Lovely charactered lounge areas, all beautifully maintained. Cosy, comfy rooms. Super clean.

The breakfast included in the tariff was only available from 8-9am. It was too early and brief for us for a weekend stay, when we wanted to enjoy a bit of a sleep-in and we missed it both mornings. Even just extending it to 9.30 would have done the trick.

We returned to historic Kurrara Guest house , our last stay was 30 yrs ago in 1995. It was so lovely to return. It is even more homely , with beautiful decor , antiques , lovely fabrics , all in Victorian / Edwardian theme. Evelyn and her husband were so welcoming and she recommended all the walks and view points in the Blue Mountains area nearby. Evelyn is the editor of the Blue Mountains tourist guide so her knowledge, history , & advice was invaluable for our stay. We loved our 2 day break here. Next time we will book the bedroom we stayed in 30 yrs ago (it had a four poster bed but think it was booked up ) to reminisce. Our bedroom we had this time was cosy and comfy. Breakfast great too. Highly recommend this guest house , will return.

Very comfortable beds with electric mattress pads to warm up on winter nights. Fresh passionfruit and avocados at breakfast. Also, thanks for stocking soy and almond milk!

It was a little too far from the train station to comfortably walk with all our bags, so we had to take a short cab ride. But the neighborhood was quiet and close to hiking trails.

Loved the old timey feel. Loved the books on the shelves everywhere - especially the old sci-fi novels. The bed was nice and plus and the electric blankets were amazing. Breakfast was a veritable feast. We had a problem with the spa and the proprietor was quick to assist.

Creaky! With thin walls! We were on the bottom floor and we could hear every footstep upstairs. We were also right next to the breakfast room, so it didn't feel very peaceful sometimes. Also, the creakiest floorboard in the entire house was right outside our door. An alarm went off at a 5:30am in the morning. No one was around to turn it off :(

I The position was a short walk to bus which covered Katoomba and Echo Point and a short walk to the Cascades. It was really enjoyable to share a coffee or a wine with fellow travellers at the end of the day and listen to what they discovered or learn a little about their home country or State. If you just wanted to read or watch tv and not socialise there was the perfect room that gave you that opportunity.

I feally feel the cold, why go in in late Autumn? After a day out and about with a little rain and feeling chilled, all I wanted was a heater, the home is warmish and you can feel the difference when you enter but a small beam of glowing warmth would have been appreciated. They were waiting for a repair person for the gas/electric heater.

Had the pleasure of staying at Kurrara Guest House. The house is gorgeous and the staff wonderful and welcoming. The room was simple and tasteful, very clean, and the bed super comfy. The morning breakfasts are really great and the dining areas really lovely. There's an amazing selection of DVDs to keep anyone entertained for hours on end. The location is fantastic, pretty much in the middle in-between the Shopping areas and Echo Point. We were so happy here and will definitely be staying here again next time!

Breakfast was adequate but limited in choice and a little sparse.

The property has an old, world charm that reminded me of special places we visited inUK. Lovely touches like a reading room and DVD’s you could borrow and watch. A gorgeous sitting room to read, make a cup of tea or coffee. Selections of teas and coffee machine any time. Staff so welcoming and accommodating. Bed very comfortable and room really clean.

Was easy to hear other people that were a little loud late at night. The wind was very strong and the property is set high - something on the roof banged all night and so had poor sleep.

What a beautiful property. On the first floor there is a comfortable sitting area and a breakfast room where you could get treats throughout the day. Room was spacious and comfortable. Sits 5 minutes from Scenic World in Blue Mountains Unfortunately our stay was cut short as I broke my leg after a fall in the mountains. My husband inadvertently left my kindle behind. The owner, Iian was so kind to bring it to me in the hospital.

Kurrara house is very welcoming, well set out rooms with ensuite. Safe & quiet area. Use of all the lovely decorated lounge and dinning rooms. Tea & coffee facilities 24/7. As we were late there you are able to bring takeaways back and be comfortable having dinner with drinks. Hosts provide a great breakfast range in the sun room a great way to start exploring for the day. We will return.
