Our stay at Thatchcombe b&b was perfect,beautiful accomodation with everything you could ever need and situated in fabulous gardens. The continental breakfast was lovely and made extra special by being served on our terrace in the sunshine. Astrid and Tony are the loveliest people and so welcoming. Astrid kindly drove us to our party venue taking a small detour to show us the sights. On our return we were invited by Tony to join a get-together around the firepit with him and his friends which was a perfect end to a perfect day.

This is the kind of place that you feel incredibly lucky to stay at and it seems really kind that they've gone to all this effort to welcome you into their world. The room is really high quality, bed comfortable and lots of nice little touches, you open the curtains onto the garden and river with the sun beaming through the trees and birds I've never even seen in England before. Go upstairs and they've laid out a super tasty breakfast of fruit, pastries, meats etc., just for you! The garden its self is stunning with bee hives, vineyard, orchids and then walks are straight out of the back gate and into the beautiful countryside. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay.

Everything was just wonderful about this marvellous getaway. We were greeted with a smile by Charlie and we knew straightaway that we were in for a treat. The room has everything that you could wish for - comfortable bed, sumptuous furnishings, glorious bathroom, and a frig with juice and milk. There was even a jar of locally produced honey! The grounds of the house are magnificent and we were encouraged to wander freely. Breakfast was to die for and Charlie could not do enough for us. What a wonderful stay.

An utterly idyllic hidden gem! We have never come across such stunning accommodation, hospitality or location. A warm welcome, cosy pad, yummy breakfast, helpful hosts who go above & beyond suggesting day plans (including maps & wellies if you forgot them like me!) and gorgeous dogs (& ducks!). We walked 15mins to The Greyhound in the village for dinner which was excellent. We will most certainly be returning, thank you ever so much!

You will be warmly welcomed by Tony & Astrid The b&b is located in a quiet area, within walking distance of a pub (where you the food is great) and within walking distance of Wantage. The room is spacious and beautifully decorated, you will find everything you need In short, a pearl to stay in !

Faultless. Lovely, comfortable room, very well equipped, beautiful location - wonderful grounds to explore - and excellent hosts. We especially appreciated the effort Tony and Astrid went to when we decided to eat in with a take-away one evening and they turned the patio outside our room into a delightful, cosy, romantic snug - candles, tablecloth, stove, cushions, blankets. It was lovely!

The view is exceptional and deserves 5 *. A beautiful location for walks, really thoughtful, accommodating hosts who made us feel very welcome. The room was immaculate and had a beautifully appointed, superb quality ensuite. A generous selection of complimentary juices, teas and biscuits in room and honey made on site. Comfy beds with lovely crisp linen and even a hot water bottle. Could not have asked for more.

Felt so lucky we stumbled upon this BnB. It was so perfect! Even better than what the pictures show. The surrounding area is so beautiful. Tony & Astrid made us feel at home. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise.

Beautiful location, perfectly placed for peace and quiet but also walking distance to a pub!

The weather meant we couldn’t enjoy the garden facilities or surrounding walks as much as we would have liked. But that is not a fault with the property, more the British weather.
