Was a perfect location for my trip around Napier and Hastings. Gwen is a great and welcoming host giving tips for places to go ,and helped me out with a charging chord loan☺️ her b&b is a perfect little getaway. Fantastic stay I highly recommend, her breakfast was a yum start to the day with coffee, ham and cheese croissant and toast. I loved that she has darker towels great for my dyed purple hair, and good to use over the white bedding while air drying my hair. Just to note as by the roadside if you're a light sleeper it might be best to bring ear plugs, but you get used to the sounds of cars passing anyway.

All looked very new and very clean. Very comfortable bed. Very friendly welcome and local information from the owner. It said on Booking.com that there was no parking available but in fact there is off road parking right next to the unit. Lots of breakfast stuff left in the fridge each day. There is a bit of noise from the road outside (we had the windows open at night) but it didn’t really disturb us. Nice steak dinners at Shani’s Family Eatery a short walk along the road

Stayed here for 11 nights while visiting family in the area. Thistle B&B was perfect for our needs and gave us some private space when we needed it. Gwen was the perfect host, always available when needed but invisible the rest of the time. Breakfast was good, bed was very comfortable and the location was also very good, just a few mins walk from Taradale shops and cafes.

The host was so welcoming and made sure that everything was set up for our stay. Because it was such a cold, rainy day, Gwen(the host) helped draw the drapes, set the heat pump for us and showed me how to set the television. Such a lovely kind lady. The whole unit was immaculate and clean. Bed was so comfortable.

Friendly and welcoming hosts. Very clean and nicely decorated. Excellent breakfast lots of choice and lots of it. Good location to dog parks, shops, and short driving distance to Napier centre. Dog friendly.

Room was facing main road so traffic noise night. Although expected as this was stated up front in information on booking site.

Good location, parking onsite, clean room with lots of breakfast food provided, the b&b has been well thought through in terms of the needs and comforts of the guests. good wifi too. walking distance to food, and short drive to great walks with outstanding views of the city

We had everything we needed. The fridge was stocked with a yummy breakfast of toast and crossiants, ham, cheese and spreads. Plus juice AND couple of beers to enjoy after a long day. Gwen was also so friendly and there to meet and farewell us. The fact I could bring my dog was a huge drawcard too.

Nice BB 10-min away from Napier by car. Venue is renovated and spotless; comfy bed and great TV channels!! you can park own car. Fresh products provided for breakfast. Hosts very courteous and approachable. So thoughtful they left fresh juices and beer for us on day of arrival! Thank YOU!

Good welcome and briefing by Gwen - and same debrief as we left. Good personal touches, and loved the beer on arrival. The test is - will you go back again? Planning to!!!
