We liked everything. Location was ideal being on the actual point of Soldiers Point. We observed sunrise & sunset with the turn of our heads. Of course not at the same time (haha). Cabin was well set out, clean, tidy & spacious . Staff were friendly & helpful. The grounds were well maintained & it was a beautiful walk in & around it. The pool was located near to our accommodation. I loved the family of ducks that walk about the grounds. It was a peaceful & relaxing holiday destination. We have already recommended it to our friends & family.

The only thing I didn't like was the toaster. We used the griller instead so it was no big deal. It's probably not even worth mentioning. We loved everything about Thou Walla Retreat.

We loved our little glamping spot, it was comfortable and plenty of room for our family of 4 with the kids in their own closed off section. The day bed was such a lovely spot to sit and look out at the trees and the water, just watch out because the possums will hop right on your lap to try to get your snacks! (We loved this encounter with nature though!) We also saw a koala!! So close to delicious food at the marina, gorgeous sunsets over the beach, calm beaches surrounding which were perfect for our toddlers to play around at. We will be back!

Our tent was right by the marina (tent 3) and surrounded by trees FULL with hundreds of corellas (birds) that would not shut up all. Night. Long. It didn't really affect our sleep, our kids had white noise, but in future I'd opt for tents 7-10 if I had the choice. Also, pool was freezing, wish it were heated, that's not so much a gripe but if I could change anything that would be it.

The location is great — everything like the beach, fishing spots, supermarket, and restaurants are all just a short drive away. The reception staff were always friendly and responded quickly to any requests. If I travel to this area again for either business or leisure, I’ll definitely stay here again.

It was a bit of a downside that there was only one bathroom, but overall, it’s a great place for the price.

Glamping in Tent 1 was very peaceful, very clean and so close to the beach for walking and viewing the sunset. Toilet and bathroom facilities were clean, the swimming pool was beautiful, the female receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Location was excellent, so quiet and peaceful with plenty of trees and greenery. BBQ facilities were very clean. Nothing to fault. Highly recommend for a weekend away.

Close to the water and set in nature with all the elements at your fingertips to decompress and have some fantastic family fun.

The setting is beautiful and the beds in the glamping tent very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly , there is a nice sized tv and microwave in the tent and the bathroom facilities were always clean and available .

The location was excellent. Very quiet and relaxing , walking around the headland, along the beach. The sunsets were amazzing The marina restaurants and coffee shops just a5 minute walk. The pool and villas were clean and comfortable. Every thing that you needed was in the villa. Sitting on the villas deck a koala decided to come down from the tree and walk along the ground not more than 20mtre.from us, that was special.

Everything was great , we liked everything about this place

It was the quiet season and rainy but we sat on the front veranda outside our glamping tent and watched the ocean, koalas, a possum ran right in front of our feet. It was the most magical day, completely with nature (which is a big say for me as I live in a van normally so am normally in nature). Toilet and shower block was average but clean.

We really loved the area around the tents with the beautiful sunsets. The bed was very comfortable. We liked that the toilet and bathroom are seperate. Reception was very friendly and helpful.

I would suggest to have basic items such as salt and pepper and better dish washing equipment such as a brush etc. Cloths provided weren't ideal.

Perfect location! In a lovely quiet spot in Port Stephens but still close enough to all the attractions. Walking distance to the Deck and Bannisters for food/drinks. Lovely sunset view just across the road. Incredibly clean, lovely staff and quiet location. We loved the sea view villa - did not feel like a holiday park at all! Spotless clean and the air con was appreciated.

We had a great stay at Thou Walla! The location was perfect—peaceful and surrounded by nature. Despite some bad weather during our trip, the tent stayed warm, cozy, and totally comfortable. The bed was surprisingly plush and made for a great night’s sleep. A great experience overall, and we’d definitely come back!
