but I understand. This was an extremely rare occurrence.

Excellent location next to the Plaza Santa Ana with lots of restaurants and bars next to the hotel. Only a 15 minute walk West to the Cathedral and Royal Palace and 15min East to the Museo del Prado. Room modern and clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast is 2 doors down from the Hotel entrance so it meant going outside but the continental breakfast selection was good with quality coffee and orange juice.

The rooms have thin walls and you can hear everything your neighbours are saying. There is a noise from the outside bars but this wasn't a major problem for us in February. I was very surprised to find ourselves locked in the Hotel on two occasions when nobody was on reception. We had to wait for the receptionist to come back to unlock the doors to let us out. There needs to be an access button or card reader for guests and I am sure this must break fire regulations.

Everything was perfect! A warm welcome from the reception staff who were always helpful with any questions and recommendations. We were offered a kettle if we wanted one. The room was spotless and there was enough toiletries for our stay. Beds were extremely comfy too! The location is amazing as walkable to everywhere. There are also a great selection of restaurants and shops close by. We were worried it would be a building site in front of the hotel but I think majority of it is finished. There was some boarding up which did spoil the view a bit but no noise disturbance. The breakfast was really good with so much choice and a coffee machine where you made your own coffee with pods. Couldn't fault this hotel for a city break and I have done a lot of travelling in my time so have plenty to compare it to.

The hotel is small!! there are stairs to get to the elevator which makes it difficult with a suitcase. The bathroom and the shower are small. .

The hotel is located within walking distance to the Prado Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, the Royal Palace, and the Plaza Major. It's on a busy side street, but the rooms are well insulated, and no street noise was audible. The bed was comfortable, and the room was spotless. The front desk personnel were very helpful, friendly, and spoke fluent English. As a bonus, the breakfast buffet is extensive, with very good coffee.

I'm a large person, so negotiating the corner shower was sometimes challenging. But that's a minor quibble in an otherwise wonderful stay.

I was given a room facing Santa Ana square, with a Juliet balcony, however what wasn’t advised both on the Booking.com website or any information from the hotel was that the Square was being dug up to make an underground carpark, so there was considerable noise being made through out the day by workmen using heavy earth moving equipment, JC B,s etc. I suggest you discuss this with the hotel as it lowered my impression of the hotel. Which may have an impact of the hotels future business etc.

Staff was kind. Electric sockets don’t work with typical converters (for us non Europeans), but staff found an adaptor to let me borrow. Room was right on the plaza, but supper quiet since it has double windows.

More healthy warm breakfast options for vegans. Tons of warm meat, but no potatoes. beans, or nonmeat warm options which equates to cold cereal and fruit each morning. 10 days of breakfasts like this left me always hungry.

A bit loud on weekend nights due to nearby venues, but nothing intolerable

The location was very central, near most of the areas in Madrid that are top “ must see” attractions. Breakfast was good, though quite “basic”! The 2 rooms I stayed in were both very clean, with a lovely view of Plaza Santa Ana, and had everything necessary (safety deposit box, mini fridge, comfortable bed, etc.). The main problem with the rooms is that they are extremely small and quite cramped. The shower was so tiny that it was actually difficult to take a shower in! Yet, I was glad that water didn’t leak out onto the floor. Perhaps the rooms should have smaller beds so the rooms themselves would feel larger? The hotel staff was exceptional: everybody was extremely friendly, helpful and kind.

My biggest complaint was the tiny size of the rooms.

This was our second time staying in this hotel. The reason we chosen it was because we stayed here previous year and we loved everything about it! Super-friendly stuff, willing to help with everything they can even "out of hotel's scope"! Good breakfast! Location is fantastic, underground parking is just 2-3 mins way (Plaza de Santa Ana), where hotel's guests get discount. Garage parking clearance is big enough to allow family mini-vans! Overall another yet great experience with Miau hotel!

A bit of disappointment came from the fact that this time we got some smaller room comparing to the previous year. A room for two adults and two kids had only one extra bed (previous year, we had two small beds for kids).
