The outside picnic area and very close proximity to the beach, pier and restaurants. Bedding and towels appeared to be very clean and well-maintained.

Shower was dingy and had stained grout with build up giving it the appearance of not being clean. Lots of dust on backside of bathroom door. One of the beds was very squeaky. Very sparse furnishings. Also, there was a weird man (the owner maybe?) who was out front just staring at people the morning we left and then later when we were packing the car to leave he just sat outside the room across from us just smoking and staring at our every move. Kind of creepy!

it is a wonderful location right by great coffee, shops and beach access. The staff are very warm and welcoming. And it's good value for the money.

The rooms are pretty clean. I thought that the floor could've used a little bit more of a mopping. They tend to vacuum up all the sand, but I'm not sure if they mop. The other thing is the room was small. We have a big dog and so we had a big crate and a bed for him and that took up most of the space in the room.

Very basic and a bit overpriced accommodations. No breakfast offered. Easy to park off street and convenient location to walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. Appreciate that they are dog friendly.

Towels and linens were clean but a bit worn. The mattress platform is metal so it’s easy to kick making a loud bang. Not only are you making the bang, you can hear the bangs in the neighboring rooms’ guests. We find it funny but it could be annoying if heard late at night.

Very quaint and well kept outside and inside. Great location for walking to antique stores, coffee shops and the pier. Very quiet as we were either the only customers or 1 of two.

The bed was on some kind of metal platform and everytime you accidentally made contact it made this loud and very disconcerting noise. The refrigerator also was very loud when the motor kicked on... We were only there one night so it wasn't a big deal but I am a light sleeper so it was annoying all night long.

The location was amazing! Right across the street from beach access and a block away from shopping/eating. The staff were kind and helpful. The room was comfortable with good beds (not super soft), a nice-sized shower, extra amenities (shower gel, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste), and non-carpeted, which is good being that sand can be tracked in! I loved the small property and great price!

I think it was a little dated, which might not be liked by others. But it was fine for me with all of the other perks!

Fantastic location if needing a place to stay half way between LA and SFO Hotel management was super friendly and helpful (even early morning when I knocked for some milk) Super clean rooms with an excellent shower Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants (Sea Shanty was awesome for a meal!)

Liquid creamer should be made available in rooms, not just the powder kind

The location was conveniently located close to downtown and beach. Linens were really old and threadbare and facility could use an upgrade. Had problem with check in. I bought the room through Booking.com, and the check in clerk couldn't find my reservation and took a long time to resolve it.

Checking in problem and old linens and slightly run down facility. Plus, people who run the place smoked in the open courtyard outside our room

Clean, comfortable, and equipped with the important things: microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker. Quiet (although it was a quiet weekday night off season), with reasonable amount of light blocking.

Rooms are small, coffee offered is terrible, heating/cooling unit is loud.

The owners were so incredibly friendly and accommodating! My husband usually brings extra pillows but he forgot this time and they gave him a couple of extras. We had also forgotten our key inside the room once and the owners graciously gave us another one. There was always someone available. The room was pretty standard, clean, huge shower and good water pressure with pump style bottles of soap attached to the walls.

so nice to stay here. we had a 1 night stay here with our lil pup chihuahua. beautiful sights and walking distance to the beach and cute lil restaurants. we had a wonderful time! very clean and comfy stay. it was our first time here and definitely will not be our last! friendly host and friendly atmosphere. thank you!
