From the moment I checked it I felt at home. My room, 228 overlooked one of the stunning 3 pools the resort has. The bathroom was renovated and the room was spotless, the balcony was perfect for a few afternoon sundowners. The position is spot on with access to the beach and nearby Warungs. The staff are warm and attentive and the spa treatments are a relaxing addition to the resort.

My only feedback would be guests claiming sun lounges from 7.30am and not returning until 3pm. The hotel would benefit from some signs on lounges to remove belongings after 30min - 1hr to be fair to other guests.

Perfect location quiet and not many people.

There are renovations going on at the moment so when you are at the pool a lot of banging ect happening. It would have been nice to know about that before we booked.

This was my 5th stay at the Griya and will keep going back. Location and service can’t be beat.

Nothing- thought the breakfast buffet was a bit tired last time I was there but pleased to see they have made some enhancements. Likewise the restaurant food was excellent.

Loved it . Perfect stay in a deluxe room. The bed was very confortable, we slept very well. Big room and shower. Good air conditionning. No moskitos because the doors close very well. Beautiful gardens, we had a room with a nice balcony with the swimming pool view, very relaxing and quiet. The gardens are beautiful, it’s very zen and relaxing. We just loved the breakfast, a lot of choices and variety with a nice view. Great service. Loved the tea. I really like swimming in the pool , all the beach and swimming pool transat are very confortable. They have 3 great swimming pools. All the staff are very helpful and nice . They call you in the room to make sure you are ok and don’t need anything. They are kind and give you a lot of Information. I really enjoyed the welcome drink. I ordered it every days :-) and asked them the recipe. Close to everything. The beach is nice but the water can be low because of the tides, easier to swim in the pools. It was clean, they clean everything around the transat. It’s an ok beach not beautiful but ok for a nice walk . Great experience, we will come back. What makes a différence is the staff and high level of service.

Location is fabulous. Bed was large & comfy & good selection of luxuries supplied. Three options for pools & the ocean on the doorstep. Staff friendly, polite & helpful.

We stayed four days & only managed to secure a pool lounger on the last day at the small pool for the period of time we needed it. Staff need to police the saving of pool chairs to allow all guests a ‘turn’ as although there were none free most were being used by a towel/sarong someone had placed there claiming it early for the day! Seems minor but our purpose for staying was to relax & we weren’t able to do that near any of the pools. For the size of the resort & the number of people staying the breakfast seating area & food options were limited.

Excellent resort. very helpful staff, particularly Gusti on the reception area who was so helpful and polite, nothing we asked was a trouble. room was spacious and clean, housekeeping fabulous!

Maybe some policing of people putting towels on sun beds and leaving them for hours would be helpful!

Staff very helpful, attentive and connective with good English. Housekeeping excellent. Restaurant and breakfast were good without being outstanding. The Balinese massage and the pedicure were very good.

We found it hard to communicate the arrangement of sheets we were after. With the spa centre (massages), the advertised price was Rp500k, but with add-ons was Rp605k, we'd have preferred the full price upfront. I last stayed here 27 years ago, and for a resort hotel of 50+ years, it has been amazingly well maintained. Unfortunately, there were several signs that management has been told to cut costs - disappointing, though staff are doing it as well as they can. The swimming pool lacks shade, so the water was quite warm.

The property is on the beach front with flat walking on paths . The 3 pools allowed for leisurely quiet swimming or pool bar if wanted. If you have children and like to sit at pool bar it was a great set up. They had bar stools in the shallow pool so parents can chill within meters of children - excellent. Convenience stores and great restaurants 100 meter walk down safe flat path.

No drying rack for outside , some rooms see to have- maybe I could have asked 😆

i would like to thank the staff on how they handled a medical emergency i had with my husband when he had a fall in our bedroom which they quickly had a DR come to our room and attend to us .Dr was extremely good and helped us.thank you so very much gail and ross coomber

i was dissappointed on arrival when it had been confirmed by the hotel that the room we requested was .available to us only to find out it was not as large renovations were taking place near the pool area.Had we been advised of this it may have made a difference to us as to wether we stayed .We like to stay in traditional balinese decor because we love Bali.However you did try to accomadate us in many ways

We stayed mid-December, and the resort was quiet. We regularly had a pool to ourselves. The gardens are beautiful, and our room was spacious and renovated. We enjoyed the balcony and how quiet it was on the 3rd floor. Breakfast suited us with enough variety. Staff are all excellent. I enjoyed the free yoga session too. Location and cycling, using bicycles hired from hotel, along the beachwalk added to the experience.

The meals from the restaurant do not match the standard of what you can get in local restaurants.
