All staff we encountered were friendly, helpful?efficient. Food was excellent.Location very good.

Bedroom looked out on main road which was very busy both with traffic and revellers also room very hot(no air conditioning)so it was a trade off between keeping window closed and being uncomfortably hot or open window and endure noise, either way made sleeping difficult.I would also say hotel not suitable for people with mobility issues as no lifts or ramps for wheelchairs etc.All in all though enjoyed our stay and if ever back in Mullingar would stay again providing bedroom was not facing out on main road

Very good value in centre of Mullingar providing private car parking space also with easy access at the back of the hotel. staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful and absolutely delicious breakfast. Got food also at the bar in the evening and it was lovely with nice lively atmosphere. Good size room for the money with enough sockets, coffee making facilities and good shower. Very clean also

if you are light sleeper ask for a room at the back of the hotel, there is a lot of noise at the front side being right next to road, there was also construction work in the morning. probably unusual for ireland but room was quite warm especially as I had to close the windows due the noise.

We arrived a bit early, so we decided to have lunch in the restaurant while we waited. The panini and toastie melts were unreal. The staff were extremely friendly. The location is in the heart of mullingar town, its so central to shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs, and about a 10 minute walk to the train station. The beds were so comfy, and the free tea, coffee, hot chocolate and tea cakes in the room were such a nice treat to welcome you into you room (we stayed in 208). We had dinner and a few drinks in the uylssebar, good was so good And we were so impressed with the breakfast the next morning. We would definitely stay here again!, great experience

If I had to fault anything it would be that there was no lift, but apart from that I couldn't say anything bad about our stay

Very centrally located hotel on Mullingar's main street.... with free parking at the front of the hotel (no parking charges as it was bank holiday which was a bonus!) We didn't dine in the hotel as 'Oscars' restaurant nearby came highly recommended and it was well worth the visit. It's just a short walk from hotel...definitely recommend it to others. The buffet breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked and plenty of choices on offer at the breakfast bar, with plenty of seating available in the dining room area. Staff pleasant to deal with.

We had booked a twin-room (close to check-in date) and instead were given a spacious room which would normally cater for three people - huge double bed and generous sized single. It's been a long time since I had stayed at the Greville Arms Hotel and it hasn't changed that much from what I remember. The room was quite dated and in need of refurbishment, and upon checking out the next day we saw other rooms on our floor that had been extensively renovated..... staff member at reception told me the rooms were gradually being refurbished etc....so that explains things. In fairness, the rate was superb for an overnight stay including breakfast on a bank holiday Sunday.

Stayed here on route to NPA and also celebrating our anniversary. We were allocated a fabulous large room and it was exactly as we requested a quiet room. At the back of the room was a fabulous wee veranda, where we sat out and had a drink last night in a lovely garden area, so peaceful and quiet. Room was clean, bed very comfortable and fresh. Food in the hotel was delicious and all members of staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, served by a lovely lady who also offered fresh scones as soon as they arrived from kitchen. It kept us going for the whole day. All members of staff, from reception at check in, bar staff, restaurant and dining staff at breakfast to checking out were all exceptional. Definitely would recommend and will return.

Nothing to dislike here

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Mullingar. It is popular with the locals judging by the queue for the Sunday Carvery. The bar is warm and welcoming and all the staff were very attentive. There is secure CCTV parking round the back - ask the hotel how to get to it. This was great for me as I was on a motorbike. The food was good and hearty and value for money. Our room was huge very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately the built in shower was broken but there was a shower connected to the bath taps which worked well once you got the balance of the hot and cold water. I’m 5’8” and there wasn’t much head room so if you’re tall have a bath instead! Overall it was great and I will be coming back without doubt, You’ll struggle to find better.

The staff are exceptional 👌 I forget her name on reception, blond lady who was on in the mornings I want to say her name was leslie but I'm probably way off. Herself and Kathleen on breakfast are the heart and soul of the hole hotel, they are both so welcoming, helpful and hilariously fun to be around 😊 they made my hole stay. I will be back next summer just for girls alone.i couldn't thank them enough made me feel at home.

The cleaning lady knocks as she walking into the room. Only a fool would break the four second rule, didn't bother me as I was alone and she done an amazing job refreshing my room bless 🥰 but for your own embarrassment knock and wait 😆

Our bedroom was quite big it was at the back of the hotel so was quiet. We had food in Ulysses Bar on the night we stayed it was exceptionally good with lovely, friendly waiting staff. So many choices for breakfast it was excellent. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly also.

It was quite muggy on the night we stayed even with windows open could benefit from air conditioning. Lighting in bathroom for applying make-up could be better. No lift.

We were pleasantly surprised by how lovely the hotel is. It has lots of character and history. We would definitely book again. The rooms are large with very comfy beds. The only downside was the hotel looks slightly worn on the carpets, which is the only thing that let's it down. We were sorry we didn't book more nights to enjoy it more and the location. There are plenty of quiet places to sit and also a large bar area amd patio area.

Needs a carpet overhaul

Stayed for one night in this hotel, ate in dining room on the evening which was delicious . Rooms were spacious and comfortable . Breakfast next morning was superb, with an exceptional hot offering and scones & pastries also included. We had requested fat-free milk for breakfast when making the booking and we checked to ensure it would be there for breakfast , the girl at reception said that she would personal get it the following morning which she did , absolutely fantastic hotel. There was a secure car park and also a secure bicycle shed in which we were able to store our bikes for the night. Would rate this far more superior than 3 star hotel .

I can honestly say there was nothing that we didn't like about this hotel.
