The convenience of entering and exiting with two large dogs also the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very cleaned which was definitely a plus for me, I thought maybe there would be a smell of animals in the halls and or rooms from other people staying but no Sir, these rooms were exceptionally cleaned. I loved that there was also an external door to exit with my dogs without even going through the halls, so yes you have the door entering from the halls and a door exiting beach front. very clean bathroom, soft towels and linen.

I wish there was more light on the backside beach front at night, walking from the room to the beach at night seemed as if I was walking a dark alley way. so that kind of creeped me without my dogs so I wouldn't go to the beach and just sit and relate which was something I truly would have loved to do. 1 more little thing, I wish that I would have been given a key for the beachfront nob lock or maybe Comfort Inn will consider also having a badge reader for the outside door as well. I don't know maybe that's imposable for outside beach front door access

The location was perfect. We had an oceanview room which was perfect because my handicapped spouse can't walk on the beach. Loved our beach view. Although the hotel is a bit older, it was extremely clean, comfortable and quiet! Everyone of the the staff members were pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious, the breakfast as well as the food at the grill. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return again. 💖

The staff was top-notch! I reached out four or five times before arrived and received professional and friendly service every time. Apparently, they noted the communication because upon arrival there was a mix-up that they were quickly able to remedy. The room was delightful! Huge TV, the fridge was great -the freezer truly froze stuff! The heater/AC worked well and quickly. The bathroom was well and comfortably stocked. Nice size closet, too. One of the absolute best things was that we stayed in a room that faced the sand dunes -which had a large deck out the back door and two plastic chairs to relax and listen to the ocean. Bonus: there was a large deck that overlooked the ocean, maybe 20ft x 12ft, that had many Adirondak and other chairs to sit on -also, a few high tables to put drinks on. This was the first time I have traveled with a pet, but it will not be my last! We had a Great Pyrenees that had a blast! The on-site dog park was a surprise we loved. The wooden fence was about 3ft tall, but was sturdy and well-kept, with a concrete bench to sit on. This allowed our dog to run off-leash multiple times a day for extended periods of time alone! There were other dogs at the hotel, but somehow no one came at the same time we were there over the four days we visited =) The breakfasts were nice, too. Lots of scrambled eggs, bagels, waffles, and either sausage patties or bacon, yogurt, orange juice, coffee, and tea. The on-site Grill was amazing! Their chicken tenders and onion rings were delicious!

What didn't we like? The tub was slow draining -but we called and within 15mins a repair man came up and fixed it!! And we didn't like having to leave -giggling! But that wasn't their fault! We will gladly return -and happily recommend this hotel to anyone we can.

Checking in at the counter was a breeze. The front desk greeted us and gave us good customer service to me and my daughter.

Once checked in my room - not realizing my door did not lock. I did put the latch on it. The next morning when I was going to get breakfast is when I realized the door did not lock. I stopped at the front desk and reported the situation. The maintenance guy was there and before I could get back to my room he was behind me. He checked the problem and said he will come back. I left my room to go shopping and when I returned - my door was fixed. I didn't like that my door could not be locked but I was thankful that it was fixed with a remarkable maintenance guy.

2 "maintenance issues": Bathroom exhaust fan ran 24 hrs; Cold air blew in from around wall mounted HVAC unit. Fan may be because of location (Salty/humid oceanfront) and was solved by closing the door. The leak at HVAC unit I covered with a towel but it caused the unit to run excessively. This created an unbalance in room heating. Neither one was reported to management as they were not significant enough to me to bother. The hotel is +50 years old and I'm sure the wall unit has been replaced at some time. The leak would not be an issue in the summer.

The staff was very nice and helpful. When we made the reservation on Booking.com, it didn't have a place to put where we needed a pet friendly room, although I put in pet friendly hotels. The sweet lady at the front desk when we arrived upgraded us to a pet friendly room. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

There wasn't anything to complain about. The only issue really was that the past guests in our room had dropped grapes on the patio, which were not cleaned up, and we have dogs, and they can not eat grapes. I had to clean up the grapes so my dogs wouldn't eat them. But that is the only issue we had.

We drove 14 hours. We have never been to OBX. The ocean view from our room was breathtaking. The beach access was so nice. The front desk staff was really friendly and inviting. Other staff was also nice.

We had a few things in our room that could be fixed. The toilet ran the whole time, and the balcony door wouldn't shut unless slammed. The towel rack was not secure. Overall, the room was really clean, though. I have worked in hotels, so I usually wipe everything down, and it was clean.

Motel was good, location was good and I thought the price was good for oceanfront.

Hotel needs some serious updating--tub was peeling where it looked like it might have been painted and that was coming off. There was a hole between tub and toilet. Door to balcony would not lock, other than using the flip over piece on it, carpet in room was loose and ragged where it joined the tile, saw that in the hallway as well, Beds were comfortable, but need bigger pillows. It's not a bad place to stay, just needs some updating.

Perfect location. Close to restaurants and shopping. Restaurant and bar in the hotel were exceptional . One woman band in the hotel restaurant was exceptional. She took our orders ,cooked,served our meals and was the bar tender. Wonderful personality and easy to talk to. All staff were friendly and helpful. We had a room with the dune view complete with a private patio. Nice decking to the beach. Nice breakfast each morning. Will definitely stay again!

Everything on our stay went well. Staff was polite and accommodating. Property was clean and well maintained despite being an older building. We didn't swim but pool was clear and not cloudy. Beach access was nice, and breakfast was good. Only thing that would have been an improvement would be a lower price, but we understand that it is peak season and demand for rooms is high. Have stayed there before and will likely again next time we go the outer banks.
