Love the concept, great decor and comfortable room

A little out of the way of where we needed but the price point made up for it. Would have been great to have a couple more amenities in the room, eg a vanity kit/cotton wool. Heated appliances were great to see but there was no signage and hidden switch to turn on that we didn’t find out about until check out, so would have been useful to actually use them!

Comfortable bed and room. Everything we needed was there. Staff friendly and obliging. Free parking. Liked the water points for fresh cold water and much better than a kettle for hot drinks. We had 2 rooms and we were placed near each other. Decoration and finishes were lovely. Food and drinks at the diner were very good but service was disappointing.

The lights seemed to be on or off would have liked own bedside lights. Would have also liked a mini safe. Service at the diner was very slow we booked a table at 7.30pm but did not get our food until 8.30pm. And a couple of drinks orders were wrong. We actually watched people come in after us who were served and eating their dessert before we got our mains. The food was very good though just too slow ☹️

Lounge area deco, unlimited hot & cold drinks. Plus 24 hr access to bar. Free parking & drink facilities in room and access to water on landing.& the Staff of course both hotel and Diner side. The shower pressure was amazing & the Dyson hair accessory. The house keeper done amazing job. The easy access to Diner.. The TV information board was great.

Room window view wasn't great, a workman sight. A horried drain smell at times. No side light at bedside, all lights operating at the same time. (I hate the dark). Kettle in room would have been nicer. Extremely disappointed that the EV charging stations were inoperable even though the website clearly states they were & that's the reason I booked with yourselves. I feel it was over priced considering you still had to go and buy food at the Diner which can add up. For the price I paid a free breakfast should have been included. location wasn't the best. Would I visit again yes BUT only overnight or rest stop on route to other locations. No tissues on drinks counter no access to a normal side bin and maybe some complimentary biscuits/cakes on drinks counter.

Great room (spotless) + great chilled + boiled water in hallway, great shower, great bed (especially the pillows that were soooo, 'just right,' the shape / not too hard / not too soft ) in fact the full 'baby bear' effect. + REALLY GREAT staff (especially Daryll) Great that the diner was so adjacent + M&S & the cash machine for the am take off.

The bedside lighting - the round globes (that only light up as a pair) are visually attractive but functionally not conducive for reading in bed or for the comfort of your partner who may want to sleep - we have experienced this oversight in many of the excellent hotels where we have stayed on our travels.

We stayed in a family bunk room which was fab, not only a great novelty ( felt like being on sleeper train) the bunks were cosy, spacious, and clean. The facilities were excellent- great to have a separate toilet and shower as a family room with luxury Cowshed products. There was a cold & hot filtered water tap on each floor and bottles and glasses to decant into, the tv was easy to cast too and good free WiFi. The small touches really do make your stay special.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Beautifully quiet, well appointed rooms. Very comfortable and large beds (a must for a couple suffering from back issues), Cowshed toiletries, a pair of ghds and a Dyson hairdryer. Powerful rain shower, and large white fluffy towels. Negatives for the room, too hot and unventilated. Duvets too thick, feather pillows, which are too hard and spiky, windows that can’t be opened and air conditioning, which was evidently controlled and turned off by the motel reception. If pillows matter to you, for your head and neck, then I would recommend that you take your own, which we will both do on our next visit. Loved the complimentary tea and coffee in the reception area. Staff were fantastic throughout the motel, as they were in the Motel’s diner. Breakfast was delicious and the bottomless filter coffee was very good value, and very palatable. I strongly disagree with card only payment in the diner. Technology isn’t future proof nor consistently reliable, power cuts and internet outages occur, therefore it should be made legal that all establishments like this should accept cash, as well as card payment. Would they allow you to eat for free should they have technical issues, or revert to cash? This is something we should all be asking ourselves! Don’t forget to book your table for breakfast in advance of your stay, as they get very busy.

Cashless! Unable to control room temperature, or have a better selection of pillows, duvets that are too thick and hot.

Everything about my stay at the hotel was absolutely amazing! From the welcoming staff to the delicious food, every moment was delightful. A memorable surprise for my birthday truly made me feel special, adding a personal touch to my visit. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring I had the restful nights I needed. I was particularly impressed with the bath products; I regret not purchasing any before I left! And let’s not forget the coffee - it was simply fantastic! Overall, I had a wonderful experience and can't wait to return.

We were given the wrong room to what was booked. This was sorted out immediately without any fuss. The room we were swapped to was fantastic. It was accessible, on the ground floor, with a lovely view over fields. The bed was comfortable, the duvet warm and pillows were just right. The room was clean and the air fresh. The whole hotel is relaxing with a calming environment. The lounge area with free tea and coffee is great to sit and work or relax in. The staff are friendly and professional, and they went above and beyond to help us. Mark, who served our nightcap drinks, was especially nice to us. The hotel is in a very convenient location for Swindon, Oxford, Uffington, and Witney. Wish there were more Mollies hotels, especially in the east anglia region.

The first incorrect room was on the 2nd floor. We had booked a ground floor accessible garden view room. This mistake was not the fault of the hotel. There's a communication glitch, which means the hotel doesn't get the information from this site regarding the room booked and accessibility needs. The diner was so dark inside in the evening that we couldn't read the menus. It's not a cosy or comfortable place to eat. Beware, the diner adds an automatic 10% service tip to the bill. I dont know where or to whom the 10% tip is going. I tip the staff who us served directly.

Generally we were happy with our stay and the attention from staff was excellent. This was our first stay at Mollie's Faringdon. We will be returning to the area frequently to visit family. Pricing is important as we will always look for the best comparable rates.

There was an unpleasant odour from the sink/drain which was located in the bedroom. Storage for clothes very limited - We mainly lived out of our suitcases! A bottle of Sauvignon blanc was cheaper by the glass. I purchased a bottle - 3 large glasses 250ml was less money than purchasing a full bottle 750ml - Very unusual!!

Everything was great really - arrived late and staff super cheery and helpful and the facilities from the reception bar to the room layout and modern style were great. As we were late arriving we managed to get food in the adjacent diner - they had closed to new customers but they made an exception and allowed us to sit and have anything from the drive thru menu which was so kind and most appreciated. Staff again at the diner super kind and just lively to chat to - service spot on, food EXCELLENT!

The air con in the room was not great just based on the family room layout of 4 beds as bunks so the cool air never makes it into the bed pod areas. Means the room is quite stuffy with 4 adults in - as it was for us. Bathroom was good - shower was a bit unusual as no privacy to change in as the sliding door had been sealed closed clearly due to a functional issue with swollen wood from water from the shower. Great plan for the room but just sadly didn’t work in reality.
