The villa was lovely, set in beautiful manicured gardens. The distance from the main centre of Sienna was a bonus, as the location was tranquil. Catching a bus into the centre was a breeze with the bus stop just outside the gates. The staff were amazing. Always helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, with coffees and scrambled eggs made to order. Our evening meal in the restaurant was superb.

Our only disappointment was the layout of our room in the annexe. The stairs to our bed on the mezzanine were a challenge, but we managed. However, the placement of the television meant that one of us had to sit at the desk and the other on the stairs to watch tv. You could not see the screen from the couch. This would be an easy fix if the television was mounted on wall above the fridge.

Overall this was a great property. The staff was friendly, for the most part. They gave us good ideas of what to do in Siena, and how to take the bus there. There is a restaurant in the hotel, which is a bit high end, and they serve delicious food.

We had a bit of a problem being able to get glasses for our room. We got the impression that they don’t want you to buy your own bottle of wine and enjoy it in the room. I may be wrong, but one of the front desk girls really resisted giving us glasses, and I had to say I want to drink water out of a glass…. instead of my water bottle, in order to get a couple of water glasses. Never mind a wine glass!!

beautiful traditional Italian country house hotel. All staff were terrific; reception staff were really helpful and friendly (especially Sean originally from US). Breakfast good with waitress so eager to help and please. rooms are a good size with really comfy beds. Regular bus to Siena outside- buy tkts at Reception and be sure to queue on same side as hotel. Road outside hotel has no pavements so not advised to walk far but Pizzeria at local campsite is worth a try just a 5 minute (careful) walk away. All in all; a lovely hotel with lovely gardens just a 10 minute taxi ride away from central Siena.

The property is a stunning Tuscan Villa with amazing views towards Siena and the Tuscan hills and a lovely gardens. There is a perched patio area with a good amount of seats to sit and take in the stunning views. The staff very excellent very attentive and friendly, nothing was a bother for them. The food was lovely with lovely apéritif’s. Good buffet breakfast. Villa also has a pool which was closed for season but opens again in April. There is also a car park on the right as you go through gates to property. There is a bus stop outside property with 2 buses an hour into Siena for €1.50 a journey or there are always taxis which came in about 5mins.

Beautiful gardens and views. The staff were outstanding and very friendly. The bed was comfortable and the shower was large with lots of hot water.

If we had a gripe it was that there was very little storage in our room. If you want to just visit Siena then it's easy to get the bus or a taxi. If however you want to get around Tuscan then a car is a must.

We had a very spacious and quiet room (#27) with lots of atmosphere, I loved it. Great beds. The personnel is attentive, very kind and helpful. The Villa has beautoful surroundings, among which a lovely terrace with a view over the Italian hills. The swimming pool was great and very welcome in the 30 degree heat. Siena is an exquisite town to visit, it takes around 8 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bus. I didn't want to leave and even tried to come back after our second accomodation didn't meet our expectations. They were fully booked, and I understand why. I will come back !

Some people say the bathrooms need a renovation, but I disagree. Maybe a little bit outdated but our bathroom had charming tiles, was clean, spacious and ventilated. All you need.

This is an attractive, comfortable hotel with lovely flowered filled scented gardens to relax and cool off after the heat, seeing the sights in Siena. The pool is a good size. The staff are so courteous and helpful; a real credit to the hotel. Also, the bus stop is right outside the hotel which provides a quick 1 euro ride into town.

The breakfasts are not really up to a four star boutique hotel. They could so easily be elevated with a press for fresh orange juice, etc. Cold hard boiled eggs are not great in the morning.

We loved the breakfast each day. Lynn and Ruth were so sweet and friendly offering to bring eggs and coffee. Food was very good and atmosphere very beautiful The staff is really wonderful

Visiting Siena in hot June can be a challenge. Staying our three Siena nights at this historically renowned hotel was a winner. Our (basic) room was divided into two floors, with the bed upstairs, and a nice view of the garden from our window. The main building had a lovely breakfast room, while dinner was served outside in the beautiful garden. The personnel were very polite and service capable. The swimming pool area was nicely positioned into the garden. There was a terrace with a panoramic view towards Siena city, approx. 2 km away. Siena was easily reached by bus or taxi. We could really feel the history of this hotel, where numerous celebrities have stayed on their holidays from the past.

The breakfast was wonderful, lots of fresh fruit, great selection of juices, loved the kiwi juice! The staff was very helpful, the breakfast room was nice with nice linens and dishware. The croissants, pastries were delicious and fresh eggs were an added bonus. The grounds are amazing, very relaxing, the gardens are very lovely, I did not have time to go to the pool, but it looked inviting. The bar area was nice and made us a great Negroni. Our room was great, very large room and I liked all the antique furnishings. loved the pretty ceiling.

could of had conditioner for your hair in the bathroom. They only had a combined body wash and shampoo.
