Such a quaint little house; it really felt like a home, even though we were only there for one night. Loved the little tour with the history, and it was fun to find all the duck-themed surprises over our stay! I'll specify that it isn't a hotel, and I think that's a good thing. I'd recommend the place to anyone who wants somewhere cosy, with a bit of history and human connection. It felt like staying at a good friend's house, rather than a sterile & boring hotel. We will definitely be back!

The house was a lovely heritage building, with lots of history connected to the area. The hosts were excellent, always available and happy to accommodate any requests. Food was excellent and it was ideally located for our purposes. Warm and snug and all things well explained.

The shower was a bit dodgy and hard to regulate. Once it got going and got the temperature right it was alright but the pressure wasn't the best.

This was such a lovely little old cottage. The owners were such a delight, very friendly and knowledgeable about the best places to visit, and we did just that, visited the locations that they suggested and we were not disappointed. Would definitely recommend to friends and family visiting Burnie.

It was comfortable, had everything we needed, was walking distance to town, and it had character. The breakfast supplies were amazing and host Lynne was very hospitable.

This is a fabulous 'experience' stay. While recommended to us by our contact in Burnie, we wanted something quirky or different. The Duck House supplied both. The breakfast was also very, very nice and with free reign on the 'back garden' for fresh herbs, was a great start to the day

The master bed was a little firm
